Some can argue that cell phone use during school is highly uncivilized but it's extremely useful in many different ways and in different scenarios.Instead of viewing cellphones and other gadgets as negative additive distractions , we should view the positive side of celluar devices. Cell phones can help resolve issues and help make the school environment much easier, however do believe there should be restrictions , for instance not to use a phone while the teacher is having a discussion or teaching lesson. If a student can obey these rules and not use it in a disrespectful manner , then there should not be any issues. Cellular phones should be allowed in schools for threatening emergencies, to avoid double standards between teachers and students and most of all to help students with research purposes.

Now, cell phones must be added in the list of necessary things in life. It has many advantages for making our life comfortable. Like when we can call my parent after school or using cell phone to find the definition of words in the class. However, it also has disadvantages as same as the coin that has two sides. Electronics even affect kids grades. Children each day are getting chained to their phones; therefore their grades are dropping. The generation of cell phones has greatly affected us humans because children in school can be on their phones watching the next best thing while a class is going on, it is distracting the kids around them and themselves. The more cell phones that are allowed in school the more children are on their phone letting their grades drop because they are distracting themself and others. The students seem happy with their cell phones, but cell phones in school is defective —there was a problem.“It found that following a ban on phone use, the school's' test scores improved by 6.4%. The impact on underachieving students was much more significant -- their average test scores rose by 14%” (Kottasova). Cell Phones in school is superfluous because keeping students distracted can lead them to flunking their tests, can cause cyber-bullying to increase, and cheating on other test which can lead to getting in trouble.

Tap Tap, Tap. Students are constantly using cellphones in class when they should be paying attention to important materials in class. Some schools have banned cell phones. Some schools are taking advantage of cell phones and trying to them to open new possibilities for new learning experience. A cell phone is a piece of technology that can have a positive and negative effect. For example you can use it find out what you need to study. It depends on the user. Cell phones can also be used to cheat and then you wouldn’t be learning anything, except how to cheat. Do you really think that we should allow these with children that don’t know how to use them correctly? I wouldn’t. Although cell phones can open new opportunities to learning, we can not assume that students will use them for academic reasons. Therefore, cell phones are not the best thing to have in school, they shouldn't be allowed in school to ensure a good environment for the future generations of mankind. The negative effects from cell phones can distract kids from the subject they are learning in school, reduce the amount of respect students show teachers, and make schools less empathetic. The only thing that schools will get from allowing cellphones in class is nothing but trouble.

The first reason cell phones should be allowed in school is if a student needs to contact someone if they are sick. We should be allowed to call or text are parents if we feel sick. Kids will leave school and not get teachers or students sick. Kids will be able to stay at home so they can get better then come back so they do not miss too many days. If there is a emergency parents might need contact a student or something might happen at school where a student might need to call or text their parent.If kids have a condition of some sort they might need to let their parent know what they need. If students are sick and out of school for a while they should be allowed to make the work up that they missed. If students are sick and text or call someone to come get them that looks good on the school almost like they send people home so others don’t get sick and germs do not

These are the reasons why I think that students should not be allowed to have cell phones in school. Losing a phone is a major problem for young phone users. Texting is very addictive and may interfere with school work. Another reason is that students may attempt to play a video game instead of paying attention in class. Cheating is also a very worrisome possibility in middle school. In the next paragraph, I will go into detail about the reasons I have just stated.

Phones an everyday tool should be allowed in some cases to be used in school. Teacher and administration are restricting the use of phones in school. Students should be allowed to use phones during school.
