Use of Biopsychology in Therapy Sessions: Psychotherapy is described as the treatment of emotional difficulties, mental illness, and behavioral difficulties through often non-invasive psychological ways. This field is based on the principle that human psychological suffering can be lessened through speaking and listening. A psychotherapy session is based on interpersonal interactions between a trained psychotherapists and a suffering person. While there are various forms of psychotherapy, there are usually referred to as talking therapies. However, the main objective of the various forms of psychotherapy normally involve the reduction of the symptoms, changing living patterns, and enhancing certain areas of life functioning. The varying techniques used in the psychotherapy sessions are usually dependent on the theoretical orientation of the psychotherapist. One of the major theoretical orientations of the psychotherapist is his or her knowledge of biopsychology or biological behavior. Biopsychology has emerged as an important for psychotherapy since it the scientific study of the biological substrates of an individual mental states or behavior. Through studying biopsychology, psychotherapists obtain knowledge regarding the link between all behaviors and the nervous system. Since the approach to psychotherapy is partly determined by the training and experience of the psychotherapist, the professional can use his or her knowledge of biological behavior in various ways
