Valedictorian Speech
Wow. We finally made it. For some, it has been a year, three years, six years, or maybe even ten years in McGivney. Throughout these years, we have created many special moments together as a family. Good morning/afternoon/evening to all parents, teachers, priests and of course, the graduating class of 2017. Today, we celebrate our successes and lessons learned which have brought us to this very moment. I would like to take the time to appreciate the people who have helped to get us into places where we all are today as individuals, filled with wisdom, strength, and pride. Now with all of my classmates, we would like to take you all on a wonderful journey through those past amazing years. Remember

Every single one of us had a spiritual guide who would always be there for us throughout our faith. As we became confirmed and the Holy Spirit entered into our bodies, we were filled with these gifts from God such as fortitude and knowledge. A very special teacher once told me that “Life is not a bed of roses” which I did not understand at first, but I soon realized its meaning that there will be many ups and downs that we all will come across in our lives. Each person holds the responsibility of making their life the bed of roses. Success in every field of life never comes to you on its own; you have to strive hard to get to …show more content…
If sad moments are not faced, one can never realize the worth of the happy moments. Adversity is that great part of life which leads you towards the successful future. Adversity makes you stronger and enough capable of bearing the entire crisis you face, traveling through the different stages of life, in order to make you stronger both mentally and physically. There were many extra-curricular activities where we would stay active or make our faith much stronger. As a class, most of us were privileged enough to go on a trip to Ottawa, learning about how our government works, visiting museums and gaining knowledge on much more. Now it comes to eighth grade, having many fun experiences that were heading our way. Winning the soccer and the basketball tournament, having a dance competition and going on many retreats to the high school to find out what our future
Everyone had warned me about how stressful it was, how much homework there was, but I hadn’t believed them until I got there. Eighth grade is hard. I had to face the truth. I was doing pretty swell, but then Winter Break came around, and my grades started to slip. My parents were grounding me, they were taking things away, but nothing seemed to be working. So they finally decided to tell me if I didn’t improve, they weren’t taking me on the ski trip with my whole family. That put my act together, and my grades started to improve, and new opportunities came up. I started joining clubs, and my life was pretty good once
I want to start off this evening by giving my appreciation for the people who have played an important role in shaping our lives up to graduation. I want to thank the people that supported us through our heart breaks and our successes, to those who served as a friend when we needed them most, to the people who served us hot food after a long day of school, and who helped make every party and celebration a success. Yes, I am talking about the wonderful people at Chipotle. #ChipotleisLife. Just kidding, I sincerely want to thank our
First off I would like to congratulate everyone for making it this far. I would like to thank my classmates, my friends, and my family. I especially want to thank our teachers, for always supporting and encouraging us. If it weren’t for the people who support us daily, we would not be where we are today. I would like everyone to turn to their families, and teachers to thank them for all that they have done for us.
Dear administrators, teachers, parents, beloved friends, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 8th grade graduation. It’s a pleasure to be standing in front of you today on this beautiful day to express the happiness we all feel.
Good morning Principle Boyd, proud parents, faculty, and fellow graduates, to this extraordinary celebration breakfast, in honor of Our Lady of Grace Catholic School Class of 2017. Yes, I am graduating 8th grade, but I still have to make my bed, be nice to my siblings, do my chores, I cannot drive a car, I must continue putting my Iphone into my locker every night, so that I will not be grounded! Nevertheless, I am graduating from Our Lady of Grace Catholic School, and I feel like I found a pot-of-gold at the end of the rainbow.
I believe I should be considered for this honor because the actions I have taken from the moment I stepped on this campus encompass the pillars of The Maroon and Gold Society. For instance, my current position within student government tasks me with helping the members of the organization to develop and harness their leadership abilities, as well as finding their place in the Loyola community. I do what I do at Loyola because I truly love this university. I became a Resident Assistant because I wanted to share and create the love and community that I experienced my freshman year. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone find their home within Loyola.
Furthermore, I do not regret a single part of this year, and even parts of eighth grade I was dreading, such as the National History Day project, turned out to be wonderful learning experiences that I genuinely enjoyed participating in. Thank you, teachers for continuing to find ways to encourage our further learning. Thank you, fellow classmates for helping me and making me smile. Thank you, Mrs. Arzola, Mrs. Chung, and all of the South Pointe staff for investing in so many new programs. And finally, thank you to the whole South Pointe community for supporting each other as we all continued to grow together and find out what our true passions are. I am both excited and extremely nervous for my journey into high school, and I can only hope to find another school as great as this one, that will continue to shape our lives just as South Pointe has. So, as we exit the grounds today and move onto high school, I can’t help but think that we will all reconvene here when our children will have the privilege of walking in our
I want to apologize for the way I conducted myself on the night of January 28, 2017. The poor decision that I made to drive while intoxicated, was morally wrong to the citizens of Mclean County. The night of January 28, 2017, I put numerous people in danger a behavior that won't have recurrences.
Very Reverend Edward Quinlan, Sister Mary Anne, clergy, members of the Board of Directors, administration, faculty, staff, parents, family members, and friends. Good evening and welcome to the graduation ceremony for Bishop McDevitt High School’s Class of 2017. On behalf of my classmates, I would like to thank you all for the encouragement and guidance you have given us, as we finish these years with pride, integrity, and respect for both ourselves and for each other. Most importantly, thank you to our parents. Without your endless love, hugs, and care, we would not be donning these blue caps and gowns, ready to receive the diplomas that you have helped us earn.
Good morning, my name is Jacqueline Heitmann and I am currently a 8th grader at St. Rose of Lima. As of tonight, we will be graduating into high school, a new step in our journey. Before I begin, I'd like to give big "Thank You" on behalf of my class to all of our faculty, staff, parents, sponsors, and everyone who was involved in our St. Rose experience. You may not have known it, but each and everyone of you has played a huge part in our daily lives, and we want you all to know that.
Hey! (Applause.) What's going on? (Applause.) Thank you all so much. You guys, that's a command -- rest yourselves. (Laughter.) We're almost at the end. (Laughter.) Hello, everyone. And, may I say for the last time officially, welcome to the White House. Yes! (Applause.) Well, we are beyond thrilled to have you all here to celebrate the 2017 National School Counselor of the Year, as well as all of our State Counselors of the Year. These are the fine women, and a few good men -- (laughter) -- one good man -- who are on this stage, and they represent schools from across this country.
Good Morning and Welcome Distinguished Guests, family, and friends of our Graduating Class, it is an honor to have you join us this morning for such a wonderful occasion.
Hello everyone! Thank you for attending our graduation. We’re all glad you could make it.
So to the class of 06', I'd like to say thanks for the memories and good luck. You're gonna need it.
