Ray Bradbury is an American writer who lived from 1920 to 2012 (Paradowski). Written in 1950, “The Veldt” is even more relevant to today than it was then. Imagine you 're in a silent dead house The only noise you hear is yourself breathing. You hear yourself breathing in and out as you walk around with everything off. You turned everything off and it feels like there 's dead body everywhere. Your kids are begging you to turn everything back on not wanting to leave the nursery. This is what happens in the book “The Veldt” by Ray Bradbury is about the family and their kids have this room that is called the nursery. In the nursery the point is to travel where ever you want but you stay in the house you just see what is looks like. Their kids Wendy and Peter don 't use it for that reason. They only go to one place and one place only and that is Africa. One thing that happens in this book is that the kids are too obsessed with technology like the nursery which is to learn about other places and what they they look like and what it feels like, but that’s not what they do and things are getting out of control with them always visiting Africa.

In a story, the tone is often more important than any other kind of Author’s Craft. This is best seen in the short story The Veldt by Ray Bradbury The most prominent of all being Tone/Mood. All throughout the story are tiny clues and hints about the end fate of the parents, and the inner minds of their children. Through the story, they hear eerily familiar screams coming from the Nursery. While there is still tons of tone, there is many other kinds of Author’s Craft in the story. For instance, there is metaphors of how technology can take over your life and vivid imagery. Each detail is made in a creepy way, designed to bring chills up your spine. Every dialogue has a worried tone, from the parents fearful for their lives and children, to the ending words of the story. The story is absolutely saturated with tone.

He graduated from Los Angeles High School in 1938 but he did not attend college. However, he thinks libraries are much more important than colleges and universities.

In the novel, the Veldt, Lydia and George Hadley live in a Happy-life Home, a technological marvel that automatically tends to every need of them. For example, it dresses them, cooks food, brushes their teeth and rocks them to sleep. But unfortunately, after Peter and Wendy, the kids of Lydia and George Hadley realized their parents demanded the cessation of these overly convenient techniques, they had disgusted for his parents and thought the importance of these techniques

In ¨The Veldt¨ by Ray Bradbury the parents, George and Lydia are at fault for their own deaths, because they did not limit their kids screen time which made the kids spoiled. Also the parents didn't spend time with their kids, which made the family more spread out and not close.

According to a study done by Living Planet Report in 2015, 29% of the world’s fishing stocks are considered overfished and an additional 61% is fully exploited with no possibility to produce more fish. Our environment is currently afflicted by a number of different problems, one of which is overfishing. Overfishing is defined by FishOnline as, “Fishing with a sufficiently high intensity to reduce the breeding stock levels to such an extent that they will no longer support a sufficient quantity of fish for sport or commercial harvest.” The overfishing situation is being exacerbated by non-sustainable and destructive fishing practices and unfair fisheries partnership agreements; while there are currently attempts being made at fixing these problems and their effects on overfishing, nothing has been extremely effective.

This issue of overfishing covers vast fields, such as science, humanity, economy, society and nature. The term “optimum”, in regard to the yield from a fishery, is difficult to be defined, precisely and fixedly. Generally speaking, we can describe it as follows: (Niles E. In the short story “ The Veldt” the Hadley’s live in the futuristic “Happylife” home where the house does everything for them. Meanwhile in the modern world, a scientist in Switzerland has invented two devices that could reverse paralysis. Technology is advancing fast as society is trying to reverse paralysis, which may be a blessing or a detriment to the world, similar to the innovations in the short story “ The Veldt”.
