I have always been interested in animals, when I was younger I would save baby animals or sick animals from the sides of the road and care for them until they were able to do so themselves. Ever since I can remember my future career was seen as achieving in being a veterinarian and have my own clinic. In this clinic I do not plan on working on ordinary animals, my goal is to become a big animal and exotics vet. My current academics and extracurriculars that help me with my achievement are my animal science class, biology and my participation on the Vet Tech team in FFA. My Animal Science class provides information about veterinary experiences and what is expected to become eligible to work with animals and Vet Tech allows me to learn about
I used to tell my friends and teachers that I wanted to explore the medical field because that was what my family wanted me to do. They wanted me to become a doctor as it is a well praised profession that pays extremely well. As I grew older and entered middle school, I realized that becoming a doctor wasn’t something I was immensely interested in. Instead of a doctor, I wanted to become a veterinarian, treating animals instead of people. I’ve become aware of my passion for animals ever since I began having pets: from fish to hamsters to dogs. I decided to focus on animals when I first took one of my hamsters to a veterinarian. I thought that their profession was fun and interesting because it revolves around animals, something that I love and grown up with. Although studying veterinary sciences is difficult and competitive, becoming an animal doctor has been one of my greatest
I have an interest of being at a school where I want to be a vet tech. I would like to learn more about animals than I am now at the career center being in a animal care class. That would make my application complete trying to get into a school with vet tech classes. I would like to learn how to take care of sick animals and how the vet tech does x rays and all kinds of experience that I would like to see because i’m not getting that kind of experience at the medina county career center. Or to be a vet tech assistant because I love working with animals and it’s a type of career field I would really enjoy. I think really looking into the kind of hands on training with learning more about the animals I will really get a kick out of because that
Veterinary technicians are like the techies of the theatre; the organization would be able to function without them, but it would be much harder. Things run a lot more smoothly with vet techs. There are multiple benefits that come with being a veterinary technician. These benefits include, but are not limited to, a high job outlook, great room for advancement, and only two years of schooling (depending on the route you take). Above all, the animals, who aren’t always able to help themselves, are being taken care of.
The career that I want to achieve is a Veterinarian. I want to become a Veterinarian after I graduate college. Want to become that, because I would like to help out animals that are sick and be able to make their owners happy. I would have to go to high school and go to classes to learn about health science. Then, go to college and learn more about science so I will be able to know what is need to become a veterinarian. I will get my degree in college and graduate.
I have also had a small amount of Equine husbandry and surgery assistant as well at Dr. Wendell Baker’s veterinary clinic, most of my experience surgery wise were several castrations, teeth floating, and restraining for x-rays. I have also had a great array of experiences while currently shadowing at the Cy-Fair Animal Hospital with Dr. Diarra Blue and Dr. Michael Lavigne in regards to small animal medicine. I have been exposed to so many situations and learned a very good amount of knowledge about veterinary medicine in general. Honestly I believe that everyone should contribute to society by doing what they love to do. I can honestly say that having a career as a veterinarian will allow me to serve society in the most effective way possible I want to help people by making sure their animals are one-hundred percent healthy, or help society with food safety by making sure livestock are safe and healthy for human consumption of those animals and their respective byproducts, or maybe be a part of maintaining and monitoring the health of certain wildlife for
I believe in the proverb ” the happiest moment for a person is when he find the one who has the same pursuit as he does.” I still can remember my feeling in that moment when I found a college called Sewanee - the University of the South- and our common pursuit of academics and cultural diversity.
I love animals and I would love to work with them. Ever since I was a little girl I knew I would want to work with animals because they interested me so much. Becoming a veterinarian isn’t just about playing with dogs and cats all day; you are actually in charge of taking care of them and this is a no messing around job. You are responsible for whatever happens to that dog or any other animal. It’s a tough and serious job but I’m up for the challenge because it’s what I want to do for the rest of my
On Friday, January 25,2018 I interviewed Amanda Martz. She is a Licensed Veterinary Technician at Savannah Animal Hospital in Lewes Delaware. She studied in the Veterinary Technician Program at Delaware Technical Community College, after her completion of the course she passed the exam and received her license to practice.
As a child, everyone dreams of what that they want to become in world. Some want to grow up to be doctors, garage drivers, teachers and dancers. My dream has not always been clear to me; I wanted to be a neonatal nurse while I was in high school. I took courses throughout high school, and discovered that nursing was not God’s plan was for me. I did not find out that animal care was what I was truly passionate about until the days after my dog got ran over. Wrapping her bandages, cleaning her wounds and giving her medicine brought to me such joy that I have never felt before. Becoming a veterinarian was not what I planned, but it is was what I become passionate about.
When you were a kid, you probably carried around some sort of toy that you liked. For girls it might have been barbie dolls or the life-sized baby dolls. If you were a boy it was probably little toy cars (and we all carried around a blanket at one point in our life). But for me it was always stuffed animals that hung around in my hands. I was hardly interested in the dolls and doll houses that other girls had. My mother tells me that wherever I went (and there are pictures to prove it) I always carried a stuffed animal around. Whether it be a pig, cat, or monkey, I was always holding a stuffed toy. When I was told that there was a job for caring for the animals that I cherished, I was overcome with joy, I wouldn’t stop answering the question,
When I was a little girl, I had my heart set on being a veterinarian. During middle school I tried to volunteer at the animal hospital. I wanted to learn everything I could about animals and help the veterinarians there, with their job. By the time I entered eighth grade, I knew that I wanted to get more involved. Once it came time to choose classes
From first glance, my current extra-curricular activities have nothing that remotely relate to my aspiration. With a wide range in activities, they range from being a team
Veterinarians provide medical services for animals that are big and small. Helping sick animals weather they are big or small. They provide medicine for house pets and farm animals. When owners take there pet to the vet they are looking for someone to provide information to them about their animal. Some of the information given to the own is about how to properly care for your animal to make sure it grows the right why. Veterinarians are there to help animals no matter the size.
As long as I can remember, I wanted to do something with animals when I got older. I would dream about helping when they are in need. I have always wanted to be a veterinarian since day one. With growing up, I learned that veterinary students go through a lot to become a veterinary. Writing is very important and it's needed in anybody wants to go into. To be an animal sciences major, a lot of research papers have to be written and as well as persuasive papers.
Throughout most of my life I have had one consistent goal; to become a veterinarian. I have had a continuous and solid passion for animals in all respects. This passion and love has fueled my in striving to achieve the dreams I have for myself after high school. The beginning of this story begins long before high school though.
