High School is a big milestone for me, I’ve been at Villa Montessori for all eleven years of my education. I want to find a high school that follows the guidelines Villa has taught me, and furthermore find the superior high school that suits me. When I went to shadow day, I observed how involved and friendly everyone was on campus. Plus the students were being taught, and how interesting the campus and classrooms were to me. Now that I am searching for a high school, I am looking for one with a system similar to Villa’s, strong education and nice people, and opportunities that allow me to contribute to the school.
At Villa Montessori, everyone has a hands-on learning experience. I think Brophy is very similar in that way, like how they get to use 3D printers to create their own things. At Villa, I’ve always been able to exercise my imagination, whether it be through writing a story, or making unique 3D models. At Villa, I was taught well, not only of an academic sort, but of

I want to join the clubs I’m interested in, join a soccer team, and make an impact on Brophy. One of the clubs that I would probably join is music, I like to play the piano, and maybe the club could help me improve more. I am also interested in the speech and debate team since that is one of the things I did in sixth grade. Soccer is one of my favorite things to do, and joining the Brophy soccer team would be awesome! There are many great opportunities for me to do things outside of school in Brophy, and that is part of the reason that I want to go there.
These are some of the reasons that I have for wanting to become a Bronco. I really want to get in, and I will work hard to earn it. Aside from wanting to get in, I want a school with a similar structure to Villa, quality education, and more than just school to do. Thank you for taking the time to read my essay, I hope I can be part of Brophy next
In this letter, I hope to show you why I am interested in going to County Prep. County Prep has been my number one choice for high school. The County Prep mission statement says, “We are a dynamic, diverse and compassionate learning community…” From only this part of the statement, it shows me that this high school is not only an active learning community; it is also a distinct and caring community. This statement persuades me that every student that enters County Prep feels comfortable and that they are there because their future depends on this place. High school is the starting point to pick what you want to be when you grow up. I choose County Prep because it gives you a head start on college and I believe this is what my future depends
From what I have been through, my current high school experience has not been meeting my expectations. After speaking with friends and parents, I believe that Archbishop Mitty High School can provide the experience that I am seeking. One aspect I am looking for is a larger campus, school community and a safer environment. I feel that the size and location of Archbishop Mitty will help enhance my learning experience. Something else I am looking for in my new high school experience is more school spirit and camaraderie. I have attended many sports events at Archbishop Mitty and I have thoroughly enjoyed the enthusiasm and spirit of the environment. One last reason is that I am looking for a school that can provide a larger class selection with
Sherman Institute opened its doors in 1902, a century and a half before the birth of Lorene Sisquoc. An off-reservation government boarding school for Indian children, Sherman Institute aimed to rid young American Indians of their languages and cultures. Following the lead of Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Supervisor of Indian Schools Estelle Reel, founding Sherman Superintendent Harwood Hall and his staff crafted a curriculum rooted in low expectations for Indian students. Industrial, agricultural, and vocational classes prepared students for lives of domestic service and menial labor. The daily rhythms of non-reservation boarding schools proved to be a shock for many young Indians. Students lived according to a tightly regimented, military-like
What are challenges faced by native american children in reservation schools today, according to Maxwell? How is the Morongo school used as an example to show how these challenges can be addressed?

In 1910, when this school was first open, many students throughout the United States still attended classes in one-room schoolhouses. Aside from the one-room schoolhouse in Marshwood, Olyphant had progressed beyond that stage. This building was the centerpiece of the Olyphant School District. It had the look of a high school in a major city. At the time all of the streets in downtown Olyphant were paved with red brick. Most of the students lived within walking distance of the school. They were able to walk home to eat lunch. Therefore, no one ever thought of including a cafeteria in the building plans. It was built without a cafeteria or kitchen of any kind.
William Carey Christian school is a school that promotes and struggles to promote certain aspects of health. Some examples of promoting health are the healthy canteen options and sporting criteria.
San Juan del Rio Catholic School (SJDR) is a parish within the Diocese of St. Augustine. It is located in Saint John’s County and in a rather affluent section. There are many strengths of San Juan del Rio Catholic School but there are some weaknesses that need to be addressed. One of the main things we need at San Juan del Rio is more activities and sports teams. Our students are very competitive and play numerous sports are a part of many clubs outside of school. They are also very involved in many activities which require travel throughout the year. Having more activities and sports teams throughout the school year would ensure a variety of students enrolling in our school and would meet the needs of the students at SJDR. After-school programs develop critical traits that prepare our students or adulthood while keeping them safe and entertained.
The author seems to feel strongly that Collegiate Preparatory High School is a superior high school to Exover Academy. Before I present a well-reasoned critique of her argument, it is important to note that the author is a parent of a Collegiate student. This suggests she could hold a bias in favor of Collegiate, especially considering that she is arguing in favor of Collegiate. Perhaps she wants to justify her decision to send her child to Collegiate - clearly no parent wants to feel that they sent their child to the worse school, so she may be enacting psychological mechanisms to bolster her self-esteem. With this in mind, we may begin to critique her argument.
Currently in the United States, the education system has middle schools from grades six through eight, elementary schools from kindergarten through fifth grade and high school 9th through 12th grade. Although there was a change in the school system, school was not always this way. Ninth grade students were put into middle schools instead of high school and sixth grade students were put into elementary schools. Unfortunately some of these students do not do well in a middle school and have lower grades, are not mature enough, and have a hard time dealing with peer pressure. Six
Saint Martin de Porres High School in Cleveland, Ohio is a co-ed catholic college preparatory institution on a mission to provide a quality education and invaluable work experience to inner city youth. The vision Saint Martin de Porres High School has for each student is to attend a college or university. Thus far their goal has been achieved; however the school does not guarantee your student a baccalaureate degree. Saint Martin students usually fall under the category of first-generation college students. Their lack of knowledge and experience about higher education sets them at a disadvantage when it comes to academic success and graduation completion. Formal research has yet to be conducted on the success of Saint Martin de Porres High School students. Due to personal ties with Saint Martin de Porres High School, it is necessary to look into these issues to preserve the longevity of Saint Martin and to ensure the success of its graduates beyond high school graduation.
At UCI, I plan to expand my horizons through the variety of clubs and classes there is to offer. Throughout high school, I constantly strived to make a difference in my community and I hope to continue this in college. With plenty of connections and resources, I want to participate in bigger and better service projects. My motivations come from the social interactions I have had in high school. Clubs have allowed me to see the various perspectives of people and how they try to change the circumstances of their community. I have met many compassionate and loving individuals and I hope to find more at UCI. They have inspired me to do more than what I have already done.
In the Op. Ed. "A Silicon Valley School That Doesn't Compute" by Matt Richtel develops its purpose early, relies on ethical and emotional appeal, and allows the reader to develop an opinion to explain why the use of technology is not permitted in Waldorf schools and whether it should or should not be permitted in other schools.
It was a beautiful and sunny day at Montessori Children House. I rang the bell, which indicated the end of outdoor play time. Children started putting away tricycles and sand toys, stacking the blocks and walking towards the classroom door. Within a few minutes, the outdoor play area was cleaned up and almost most of the children returned to the classroom.
Traditional and alternative high schools are just two of the many ways a student can earn a high school diploma. Both options are public and usually consist of the same requirements for graduation. An alternative high school is defined by dictionary.com as “A school with an educational setting designed to accommodate educational, behavioral, and/or medical needs of children and adolescents that cannot be adequately addressed in a traditional school environment.” When a student is choosing a high school there are many factors they might consider; one should first create their own ideals for a high school experience before choosing. While traditional and alternative high schools have some similarities, differences are more evident based on three main categories: education style, student populace, and possible opportunities.
