Warrior Cats Dapplepaw yawned, it was nearly sunhigh and everybody was awake. She pushed herself to her paws, and quietly exited the apprentices den. Soft paw-steps immediately padded towards her. Dapplepaw turned her crania to find her friend Applepaw walking towards her. “Hello Dapplepaw!” The younger apprentice purred to her. “Hello Applepaw!” Applepaw settled beside her. A familiar scent caught their attention, the apprentices looked around only to find their mentors, Cinderfur and Mouseclaw, hiding in an attempt to scare them. “Come on out, we can smell you.’’ Dapplepaw rolled her yellow orbs. “Great job Dapplepaw.” Her mentor Cinderfur said, getting up, followed by Mouseclaw. “Alright, let’s hunt you two. We have a whole clan to feed.” Mouseclaw said walking off to the camp entrance. “Alright, let’s split up!” Mouseclaw said as they was walking. Dapplepaw decided to hunt at the river. Dapplepaw crouched down, her fur barely scraped the soft grass. She perked her audits forward, in hopes to hear the squeak better. The same soft squeak soon came again, and it was right in front of her, at least it sounded like it was. Before Dapplepaw could step forward, a startling squeak pierced her ears. Dirtstripe pounced on her, pinning her onto the ground. Dirtstripe tried biting her neck, but Dapplepaw kicked Dirtstripe’s stomach with force. Dirtstripe went flying into the air, which gave Dapplepaw an advantage. Once the brown tom landed on the forest floor, Dapplepaw lunged getting a good hold on his neck. “Let go!” Dirtstripe yelled once more. Before long, Cinderfur, Mousefur, and Applepaw arrived in shock. “Dapplepaw let him go.” Cinderfur ordered. Dapplepaw happily let go, making the warrior retreat. “Very well Dapplepaw. I think believe Greystar made you two warriors, let’s return to camp.” Cinderfur said in approval, and they turned away towards
