Warrior Cats Dapplepaw yawned, it was nearly sunhigh and everybody was awake. She pushed herself to her paws, and quietly exited the apprentices den. Soft paw-steps immediately padded towards her. Dapplepaw turned her crania to find her friend Applepaw walking towards her. “Hello Dapplepaw!” The younger apprentice purred to her. “Hello Applepaw!” Applepaw settled beside her. A familiar scent caught their attention, the apprentices looked around only to find their mentors, Cinderfur and Mouseclaw, hiding in an attempt to scare them. “Come on out, we can smell you.’’ Dapplepaw rolled her yellow orbs. “Great job Dapplepaw.” Her mentor Cinderfur said, getting up, followed by Mouseclaw. “Alright, let’s hunt you two. We have a whole clan to feed.” Mouseclaw said walking off to the camp entrance. “Alright, let’s split up!” Mouseclaw said as they was walking. Dapplepaw decided to hunt at the river. Dapplepaw crouched down, her fur barely scraped the soft grass. She perked her audits forward, in hopes to hear the squeak better. The same soft squeak soon came again, and it was right in front of her, at least it sounded like it was. Before Dapplepaw could step forward, a startling squeak pierced her ears. Everything went silent. …show more content…
Dirtstripe pounced on her, pinning her onto the ground. Dirtstripe tried biting her neck, but Dapplepaw kicked Dirtstripe’s stomach with force. Dirtstripe went flying into the air, which gave Dapplepaw an advantage. Once the brown tom landed on the forest floor, Dapplepaw lunged getting a good hold on his neck. “Let go!” Dirtstripe yelled once more. Before long, Cinderfur, Mousefur, and Applepaw arrived in shock. “Dapplepaw let him go.” Cinderfur ordered. Dapplepaw happily let go, making the warrior retreat. “Very well Dapplepaw. I think believe Greystar made you two warriors, let’s return to camp.” Cinderfur said in approval, and they turned away towards
ThunderClan’s camp had been ruined in the fire and had to be rebuilt. The four Clans were meeting at The Gathering Place. There a new leader was announced for the ShadowClan, who was Tigerstar. All of the Clans were shocked that Tigerstar was the new leader of ShadowClan. Fireheart was the speaker for ThunderClan because Bluestar was sick from the smoke. Fireheart and Bluestar were very concerned that Tigerstar was the new leader of ShadowClan because they knew that he had done some very bad things. The other Clans did not know of the bad things he had done. Bluestar decided to double the patrols to protect ThunderClan. To better protect ThunderClan, Fireheart wants to make some of the apprentice cats into warrior cats, but Bluestar, the leader, only wants Cloudpaw to be a warrior. Cinderpelt had a dream that dogs were heard in the forest chanting “pack, pack and kill, kill.” No one knew what the dream meant. Bluestar, the leader of the ThunderClan, is mentally unstable. She wants to start a battle to attack WindClan to get into a battle over land. Fireheart knew that ThunderClan was not ready for a battle so soon after the fire. Fireheart teamed up with some others and prevented the battle with WindClan.

The film called “The Cats of Mirikitani,” describes the story of a man named Jimmy Mirikitani. Jimmy was born in Sacramento, California in 1920. He was raised and educated in Hiroshima Japan. He came back to the United States in order to pursue his dream of becoming an artist. Unfortunately, in 2001, he ended up living in the streets of New York. In order to survive, he used to sell his paintings. Those paintings showed his love for cats and illustrated his experiences through life such as: his childhood in Hiroshima, Pearl Harbor and WWII camps. During WWII he denied his American Citizenship but years later, he got his citizenship back. However, he never received the letter to inform him that he was again an American citizen. On September 11, after the terrorist attack of the World Trade Center, a woman named Linda decided to invite Jimmy to her apartment, so he had a safe place to stay. Linda had been filming Jimmy’s art for a while. However, after she decided to bring him to her apartment, She started to become more involved in his life
A lithe form slinked through the pristine snow, her paws going numb from the constant unbridling unsuccessful search of prey. Being an experienced hunter now, PigeonEye knew that this was no small dilemma, but an ominous sign. She and a hunting party of three warriors had been sent out to hunt hours ago, and yet still, the terrain seemed barren, devoid of a stable amount of prey to feed their clan. The she-cat shivered and paused for a moment to survey they area, her fellow clan-mates halted and watched her with weary appearances, each thin and poignant. PigeonEye ignored them, an unshattered defiance and determination to serve her clan burning within her. If they did not bring back food when they returned, why return anyway. She was willing to die for her clan, even if she would die for a cause that might be remembered as pitiful foolhardy stubbornness.
“ Yes, I want her in my office in 30 minutes.” I told him as I walked past him. I went to the top floor of the house where my room was and cleaned myself up. The closer I got to meeting the girl the more restless my wolf got. As quickly as I could I got ready to meet the rouge that was brave enough to pass on to my
“No Sir, I’m sure it's them wolfs again” he said worried, while the chief looked at me with hate.
She took a quick look around the last turn before the main street that led to the school. She noticed several boys and girls in the alleyways on both sides of the narrow street. It looked as if every class at her school, several young ladies and even her teacher waited for her in ambush. She ducked back before they could see her, hiked up her dress, and ran as fast as her little legs could carry her in the opposite direction of the angry mob. She didn’t stop until she had found the forest path that she needed and breathed a sigh of relief when she heard no one in pursuit. The forest surroundings felt different for some reason and it frightened her. It had a forbidding feel to it this dawn like she had never felt in the past.
“Leafkit, Shimmerkit, and Shiningkit come forth!” yowled Flamestar, who then turned to face Leafkit. “Leafkit, from this moment on, until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Leafpaw.” Flamestar glanced at Rainshimmer. “Rainshimmer, you will be Leafpaw’s mentor, I hope you pass on your expert hunting skills to this apprentice.” Leafpaw strode confidently over to her mentor and touched noses. Then Flamestar turned to face Shimmerkit. “Shimmerkit, from this moment on you shall be known as Shimmerpaw. Tigerflower, you will be Shimmerpaw’s mentor, and I hope you pass on your fighting skills and understanding of others to her.” Shimmerpaw scampered towards her mentor and touched noses rather clumsily, for it was more of a crash then a gentle gesture. Lastly, Flamestar turned to Shinningkit. “Shiningkit, from this moment on you shall be known as Shiningpaw, and your mentor will be, Kinkwillow. Kinkwillow I hope you pass on your knowledge to this young apprentice.” Yowls and cheers came from the clan as Shiningpaw finished touching noses with her mentor. Emeraldkit reluctantly started yowling her sisters names as loud as she could, even though she could feel jealousy climbing up her back like spiders. “Shiningpaw! Shimmerpaw! Leafpaw! Shiningpaw! Shimmerpaw! Leafpaw!!!!” she yowled. With her head hanging low, Emeraldkit padded to the nursery thinking, I’m going to be the strongest, bravest, and smartest warrior ever! They’ll
Once they were there, the quarter-mile trek to their place had to be made. It was a small, circular clearing in the cone-bearing woods. The area around the fire pit was dirt, for safety reasons. On the outskirts of the copper-colored dirt were five large, round logs arranged in a circle for sitting. Just a few feet beyond the logs, the forest began again in copious amounts of vegetation and growth, like an untamed lion. That night’s weather was just right. The cool air was
Her body went rigid, when a snort from behind her caught her attention, the air that brushed across her flesh sent goose bumps along her skin as the hair on the back of her neck slowly stood up. She slowly turned to
The short story, “Catskin”, written by Kelly Link is similar to that of a fairytale. Although this story may include some references to modern life, a lot of this story mentions witches and princesses, however, there is little to no magic. This is a somewhat unusual tale of a lonely witch whose magical family and devoted son must deal with her death, the death of their mother. The story “Catskin” makes for a chilling themed read. “Catskin” does satisfy the plot requirement.
The sun began its descent into the west. Beams of light scattered amongst the large pines covering the countryside. It was a perfect day for hunting, but as the day neared its end the northern chill began to creep in. Sapphire Blackwulf sat atop her wooden cart as she wheeled it through the gates of Narsis, she had her head held high, not able to hold back her sense of accomplishment that seemed to emanate from her. She relished with pride from the two elk bucks that lay motionless in the back of her cart; the evidence of her successful hunt. From her seat, Sapphire noticed the occasional lingering eyes of the townsfolk, but she could not tell if it was in mild fascination, or something else entirely. What she was certain of however, was when woman of the Dohl brought
Tigerheart crashed through the gorse, stopping when he saw Hollyleaf. "Let me help!" he said, shoving his nose under Hollyleaf's shoulder, and together, we began to carry Hollyleaf to ThunderClan camp. As we approached ThunderClan camp I heard Dovewing call for Leafpool and Jayfeather. As we came through the entrance, Dovewing ran to meet us. "Ivypool, are you hurt?" she asked, but I was in too much shock to answer at first. Firestar ran past Dovewing, taking Hollyleaf off my shoulders. When Dovewing asked what had happened again I managed to tell her that Hollyleaf saved my life. I could tell that Dovewing was worried that I had almost died, but she didn't say anything, she just pressed against me and turned me towards ThunderClan camp. When Poppyfrost asked me if I had seen Molepaw or Cherrypaw, I just murmured that they could be anywhere. When it seemed that Hollyleaf was going to die I yowled at Jayfeather and Leafpool, "You have to save her! Hawkfrost tried to kill me, but Hollyleaf chased him away." I saw Brambleclaw's eyes darken. "Hawkfrost? He did this?" I felt terrible. "I was fighting Snowtuft and Thistleclaw. I couldn't help her," I
Like every fascinating story, Jaguar Knights Bane had to end, but, it did not leave the audience hanging and without a moral lesson to learn. Jaguar Knights Bane, epic poem, is about an arrogant, and narcissistic Aztec that thinks he is capable to do everything by himself. The main character comes to v realization of his mistake when it is too late to fix it. His arrogance causes him to lose friends, soldiers, family, and the approbation of society. Thus, making Jaguar Knights Bane by Ricky Pacheco, Caeden Gamboa, Sahamira Torres, and Kenney Rodriguez a myth that should be passed down from generation to generation.
My senile grandpa lived with us for a short while before his death. He'd sleep on the floor in the living room, claimed beds were uncomfortable. Our cat, Miles, would knock knickknacks off the shelves onto grandpa in the night. He'd wake up pissed as hell, fuming about how the cat was trying to kill him like in the Cat From Hell segment from Tales From The Darkside.
