Many people are having debates and talking about Gun-Control. This is important because not that many laws enforce gun laws in which everyone needs. Many terrible things have happened because there aren’t that many gun control laws. For Example; Shootings, Murder, Robberies, Etc. Gun-Control needs to be recognized because civilians have too many guns, we need Gun-Control laws for everybody, and talks about how many black people are being killed because of the lack of Gun-Control laws.
Today there are more than 270,000,000 guns in the world. There are many countries in which every house owner must have a gun. Debaters argue that civilians need guns for self-defense. Guns used to be only used for hunting and self-defense and now a majority
Gun Control in America has been argued back and forth for decades past. On one side it is strongly believed that the Second Amendment suggests that individual citizens have a constitutionally protected right to own a gun and protect themselves. These individuals believe that gun control laws do not in fact reduce gun violence. On the other side it is said if Gun Control laws are enacted there would be less gun and school violence. Also, it would be harder for criminals and juveniles to obtain a firearm. Both sides have very valid arguments and historical evidence to back their positions on within this debate.
One of the most important legislation part for control violence in today's society are certainly the laws related to gun control. As with every important question, there are two opposite opinions on whether in Wisconsin we should have about gun control. My opinion is that we should have more gun control in Wisconsin. My point of view is based on the ability to better protect women from domestic abuse; the threat of people who already passed background check, and the necessity to reduce mass shooting in Wisconsin.
The role guns play in our society has long been debated on whether or not citizens have the right to own guns. There are those who believe that guns have no role in the hands of private citizens. Whereas there are those who believe that guns are the very foundation that protects our rights and liberties expressed in the Constitution. The debate is over whether or not there should be stricter laws preventing people to own guns. Though gun control and gun rights advocates share similar views on background checks and requirements, each have different views on the safety of guns and the Second Amendment meaning.
Each person has their own idea of what our founding fathers meant when they put this in our constitution. Some people use guns as a hunting sport or for food. But then there are the ones who want to cause harm to each other. I still remember the morning of December 11, 2012. The day the Clackamas Town Center shooting occurred. A man entered a busy mall, killed 2 people and seriously injured another. He ended up shooting himself after causing all that fear and pain to the shoppers. My family and I had planned to visit the mall that day to take my relatives who came to visit from California, but we overslept. We heard the news on the radio on our way there and we turned around knowing we could have been there. The culprit stole an AR-15 from
In today’s society, there is plenty to talk about. Whether it be about the President, the weather change, there is always something to talk about. One of the major issues that has been talked about for an extended period of time is gun control and the issues that follow it. There are two specific articles that were chosen today; one of which from the Chicago Sun Times website, and the other from the New York Times.
Gun control is one of the most controversial issues talked about in today’s society. Some people believe that if we take guns away from civilians then there will be less violence in the county. Others think that it is our right to bear arms. President Obama is trying to pass laws to enforce stricter gun laws, because he believes that one of the biggest problems in American is that too many people are able to have guns.
There have been many times where people in stores, at house and even in the streets have done self protection with the usage of guns. 9 out of 10 times a criminal is going to flee the place if he or she notices that person with a gun. A victim of rape, Kimberly Corban, ask Obama in a press conference of how she is suppose to protect herself and her children if another accident happens. Another example of how owning firearms are a key part of self protection is how they can can scare people off that put you in danger. A man from Texas, James Gerow, woke up hearing an intruder in his house. He quickly walked out of his room noticing a man wearing a dark hoodie how shouldnt have been in his house. James grabbed his gun and chased the man outside where the cops have arrived and took the criminal to the nearest prison available. Therefore, many people use guns to protect themselves. James used the gun for self protection and he did not shoot at the intruder. This means if the usage of guns is taken away from the people that live in the United States how are they suppose to protect
About sixty percent of people in the U.S own guns, the estimated number of guns legally owned by civilians is 270,000,000 to 310,000,000 (FBI), and that’s not counting all the illegally owned firearms. When asked why they need guns, most Americans say that its part of their rights and amendments, to protect themselves and their family. If most people with guns just want to protect themselves, why do so many people die every year from gun violence? The answer is all the illegal firearms that land in the hands of criminals and psychopaths.
Lately all the talk these days is guns. It is not about owning them, but more so controlling them; sometimes even removing them through programs, such as President Obama’s “Buyback program.” This program is a trade in program, as in if you trade in your gun for money. This is because of the recent mass shootings. Instead of gun control we should be looking for a solution. We do not need more gun control because we have the right to bear arms. We should be heavily enforcing the laws we currently have because "guns don't kill people, people kill people."
There was a horror and tragedy on Sunday , Oct. 1 mass shooting in Las Vegas. The shooting was dreadful because the shooting was at a concert. According to cbs news there is nearly one mass shooting per day. There needs to be more Gun control with gun control there would be less shootings around the world.
The need and want for gun control has been a big issue that has constantly been brought up do to the recent massacre in early October. On October 1st, 2017 at the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada a gunman named Stephen Paddock, opened fire on a crowd of concert goers at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival and ended up killing 58 people including himself and injuring over 500 more people. This has been the deadliest mass shooting In the United States in all of history. Due to the amount of damage that was done by one man and over 20 guns people are looking for gun control laws to be put into effect in hopes of preventing crimes like this from happening in the United States again.
