WEEK 3 PBL: ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR PLAN OSF Healthcare has incorporated a ONE OSF motivational platform to reform and encourage organizational behavior. In 2015, the iC2it Mission Integration was implemented. The iC2it integration tool is a performance based reward (McShane & Von Glinow 2015). The motivational program is designed to bring about a culture of expected behavior, to encourage focus recognition for co-workers who exceed the cultural expectations as well as allow constructive feedback for those who may not meet the goals set forth. The tools offered provide guidance for focus storytelling that can be shared to motivate others. The iC2it program is a motivational performance program that establishes cultural beliefs which will lead to key results in employee behavior (Marie 2015). Those cultural beliefs focused on are actions of: patient first, be one, align priorities, embrace decisions, be accountable, and live it. These beliefs will impact the desired key result of: workforce commitment, number of persons served, and cash flow. An observing employee, or employees who have been the recipient of another employee’s behavior displaying and living these cultural beliefs, can provide recognition to the employee exemplifying this action of this cultural belief and that action will have an effect on the key results. Western Health System noticed that many of its local clinic managers were leaving to join the competition. Their human resources director, Stephanie Anderson realized that they were losing a lot of talented people who had become demotivated, and she worked on developing a program to increase their motivation in hope that they would remain committed to Western Health System. Her program, Exploration, had many great features, but to truly asses the program one first has to understand motivation, motivational theories, and the current issues at hand.
1.1 Legislation is a set of laws that have been created by the government to make sure all childcare settings are run correctly. To promote positive behaviour, legislation’s such as the Children Act 1989, Human Rights Act 1998, Every Child Matters 2004, Equality Act 2010 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 are followed by the setting. These Act’s include rules and regulations that a setting is required to follow in order to promote positive behaviour.
The A-Team was forced to disband because from the very first tasking, there was conflict between the group members. The group never actually came together to complete their first tasking of defining roles. The arguments between the group members got so bad that one of their team members walked out for the group and threatened to quit the program.
This essay will compare and contrast two theories of behaviour management by Carl Rogers and BF Skinner and argue ways in which one of these theories could be implemented for a particular context and practice. Roger’s theory is based on a humanistic approach, while Skinner’s theory takes a behaviourist approach; each theory has both benefits and shortcomings. Their views form opposite ends of the learning spectrum. These theories will be examined as their respective works address the underlying issue of how children learn to behave.

The study of Organizational Behavior (OB) is related to individuals, group of people working together in teams. The study becomes more challenging when situational factors interact. No two individuals are likely to behave in the same manner in a particular work situation. It is the predictability of a manager about the expected behavior of an individual. There are no absolutes in human behavior. It is the human factor that is contributory to the productivity hence the study of human behavior is important. Great importance therefore must be attached to the study.
Setting up a simple system for motivating employees to higher levels of performance and achievement doesn't have to cost the company a fortune. The idea is to gamify productivity goals in a way that increases employee engagement and motivation.
Organizational Behavior Management (OBM) is a vital part of the success of a company. The employee’s thoughts and actions even considering culture are thoroughly analyzed. This idea allows managers to improve not only individual behavior but also group dynamic performances/interactions and workers safety. This theory is considered as a science of the behavior of each employee. The history of OBM started in the 1900’s, with the strong influence of Skinner and Watson. Scientific Behavior began in the workplace, following the applications of behavioral principles to instructional design. Frederick Taylor, another innovative manager was a huge supporter of the scientific method being presented and utilized. Three main areas of OBM application include: Performance Management, Behavioral Systems Analysis, and Behavior-Based Safety. Inside of each area, there are key points to consider. Some would be leadership, decision making, team building, motivation, and job satisfaction. In short, OBM is the study that reviews how organizational structures are an aftermath within companies.

Sharp HealthCare implemented different elements towards their approach for motivated employees. The key factors was the focus on purpose, worthwhile work, and making a difference in the workplace that led to patient satisfaction and improved outcomes (Burns, Bradley, & Weiner, 2011). Therefore, their approach was successful due to the positive results from the key factors. The only weaknesses in the sharp approach would be the retention of current employees instead of hiring new ones (Burns, Bradley, & Weiner, 2011).
