Welcome Week worked as a cohesive entity that helped new students with their transition into collegiate life. I as the Beadle was a peer mentor for the new students. This leadership opportunity entailed meeting with your group of 15 students outside of class on a weekly basis, planning social activities, accompanying students to required co-curricular events throughout the semester, and reporting to the Decurion and Faculty Advisor.

Starting school at UNH was a completely different experience. Most students, entering freshman year have never had to introduce themselves to hundreds of strangers. Throughout high school there was not one day that I was not a part of at least one activity or team, and that alone provided a level of comfort. The first
Needless to say freshman year has been a very formative year for me. One of the main ways I have developed over this year is growing as a leader in the capacities of; captain of the novice rowing team and delegate in leadership programs such as Shaw Leadership and the Undergraduate Government of Boston College. These roles have given me countless opportunities to explore leadership in a structured and nurturing way. Adjacent to the realm of leadership I have also spent freshman year developing real passions in the classroom in computer science and math.
It seems like yesterday I was just getting ready for my first day at the Early College. I was nervous and anxious at the same time wondering what being a part of the Edgecombe Early College High School was like. Little did I know that it would be a challenge.
As the Vice President of Leadership Bianca’s biggest project was College Completion week. She single handedly designed a music week that would be combined with our C4 week in order to attract a larger audience. Throughout this week students were encouraged to complete their college degrees while local artists from our community gained exposure by performing on our campus. The week of events proved to have a major impact on students and the guest who participated because many of them found the passion to pursue their goals and dreams.
As an intern, my first week was spent attending both the Principal-Leadership Conference and the Finance Conference led by the Anson County School’s Central Office. This time was spent absorbing and reflecting upon the large amounts of information being presented.
Dawn met with her supervisor Fran and was informed that there were not any policies in place at Day One in regards to the following: Self-disclosure by coworkers, Dual relationships, or accepting gifts from clients. She felt very surprised that there were no policies. However, this intern realizes she must use her common sense and not indulge in sharing her personal information, such as relationships, family, personal goals, hobbies, etc. with clients and/or coworkers involved with Day One.
Last Tuesday, June 14,2016, was the orientation for capstone project 1 wherein students were formed into groups and the
Please provide updated information regarding the aforementioned document. As you are aware, I have made attempts to obtain updated medical document for the child since the document submitted is outdated - February 2014. Justin's mother informed me that the child was seen by the Primary Care Physician at your facility sometime in March 2015.
The orientation weekend served many different purposes for the students in both Recreation Management and Therapeutic Recreation. The first purpose of the retreat was to help students gain a better understanding of recreation. Many people, including myself before this orientation, believe that recreation is solely sports. However, that fact is far from true as recreation encompasses many different aspects such as art, music, photography, knitting, and running. Once students understood the different aspects of recreation they were able to learn more about their programs. This was done through having older students interact with new students, and by having professionals speak to the new students. The professionals were in both the Recreation Management and Therapeutic Recreation fields. Since my program of study is Recreation Management, I got to hear all about that field. In the speeches I learned how to get involved in recreation early on, how important managing recreation is, and about the
First day moving into a new school. All the new and returning students were there. All of them getting removed in and hugging one another, reuniting from the long summer vacation, Miles is new to Culver Creek, and so far having no luck with introducing himself to anyone or making any conversation with any student. “ I vaguely hoped that someone would come up and talk to me. I imagined the conversation...That didn’t happen, of course. Things never happened like I imagined them” (8).So, instead he watches everyone else smile and walk around together. Up
Recently, Borough President James Oddo’s office reached out to the Chamber to ask for contacts in the St George/Bay Street area.
As part of an industry with generous profit margins and high barriers to entry, American th Greetings had spent decades in a comfortable position. Beginning at the turn of the 20 century, it had helped to create a mass market for the greeting card and had presided over its growth into a multi-billion-dollar industry. Because the manufacturing of cards—especially those with special designs or attachments—could be complex, and because customers were used to choosing from a large selection of cards, it was difficult for new players to offer the big, established card companies any serious competition.
