The Trade of Necessities
Unlike China or Russia who have more land than they could ever use, Europe had to look beyond their own borders for more land to allow their country and people to continue to grow. With intentions to originally find new ways to sail to India, Columbus stumbled into the Americas. Though Europe didn’t get the trade route they wanted, they found a new one that would change the world of trade by satisfying land need along with resources that were new to the world. Although the Europeans brought negative aspects to the new world, the Columbian exchange enabled the world population to flourish, by creating trade with newfound goods.
The discovery of the Americas was a huge accomplishment for Europe, it allowed Europe to continue to expand along with giving Europe the resources it need to catch up in world trade. Even though Europe's new land was an ocean away, they had the necessities to make it worth it.
Europeans advanced innovations in mapmaking, navigations, sailing, and ship design enabled them to efficiently travel back and forth to the new world. Along with their skills of sailing Europe also had states and trading companies enabling them to effectively mobilize humans and material resources. The new world presented the European people with many

The exchange of goods between Europe and the Americas was an incredible feat for the Europeans because it set them up with wealth and precious metals for the beginning of the industrial revolution which they would lead. Without the spread of newfound food throughout the world, the population growth would have slowed dramatically. The Columbian exchange developed societies in the the Americas that sparked another stage of globalization along with reshaping the world's economy providing needs to the
When dealing with the Columbian exchange, ecology became destiny. There were a lot of powerful environmental forces. You learn about the smallpox virus, about potatoes, and this pig. The political reasons for the Columbian exchange were dealing with gold and silver, even the animals. In America the Columbian exchange had issues because before conquest the American societies were being self-governed but then you the Europeans start to take control. The American society started to become dependent to Europe. Problems that took place with Europe during the Columbian exchange were when their populations started to grow very large. There was more food coming in like corn and potatoes. Families were able to have more kids the population doubled. They had slaves work to find gold and silver. Spain started to experience economic issues. During the Columbian exchange Africa population started to grow as well, well increase rapidly. It increased even though slavery was still going on. During this time Europeans were interested in a lot of the young men to become
The Columbian Exchange is one of the greatest exchanges in foods, animals, plants and diseases between Europe and the Americas. In 1492 Christopher Columbus came to America. He saw things he had never seen before so then he decided to take some of them with him to Europe. He started trading routes to initiated an interchange of plants between Eastern and Western, as a result it doubled the resources of the food crop on both sides.

The columbian exchange was the most helpful for the europeans (especially spain) because they gained new valuable supplies like gold and new crops that increased popluation tremedously. It also created money-based stimulation. Population increase led to establishing homes and having complete control over areas. Africa no longer had a hold on gold, their population staggered, communities became ghost towns and the Columbian Exchange marked the rise of the slave trade. The Americas got deadly diseases, and new orders enforced on them etc.
The Columbian Exchange brought diseases in the two countries and was also the forerunner for eliminating Native Americans in North America, but Europe acquired new ways to develop their economy further than what it already was. This discovery was what led to Europe's powers early on in the 1400’s. Europe's discoveries led to the modernization of cultures along with great societies such as the New World, which became the country it is today.
The Columbian Exchange took cultural diversities and made America. It introduced biological, economic and cultural impact with drastic consequences. It is considered too had changed years of evolution.
The Columbian exchange affected many regions all over the world. The Americas and Europe were similar in their changing population densities caused by diseases and goods. Also Europe and the Americas both benefited from the exchange of foreign crops and livestock across the Triangle trade routes. However, Europe and the Americas were different in their migration of peoples. The effects of the Columbian Exchange was similar in Europe and the Americas because of their changing population growth and the diffusion of goods to each country but differed in their expansion of territory.
1. The Columbian Exchange was when diseases, crops, cattle, and other aspects of life were transferred between the existing civilizations of the Western and Eastern hemispheres. This also brought new diseases to each location, killing natives as they were not immune to such illnesses due to lack of exposure. Population increased as new crops and animals increased the global food supply. Mercantilism resulted in increased colonialism due to the economic success of the Columbian Exchange.
The Columbian Exchange introduced many things into the New and Old World that changed their culture completely. Ireland is known for potatoes, but potatoes didn’t come from Ireland they came from the New World. Also, horses are one of the symbols of Native Americans, though horses were one of the domesticated animals brought to the New World. The New World eventually benefited from the European exploration to the New World with the introduction of crops, livestock, and European technology.
The Columbian Exchange was an exchange between Europe, the New World and Africa. People, animals, plants, goods, precious metals, and diseases were traded between these places. The Exchange positively affected Europe’s economy because they gained wealth from trade as well as precious metals, like silver and gold, that they obtained in the Americas. The economy of the Americas was also positively affected because of the income from plantations and mining. The Americas also gained wealth because with slavery and indentured servitude, the people doing the work either did not get paid or got paid very little. Africa’s economy may have gained some wealth because they were selling their own people into slavery. Politically the Columbian Exchange
The Columbian Exchange had a negative and positive impact on both the Europeans and the American Indians. With the exchange of foods, animals, plants, culture, and many other things these people were able to develop new ways of life on both sides of the world. The people throughout Europe were able to benefit from wheat, grain and rye. They had animals such as horses that were able to help them work, travel, and of course their meat was used for food.
On one hand Europeans found in the New World the solution for their problems. The abundance of naturals resources such as plants, fruits, vegetable and animals that they never know brought trade and cultural exchanges between Europe, Asia, and Africa. These positive effects increased the power that Europeans need to dominate and control the trade among other countries and colonize the new land. in addition, Europeans not only dominated the items exchange among others countries, but also they supply the need of workforce by slaving people from West Africa. On the other hand, Native American had some advantages
Another factor for the European expansion was the ability to establish a colony in the New world to supply the country with resources that were becoming scarce. This tactic allowed the countries to keep imports to a minimum and increase exports. This not only helped a countries economy but also strenghtened their standing ( Brinkley p. 25).
Europe wanted everything; the land, the respect, the money, the food; the list goes on, and if the world’s becoming connected, modern,or globalized is to be assigned to anyone, it would be to the Portuguese and Spanish. In all of their advances, they did connect the histories of individual places and places into one world history. Europe’s technological advancements and desire trade fueled the exploration that brought Columbus to the New World, or Da Gama around the Cape of Good Hope. With the support of consumers, European countries involved in global trade were the most successful in bringing the world together due to their desire to trade as well as the technological advancements that got them across them across the Atlantic.
These large continents offered not only more resources for trading, but also land for the taking. The trade route now had a whole new world to influence. The Europeans set out to make this land a reflection of their own beliefs and customs, while profiting from the land itself. These trade routes created a highway that for the first time really connected the people of the world.
