Even though Rosa is viewed as a hero and some a celebrity she still had her personal day to day life as a normal human being. She went to the 16t street baptist church every Sunday. She was a true believer in God and did everything she could to show god that she is truly a great person. As for Rosa Parks, she was an African American woman who wanted to make a change during segregation in Montgomery, Alabama in the 1950’s and 1960’s. She wanted everyone to be happy, do as they please, and what they were destined to do. Rosa Parks family knew the dangers and risk of fighting for segregation would bring. They were concerned for her safety. Rosa Parks knew the risks as well, but she still went out to fight for this injustice against African Americans. She could’ve had just given up and became another victim to the segregation and Jim Crow laws, but instead, she took the route of courage and heroism to fight for the rights of African Americans. Rosa Parks boarded a bus after a long day of work at the local department store and paid the white bus driver her regular fare. The bus was full, as it normally was at this time of day, and Rosa took her seat at the front of the black section of the bus (Sanders, 2006, p. 3).
