What Did You Do Before You Came To TRC To Study Health & Social Care?
Before I started TRC I studied and completed my GCSE’s at Oakwood High School; the subjects I studied at Oakwood included triple science, graphics, psychology and art. I especially enjoyed art the most, I enjoyed drawing and creating new pieces of work and also found drawing very relaxing and therapeutic to do. Another one of my favourite subjects to study was psychology as I learnt a lot of new interesting things about the human brain such as how the memory works, and about human behaviour. Another subject I enjoyed was science, particularly in which chemistry. My favourite part was the practical work which was generally mixing and combining different elements together

I know I would enjoy these types of jobs as I find them very interesting to learn and know about and because they are jobs that I have always been interested in from an early age. I also like the idea of being able to help someone for the better and even saving their life. To help me get into one of the jobs in these professions I chose psychology a-level, and health and social care level 3 at college. These subjects will hopefully get me into university and a job that I am wanting to go into.
Current Skills You Can Use In Health & Social Care:
I can confidently work under pressure and finish my work to the best of my ability and on time. I have good time management skills and know to always be on time so I don’t miss out on any key opportunities or work that may be important or efficient. I am a creative person so I am quite good at making and listing ideas for things. I am good at being able to adapt and change to fit my environment or work. I am also good at making the right and appropriate decisions for things that tend to work a lot/most of the time. All these skills are important in a health and social care environment and setting as they show that I can be on time for anything and that I am good at making the correct decisions for myself and that I am also confident and trust myself, so others can also trust me.
Current Self-Awareness:
I am aware that I need to work to the best of my ability
Ron Padgett, the author of Creative Reading, recalls how he learned to read and write as though these things happened yesterday. Like Padgett, I tried recalling my reading and writing history.
This year I have learned a lot from College Writing, this class has taught me a lot about my own writing and what makes a good essay. I have learned a lot about myself as a writer and as a person throughout the course. In this reflection of the past semester I will be going through my past papers and talk about what I liked and how I could’ve made them better. I will also be going through the activities that have shaped my writing the most. Hopefully, I will be representing how I have grown as a writer throughout the year because of this class. Before taking this class I was already relatively confident in my writing abilities and was excited to take the class. Now that the course is completed I am even more confident in my writing because of all the new techniques and helpful tips I learned.
One of my strengths is that I have a multi medical experience background. I have the capability to work the floor which means I can do patient care as well as watch the monitors. The drawback is that when I am watching the monitors I am incapable of getting up and walking away from them for long periods of time making it impossible to do patient care of floor nature. It was very difficult when starting the job not to get up and answer a light that was going off. When the group is shorthanded I have to watch them struggle while I have the capability to help them. It can cause tension within a group when they know a person is fully capable of
I picked Occupational Therapy as a career because I find it pleasing to help other people and it’s a great way to interact with patients. This career requires quite the creativity which I find it worthy since I believe I have plenty of it. I have experience with physical exercises and I would like to teach patients with disabilities or illnesses that through simple exercises I could help them recover their abilities once again and reintegrate them with social activities. I personally prefer geriatric. Working with the elderly would be an amazing experience because I would love to interact with them and as I do what I mostly like I can listen and learn from their stories. One special reason as to why I would like to work with the elderly is because I feel that I could be that person that regains back someone’s confidence and to see them being able to do their everyday routine due to ageing.
Often people living with DID are depressed or even suicidal and self-mutilation is common in this group. Approximately one-third of individuals affected complain of auditory or visual hallucinations. DID is a serious mental illness that occurs across all ethnic groups and all income levels. It affects women nine times more than men. Another good skill to have is the ability to solve problems in the best way possible. Having knowledge of medical terminology, the laws and public safety is important also. People in this line of business will do well because they are known for leadership and decision making. We are very dependable, adapt well and take initiative in stressful situations. Also going into this career would help throughout life because you'll learn how people act and why they do. And I also want to go into this field because if I can help people everyday or try to help I would be fine with that, I like to help people to the best of my abilities. And psychology would be a good field for me to go into because almost everybody could use a psychology so I’ll be helping people and for me that would be awesome. Most people would rather not deal with people and I can understand why, people get annoying but if you deal with them everyday you learn how people act and why and that's amazing in my eyes.
How important was Lenin in enabling the communist government to survive war and rebellion in the years 1918-1922.
Since starting my apprenticeship, I feel I have further improved these qualities through motivational interviewing, having daily one on one experiences with different clients and working as a part of a healthcare team. I have learnt from the many health checks I have carried out how to communicate both good and bad news and advice to many kinds of personalities as well as helped me to realise the many ways that people can resist or accept change. Meeting many new people and hearing their stories has sparked my interest into the many types of illness and disease; evolving a curiosity as to why and how these types of chronic or acute illness occur and how people deal with them on a daily
Helping people is something that comes naturally to me. Also, I enjoy working with people, solving their problems, and helping them achieve their goals. Moreover, my career as a pre-school teacher for the past fifteen years has shown me how passionate I am about caring for others and what a sense of purpose and accomplishment I feel when I have made a difference in the lives of those around me. I believe that the field of social work will provide me a better opportunity to apply my passionate desire to make an impact and meaningful difference to others in the community. Furthermore, becoming a social worker is a career where I believe that I can put my own personal experience to good use since I lived in an abusive family environment throughout my teenage years that frequently involved the intervention of social workers—some who cared deeply and others who only saw it as a job they needed to complete. That experience gave me insight and understanding into how social workers
What Personal strengths do you possess that will be useful to you as a Social Worker? What are your limitations/weaknesses? How do you plan to improve in these
I have worked both with the elderly and children and I would love to work with different populations. I love this profession because it has so many fields that I can go into to help people. When I complete my masters I would like to work with the elderly population. I have worked in a nursing home for a long time and I like the environment. I feel a strong need to help the older population because I feel like a lot of people have forgotten about them. When people think of social workers they just think of people helping children every population need help, especially the older

I worked in a multi-disciplinary team both within the hospital and in the community, which included working with health visitors, midwifes and occupational therapist.
