“Get the fundamentals down and the level of everything you do will rise” – Michael Jordan. You don’t need a lot for basketball. However, you would need a basketball because you won’t actually be helping yourself., Also you need a gym or place to play at. Lots of water would come in handy because if you work hard enough you will be thirsty., You may want to bring cones for practice so you can set up drills.. Also for clothing you are gonna want to wear a short sleeve shirt, shorts, and basketball type shoes so you brake or roll your ankles. Basketball is a hard working but easy sport to learn, so the harder you work you better you’ll get. “I don’t know if I practiced more than anybody, but I sure practiced enough. I still wonder if somebody
As a way of showing my thanks for baseball and all the other blessings in my life. I am throwing a big party for what I am thankful for. My theme is sports and music. I picked this theme because I am really thankful for my sports ability and I love listening to music. We have a D.J. that takes your requests for music and plays them, we also have a disco ball. Outside there is a pool for people who swim for a sport. We will have sports streamers with Beer for adults and soda and water for kids. We will also have a cake for every sport.
Basketball has been more than just a game in my life, it has always been a big part of my life, but it has been a part differently than what it is to others. I love everything about basketball. I have done everything from keeping the official book for a men's and women's collegiate team to washing a high school team's practice clothes and even making sure everyone has their uniforms and shoes before leaving for an away game. You don't have to be on the court, you don't have to be the one taking the winning shot or calling the play to be part of the team. I want you to think about this instead of feeling sorry for yourself because you didn't make the cut. I hope by the time you finish reading this you will realize
Which is very similar to many sports these days. In basketball there’s gloves, resistant bands, cones, and much more equipments that help you bring your game to the next level. Just like how you need the right gear for your “sport” you’ll need equipments that’ll make you more skilled in whatever game you’re trying to surpass
“Remember this morning when I said I couldn't play that well and I've been practicing since I was 10”
Usually people have a place where they can go and call it their second “home”. That second home will allow yourself to be free from any problems in your life. For myself, that place is the school’s basketball gym. As soon as I step foot into the gym, most of my worries go away. I only allow myself to worry or think about ways on how I can become a better player than yesterday. I don’t talk very much, nor do I talk very loud. Except, when I’m on the court I’m a completely different person.
I have played sports my whole life. I specifically like basketball though. When I was in 8th grade, I tried out for a basketball team. I ended up not making the team, this woke me up. I realized if I wanted to play competitive basketball for a long time, I knew I had to get down to business because high school was just around the corner. I signed up for several camps, and worked really hard on my game the whole summer and before the tryout. Then tryout came around, and I was so nervous. On the 2nd tryout day, I was chasing someone down the court. When he went up I ended up blocking it, and while I was in the air, he tried to kick me. He missed and got under my foot. My foot opened up, and I had a sprained foot. I was so mad, I didn’t want
When watching basketball I lose all sense of time, before I know it my eyes are drooping with tiredness and the sun has already set. The game captivates my very being, the level of skill and work needed to master the sport astonishes me as well as the amount of discipline and knowledge these players have to know what do in certain situations. It’s a challenging activity making it all the more appealing to me. As a matter fact, I’ve been influenced heavily by my brothers and peers as well, growing up around them all I ever heard them talk about was basketball. Whether it was their favorite player or the best team in the league it didn’t matter, it was always basketball. It made me very curious to know what all the fuss was about. Soon I was

The most spontaneous thing that I have done is just playing basketball. Basketball is spontaneous to me because I just wanted to start playing the game. Therefore, my 8th grade year I played basketball for my school team and I wasn't really feeling basketball. Summer of freshman year I played summer league for L.H.S and I felt a burst of energy for the sport. After, a couple of games one of my teammates wanted me to go to their house. Little did I know I was going to get extra practice for the sport.
Basketball is one of many things that make me a american but it is most important to me. First, basketball has no restrictions to who plays. Secondly, it's a game that defines american history. Lastly, basketball is the sport which gave many opportunities to lots and lots of people. Now, let's get into the reasons.
There is a significant difference between loving to play the game of basketball and loving the game of basketball. Don’t get me wrong, I live for the rush you get after winning a hard fought game, but true love for the game goes well beyond the court. As my unavoidable final year in high school begins, it is hard to not look back on my basketball journey and see how my love for the game, and all that I have learned from it, is what makes me who I am today.
The hobby that benefits me is basketball. I have played basketball ever since I was in 1st grade. Basketball is a great sport if people like competition. As a kid I would play basketball with my friends and not think twice on how great of a sport it was. The feeling of the ripples of the basketball on your hand as it leaves your fingertip and travels through the air making a faint sound can only be matched by the sound the net makes once the ball flows in. The sport of basketball has had a great impact on Americans for years. Not only is the sport amazing to watch and play but it has numerous benefits to the people that choose to play it.
It helps me to build up my personalities, my self confidence, and also my body. Every time that I played basketball, it feels like I’m being myself. It feels like I am good for something that I have a purpose on this world. Basketball also helps me to socialize. When you’re playing you are not just playing for yourself, but for your team.
There have been several events that have affected my life. there's times that life will hit you hard that will make you fall over but you will need to get back up and continue what you started. This is how i viewed myself with my ambitious journey of basketball. I was around seven years old when I was bored at home and I turned on the TV and was skipping through the channels and I wanted to see what I was going to be able to watch. I stopped at the sports channel for whatever reason and I remember that it was a Spurs game in the NBA (National Basketball Association). I was in shock seeing people jump all around being able to run from the court coast to coast being chased down by others trying to get the ball through the basket. I saw this particular player at the time on the opposing team Ray Allen from the Boston Celtics. This man had such a dominant presence on the court just getting the ball and being able to shoot the ball in any given time in whatever position he was in either it was going to be contested or open he gets the ball its an automatic scoring machine. This got me very fascinated and i began to start watching basketball since that day. I also wanted to try basketball wanted to play the position Ray allen played a shooting guard, one that is a spot up shooter and is in charge to score from a convertible distance away.
