9. What does courage mean to you? Explain your definition and provide examples.
To me courage means having strength and doesn't fear anything. You have courage if you are brave. If you have courage you don't fear anything. Facing challenges is courage. An example of courage is military people, who are fighting for the country. Another example of courage is facing your fear and standing up for yourself. Courage is also defending others. Being brave in scary situations is courageous.

10. What qualities define a good leader? What does it take to display good leadership? Discuss a few good leaders that you feel illustrate these traits.
A good leader is a person who is honest and has a good character. A good leader has confidence in themselves and can stand up to anything. Good leader has to have courage they have to have strength. To display a good leader a person must have responsibility and always being honest. My dad is a good leader he is always confident and always honest. He has a lot of strength and takes responsibility. Another example of a good leader is Kobe Bryant. He always has confidence in himself. He is always honest and take a lot of responsibility.

Being loyal is when a person is by your side and shows a lot of support to you. They have to be by your side no matter what. A loyal person cannot leave you. A loyal person is always honest. Also a loyal person is always trustworthy. My friends are loyal they never leave me. They are always on my side. Also they are always honest. Also they are trustworthy to me.
Leadership, as you should know is a very important role in society. Without it all of society and everyone in it would probably crumble. No more inspirations, abolitionists, presidents, or really anything. There can be good leaders, malicious leaders, greedy leaders, and even inspiring leaders. With that being said, you can also be loyal to a person. In the short story “The Life You Save May Be Your Own” by Flannery O’Connor, Ms. Carter is loyal to her daughter, Lucynell, in terms of making sure Lucynell had someone that would take care of her when she passes.

What does it mean to be courageous? Merriam-Webster defines courage as; “mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.” This defines being courageous as being able to stand up to what frightens you.
Loyalty is a strong and great word. It means to give or show constant support or allegiance to a person or institution. Are you loyal? Tomi and his friends are very loyal to each other by being by each other’s side whenever they are needed. Tomi is very loyal to his friends by helping them whenever he is needed and his friends are loyal by helping him whenever they are needed.
Loyalty is like a shadow it’s something that’s with you all of the time, but sometimes it’s hidden. Most people don’t show their loyalty hidden, but loyalty is something that’s not supposed to be hidden .To me loyalty is when someone is there for someone else. Loyalty is a characteristic many people should strive to have; it earns the trust and respect of many. A loyal person would never be able to fail someone because they are trustable. Loyalty is everywhere and there are many different kinds of loyalty.
Courage is a necessity to overcome fears and achieve a desired goal. Fear is something that exists in all of us. There is no hero or any particular courageous figure that is without fear. Being fearless is not required to be courageous, one simply has to look past or overcome their fears to possess this great quality. In Elizabethan England, loyalty was believed to be the ultimate test of a gentleman's character, that only those who passed this test could be considered the perfect Elizabethan gentleman. Shakespeare believed this too. In, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, loyalty is a very prevalent theme throughout the comedy.
