The first symbol represents my passion for fitness and developing a better body through the hard work and dedication. It represents my all going drive to want to help others change and reach their potential, that truly is my dream and goal. Change lives one by one, one training session at a time and be able to hit a global reach to people across the world. One day I will be able to make a global impact on people to want to change their lives physically and mentally and I will fulfil that task simply because of my passion for it.
The second symbol describes my challenges with math. Math to me has always been a challenge since elementary school and I still continue to struggle with till this day. It is something my mind has never really been able to fully grasp like the other subjects in life, it truly is a real complexity to my mind. Like all challenges, I never back down from it, I just learn to overcome and

The relationship me and God has, is something that can't be replaced, destroyed, or forgotten. God has done a lot for me and the people I place near and dear to my heart, he protects us, give us things other may not have, and always makes sure we are under his mercy. The saying is “With God I can do all things” it's a lot of truth to that because putting all of your faith in him, he will lead you through the darkest of times and give you the brightest future.
The fourth and last symbol are my glasses that are very much part of my identity. I have had glasses since mid third grade, early fourth, until present day. They help me see better and help me have a sense of clear vision. The glasses have added to my looks as well because, I feel that if I was to not wear glasses I wouldn't look the same simply because they've become a part of me. Glasses has done wonders for my eyesight and I recommend anybody that has trouble seeing pick up a pair because they truly are something needed for good eyes, and good eye
Symbols in literary works can express an idea, clarify meaning, or enlarge literal meaning. Symbols can appear in a novel as an event, action, or object. In Their Eyes Were Watching God, the author, Zora Neale Hurston, uses the symbols of the gate to show Janie’s transitions to womanhood, independence from oppression, and realization of what love is to Janie.
Meaning of Symbols Symbols can represent meaning or what the poem is about. Symbols can be small ideas or objects but contain a big meaning depending on what you want to represent with a symbol. In the poem titled “Oranges” by Gary Soto the poet uses the chocolate candy bar as a symbol to represent unhappiness. In another poem titled “Same Song” by Pat Mora the poet uses the mirror as a symbol to represent sadness. The meaning of these symbols is similar because both symbols represent something that they can not have.
The second symbol is the weight/anchor tied around Hale's neck. This signifies the guilt he feels once John refuses to confess and is hanged for witchcraft. Hale was mostly responsible for Elizabeth and John’s arrest in being unable to persuade the court from believing Abby’s lies. An example of his guilt is found on page
I had an experience that each represents the symbol towards the Allegory of the Cave. My childhood was mostly in Jamaica where I lived with my father for two to three years. I can relate to the symbols from the "Allegory of the Cave".
My symbols are flowers, plants, and gardens. Flowers symbolize beauty, youth, strength, and gentleness (Melani 1). Gardens symbolize growth, feminine, protection, and miracles (Fraim). Plants symbolize life, afterlife, strength, and stability (Lipson).
Each symbol is used to build a way of foreshadowing the journey from the once overruled society of technology and the lack of independent thought to the rebirth and reflection into a positive human-focused society. There are numerous symbols used in this novel, some tie into each other as well.
If a picture is worth a thousand words then a symbol is worth a thousand pictures.
The first symbol that represents me is the basketball. Basketball has been a big part of my life since I was about 8 years old. The game of basketball is just passion that I grew up just loving since the first day I step on the court. The sport was a stress reliever that let me escape every time it came to playing during games or the long practices. It's a distraction that helped me through hard times. I love the competitiveness in the game, I love the rush it gives you once you're defending a person, and you're giving all your energy , more to protect your basket and trying to get the ball in your hands. Without playing basketball my life would kinda be boring.
The first symbol is the Marlin, and it represents a goal, for me beating my friend in basketball was a goal of mine that I was able to achieve. Basketball is a sport that many people play; however, even though a lot of people say winning is not always important, most of the time it is when it comes to this game. In basketball, there’s a game known as one on one which is when one player vs another player and it is not team based. Brian had decided to challenge me to a game versus each other. It started out smoothly for me but I ended up losing in the end. This example of me losing in one on one is referring to the novel when the audience is told that Santiago has not caught any fish for 84 days, evident when Manolin states “But remember how you went eighty-seven days and then we caught big
mountain, but the hardest part about symbols is deciphering them. Thomas Foster in his book states “Here’s the problem with symbols: people expect them to mean something. Not just any something, but one something in particular. Just one meaning…but most don’t. Most have a range,
A symbol is an object that represents an idea. One symbol throughout the book is the red balloon. This is a symbol because it shows that Bobby and Nia are coming of age because the color red usually represents love and anger. Coming of age means to grow up or mature in your life. Bobby and Nia had to mature since Nia is pregnant. On page 6, Bobby said, "Then she handed me the balloon." This is important because it shows how Nia broke the news that she was pregnant to Bobby.
The second picture on the top row represents my belief in marriage. This symbolizes becoming one.
Symbols are determined by the reader. The writer does not just have one set meaning for a symbol. A readers depiction of symbols are based on their own personal experiences.
Such symbols include hands to represent labour, cards to signify chance and taking a risk, and finally, rabbits to suggest ideas about achieving one’s hopes and dreams. Symbols are a key central device in delivering meaning, as they consistently repeated throughout the narrative and are typically associated with the novella’s many characters.
One notices that all of these symbols are from times nearing the end (or at the end) of Jesus' life. (Think of a point to do with this).
