What does school mean to you? School for many people is just for friends to see each other because that's the only way they can talk or others actually go there for their education. The main reason why others go is because they have to, it’s the law. If students don’t get out of bed and attend school they will be in big trouble. For those students who don’t want to go why do they have to? If it’s their choice not to go or to go why would we have to force them?
It’s different for the people who do want an education and go and for the other students who don’t but still have to go. The ones who attend just because it’s the law are just sitting there wasting their time and others. I think the ones who do want to go won’t care because therye just
Schools are a place where people come to learn things that will help them in the future. They have changed what school really
Education and school. Some of you are now grimacing at the prospect of being trapped inside a classroom. Others are now thinking what I wouldn’t do to be able to go back and start all over again. Now don’t worry, I’m not going to convince you that you should love school. My job isn’t to change your perspective on school like a politician would do.
In the article, “Against School”, John Taylor Gatto, describes the disadvantages of the public school system by describing how boring and repetitive it is. The only question that comes to my mind after reading his article is do we really need to go to school? Monday through Friday, we wake up at 7 o'clock, get ready and go to school. We stay there for at least 5 hours. Always looking forward to Friday and summer breaks because that means no school, and always looking forward for the weekend.
Now, once again for the question, what does school mean to you? Is it about what you learn or what you do? School is becoming more and more clueless every year due to the non-academic events. Woodlynde needs field tips that actually teach students and we need them now! Woodlynde also doesn’t need the any of the activities held here in school. They are not necessary for anything but amusement. Woodlynde needs to think about what its real goal is. Let’s bring the meaning of school back to the
For many students, going to school is more than just a part of the daily routine. A lot of students see their role in school as an importance to their life, but as well to their future success. Many of us have gotten told by parents or teacher that school is an important
Is school boring? Do you feel like you won’t learn anything for the future? I think kids need to learn life skills and learn how to survive alone. That’s why I think these three innovations would be perfect. The three innovations for Maize South Middle School would be a swimming pool, a greenhouse, and a survival program.
School is very important to me. I believe everyone has a right to gain an education. Of course the best place to do so is in school. At the present time it seems America’s youth has been placed into a category where they are no longer seen as a bright future that our nation as was considered in the past.Since the past few years American students scores and been falling and there is no clear reason why. Benjamin Barber’s “America Skips School” and E.D. Hirsch’s “Why America’s Universities Are Better than Its Schools” are both articles that address the issue of American students falling behind in scholastic accomplishment. Both authors agree that American schools need reform.
A successful transition to school involves children, families, early childhood and school professionals to build strong, positive, collaborative and supportive relationships through regular and meaningful exchange of information of different perspectives from various stakeholders. During the preschool to primary school transition, children potentially will encounter physical, social and pedagogical discontinuities in their experiences of starting school. Although the transition practices exercised in the school sought to nurture and maintain relationships among key stakeholders, the management team and other members of staff need to work further to establish practices which assess and address the needs of individual children more accurately.
As a native of Massachusetts, I never cared much about school. And with parents that didn’t care if I went to school either, I just didn’t take the time to go. I mean, why would I sit in school and listen to a teacher rambling on about some useless information. This got me into trouble at a young age. I started to pick up the profession of theft. This got me into prisons all over New England. As you can image, it wasn’t too good of a life growing up.
Most students go to school to learn to better their knowledge and find a career that suits them. Some students go to school because they are forced to go. Author John Holt wrote, "School is Bad for Children" and argues that school takes away the curiosity that children have about life and that children should be allowed to do whatever interests them, instead of going to school to "accept the adults' evaluation" (Holt 79). Holt begins suggesting that students should be able to make the decision if they want to go and "give them a chance to learn about the world at first hand" (Holt 81).
A school is a place where people should be able to go to for a quality education. Find their clique or friend group that makes them feel accepted. A school can also act as a place where someone meets their high school sweetheart. Most of all, school is there to prepare students for the next few steps in life after they graduate. In reality, the following generations are having to handle intensifying conditions within their schools. One major arrangement would be the shift in who does the disciplining. The Security Resource Officers, or SRO's, are now the faces of discipline. Students get arrested for minor incidents such as; talking back or having side conversations. Instead of talking to a teacher, or seeing the school counselor, they get reprimanded by the law.
The main purpose of the essay is the importance of education, is college necessary for success in our society, finally the cost of being well educated. College is an expensive undertaking and if you need to take loans to do. I do think a college degree is beneficial, can be right moves for a personally, professionally reason. However I don’t think it’s something we should force on someone; they have no clue what they want. A college learning can definitely help more than can hurt. College learning is not right choice for everyone, as many students graduate with large amount debts and limited job
A place that affected my life? The place that influenced me was school, why? Well the principal reason was driving to class in view of all the driving I needed to get the chance to class it would squander a considerable measure of gas driving forward and backward to class particularly that I was there throughout the day, the other was getting up each morning to go to class it was tiring driving to class however over that I was getting up each morning to go to class particularly that I would school from the morning the distance tell night which made me extremely worn out which killed me.
School should not start early. All schools should start at least twenty-five minutes after eight. If teenagers get more sleep then they will make better choices. Especially kids who do not get a lot of sleep usually make not so great choices. So, with more sleep students will do better in school and more sleep will probably help the students and teachers out a lot.
Students may not like going to school but, it is for the best. By going to school students can get an education and get a job or go to college and
