I have striven all four years of high school to achieve the best possible grades. As a result, I have a 4.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and I am in the top 5 of my class. My highest SAT reading/writing score is a 760, and my highest math score is a 740. My highest composite ACT score is 28, with my highest subscores being a 30 in math, a 30 in English, a 28 in science, and a 27 in reading. I am always working to improve myself and my community. I may not be a part of every organization in school, but I focus my energy on the organizations I am in. I am in TSA, Technology Student Association, a club centered around technology and engineering. We help other clubs with technical aspects of their projects and teach others about technology. I am also
Outside of school, I am also active in my community. I am involved in many activities. For my church; Spring Baptist Klein Campus; I have been involved as a volunteer at Vacation Bible School for 2 years. I have volunteered for crafts both years because I like to be around children of
I have been in a few school activities. One of the main activities that I have been involved in is Color guard. Since my sophomore year, I have been on the guard and participating in all of the competitions with the band. It is a great way to get involved, make new friends, and create new experiences. I am also in my school’s National Honor Society which is an organization that consists of the top academic scholars. We do volunteer work and do activities that display integrity. We have done blood drives as well as packaged food for Kids Against Hunger. That is another organization that people can do to help package food for children across seas that don’t have any source of nourishment. I am an active thespian which is a group of sorts that is dedicated to the fine arts. I have been one since my freshmen year and have been either stage manager or assistant stage manager for two plays and three musicals. My junior year as well as this year I was involved in National
As of grades and academic achievements, I’ve maintained a 3.96 grade point average all year long and expect to keep and/or raise my GPA by the time I graduate. I’ve proven to my teachers, family, and myself that I can do anything that I set my mind to, like maintaining a high GPA or being on high honor roll for three years. I’ve also been awarded the Presidential Education Award three times for my hard work. I have participated in honors classes ever since elementary
From the start of high school, I have driven myself to be successful. Not only to make my parents proud and get recognition from colleges, but also as goal for myself. During freshman year I was awarded the Golden Hark Award for demonstrating positive leadership skills. Additionally, I have gotten the highest honor roll every semester of high school, and currently have a 4.021 cumulative GPA. Throughout my high school years
So far this year, I have joined five clubs/ organizations and I find it to be extremely rewarding. I have not been able to be a part of many after school activities in past years because I was focused on keeping my grades up in Governor’s School, but now I have much more time to dedicate to other areas.
Most of my free time is spent involving myself within my community. I volunteer at Celerity Dyad Charter School, St. Odilia School, church youth group, and cleaning my community. I enjoy helping out since I know I’m improving my community. These experiences have helped me develop skills of interacting with people from different cultures. I also involve myself at school with Cooking club, Delta club, Spanish club, Dance team, Folklorico team, National Honor Society, and Bachata team. I will continue being an involved person because I get to experience different places and people.
As of now, my role in my community has been being an active and diligent student. These characteristics are evident in how I occupy myself with school sports such as badminton and soccer, and engage in other club activities while still keeping my grades up by putting in hours
Throughout my schooling, I have worked to great lengths to maintain a GPA that exceeds 3.75 and qualifies me for the National Honors Society. My performance in school is my priority
I currently have a 3.68, that is good, but I plan to raise that to closer to a 4 by the end of my high school career. I spend around 20 hours weekly studying, preparing, and rereading material in an effort to keep my grades up.
Throughout my life, I have worked hard to do well in school and get good grades. I am proud with what I have achieved, but I am still driven to try and do better. As of right now, I have a cumulative GPA of 3.98. I try to get decent grades not only to please my parents and teachers but to please myself and the colleges I plan on applying to next school year.
Ever since I started school, I had always wanted to be involved in the community in some way whether it be at school, home, or in my town. To help the benefit of others and learn more about responsibility, I try to volunteer as much as I can. I volunteer throughout the year for The National Wild Turkey Federation (which I became a committee member of), and for Feed My Starving Children. Volunteering for the Archery Club and different volleyball clinics are also activities I enjoy. Volunteering is a passion of mine because it is a way that I can help others and give back to my community.
Education and learning has been something that has fascinated me from an early age. This fascination has encouraged me to strive for the best. Throughout high school, I have managed to maintain a 3.5 GPA while participating in extracurricular activities and organizations such as Lewisville High School’s JV Dance/Drill Team, Varsity Theatre, Speech/Debate, National Honor Society, and Student Council. Along with my school involvement I have been working part-time at Chick Fil A for two years.
The final mast of school and community involvement was catalyzed when I joined Key Club as a freshman. Finding a passion for service and leadership, it rapidly became my primary focus in deepening my high school experience. Key Club inspired me to search for further opportunities for leadership and involvement, leading me to join Student Council, Relay for Life, and so forth. Through my various executive positions, I have not only improved my own character and qualities, but also inspired others around me to do the
Among the organizations and clubs at Joliet Junior College, the Natural Sciences Club and JJC's Honors Program are the ones that I am involved in. For the Natural Sciences Club, I participate by attending meetings and going on scientific field trips with the club. My participation with JJC's Honors Program is mostly through attending the program's forums. Outside of school, I help out at my local Assemblies of God church in Joliet. Currently, I am volunteering as an assistant choreographer to a dance crew from Joliet First Assembly's youth group.
Overall, I feel quite pleased with my current grade situation. Everyone always feels that assurance they can try harder. I feel I can attempt more than the average student and do better in my classes than I already attempt to achieve. Academics comes somewhat easy for me, but I know I can put more effort into a few selected classes. My current grade point average is 3.8 and I supposed if I push a little harder for a 4.0. Currently, I obtain all A’s. The two classes I lack in are Spanish and Honors Geometry. Spanish does not come easy for me, obviously. Learning an entire new language at this is not easy, so a little extra effort is required. I have outstanding grades in my core classes, as well as percentages. I can use my current academic
