When someone asks you what your favorite food is and you are stuck because you can not decide because you have more than one favorite. This is just what it is like when you read stories as well. The reasoning for me saying that is because in every story there are many themes one can get out of it. This is like the story “Frankenstein” that is being read in Honors English too. It has many possible themes for it, yet the one theme of it or i believe fits it is revenge. When revenge is brought up in any conversation the outcome is typically people saying that revenge is not worth the outcome. It is also said that revenge is bittersweet, but usually has a ugly aftermath because it can be dangerous in its own ways. Within the story “Frankenstein” there are numerous examples of revenge and character getting revenge. The two main characters for me that was thought to get revenge was Victor and the creature.
Victor Frankenstein’s silence was responsible for the death of William, as well as the execution of Justine, the girl who was pinned for the murder that the monster committed. These deaths could have been easily prevented if Victor had taken authority and owned up to his horrendous mistake that went rampant. Initially, he should have not lost sight of the beast and fled from his apartment. This careless act left the monster with a sense of abandonment, which deeply affected it, thus causing it to lash out at innocent people. Victor could have also prevented Justine’s killing by stating that he witnessed the monster roaming the outskirts of town, and letting go of the possibility that he could be charged.
The idea of pursuing knowledge clouded Victor’s mind and when his creature is born he is shocked to discover that what he has created is far off his own expectations. Not only did the monster crush his expectations of developing a creature that went beyond human knowledge, but it also affected his life, dignity, and fears. Victor himself admits to his own mistake when he says, “The different accidents of life
Victor being excited about seeing his friend, invites him back to his apartment. Henry and Victor enter the apartment to find out that the monster had left, during this time the monster is going to learn things on his own. This by no means was going to be easy in ways of learning heat, cold, searching for food and much more. As the monster was learning on his own, he started stealing food from a old man. One day the old man had saw him searching for food, so the old man had panicked and ran away. This one scene connects to the characteristics by the town’s people are some what entitled to be scared of the monster. The monster now knowing how to do things, is on a warpath searching for Victor. Out from afar he had spotted a young girl, he sees her slips into a stream and it appears that she is on the verge of drowning. When the monster goes to rescue the young girl, the man accompanying her suspects he is attacking her. The man accompanying her shows that he feared the monster and it is in him to do something about it.
Victor's father hopes to take Victor's mind off of his grief by taking the family on a trip. One day while Victor is alone in the mountains, the monster appears to him, tells his story, and begs his creator to make him another creature as a mate. Victor refuses at first, but finally gives in, convinced by the monster's persuasive pleas. After his family returns home, Victor departs on a journey for England to gather information for his creation. He secludes himself on an island and works. One night, the monster appears at his window. Struck by the horrific consequences of his work, Victor destroys the new creation. The monster is enraged and vows that he will be with Victor on his wedding night.
the character that most inspire me from novel Frankenstein is victor why because he showed me that no one can become a good. For example, victor tough that when he created the monster he would do as victor told him to but victor was wrong when the monster was created he had the mind of a person he could take his own decisions. The monster hade some respect for victor but that ended when he started to make plans for his weding.so the book Frankenstein has inspired me to never tried to become a good because you may think it’s working but at the end you will fail.
In the past chapters the monster was described as scary, large, and of course it couldn’t speak. However, in this week’s reading the monster began to speak. The monster became a mysterious, emotional almost human being. As the monster began to talk and ask victor questions, he also began to explain to victor about his past. The monster asked victor if he could tell his side of the story. He then asks that he should be made a happy and submissive creature again.
Victor's accomplishments respond directly to acting on an impulse and not understanding the consequences. Victor was unaware of the back lash creating a monster would have on his family, friends, mental and physical health. The monster wonders why Victor chose to create such an atrocious life form and he resents Victor because of his repugnant physicallities and imperfections. The monster seeks revenge which leads to the death of Victor's brother William and the trial and execution of Justine Moritz. Victor learns the truth behind the loss of two loved ones but is unable to confess his

Sometime after Justine’s execution is the next time that Victor encounters the Monster and now it has learned how to speak and function with no help from his creator. During this encounter the monster demands a mate and reluctantly Victor obliges. He then isolates himself as he did before and begins construction on this female monster but, Victor’s destructive impulses and sudden realization of what could transpire with these two abominations, sets the stage for the final blows that the monster will unleash on Victor’s loved ones.
Monsters seem to be created in response to cultural fears. There are many examples of this in our culture in which monsters have been created to illustrate potential dangers. The creature that Victor creates is symbolic of the fears associated with scientific advancement. People worried then and still worry now about the repercussions of unfettered science. With science comes a need for containment and responsibility. The novel is a cautionary tale that warns against the dramatic cultural shift toward rationality. If morals and emotions are not considered, particularly in new scientific creations and discoveries, then it is likely that this advancement will have devastating and unpredictable consequences. Potential creators must be aware of what their pursuits could yield and must be will to claim ownership of their creations and discoveries, in whatever state they may turn out. The folly of Victor is in his rejection of the creature. Had he been more aware and more responsible, things may have turned out much differently. This idea of ownership and
Here we are at the end of the novel. Victor has just been released and is now traveling with his father in Paris. Once they return, they begin to plan the impending nuptials of Victor and Elizabeth. Victor is still worried about the threat the monster made about being with him on his wedding night, but he goes through with the wedding anyway without telling Elizabeth. Victor thought his own death would be the one to happen that night, but little did he know that Elizabeth would be the one to die at the hand of the monster. His father dies days after hearing this news, and the monster had finally succeeded in ripping away Victor’s social life. These deaths provoke Victor to spend the rest of his life searching for and destroying the monster.
