1. Beyond rankings, location, and athletics, why are you interested in attending Georgia Tech? (max 150 words) I want to major in engineering because I enjoy designing things. Georgia Tech could give me many opportunities to study in the field of engineering including internship and research opportunities that other colleges do not offer.
Furthermore, Georgia Tech has a plethora of clubs and groups to allow me to interact with those who have interests similar to mine. I enjoy playing chess (I founded a chess club at my high school) and I would be interested in participating in Georgia Tech’s chess club, too. When I visited Georgia Tech last summer, one of the engineering students took me around the campus. I liked the school environment
It feels like everyday I meet people who ask me what college I want to attend. I give them the usual list of colleges I wish to apply to, but when Hofstra University comes up, people ask me, “why do you want to apply to Hofstra University?” I say there are infinite reasons why I wish to go to Hofstra. The number one reason being that it is really close to home. Hofstra is an excellent school - one of the best schools in New York. Hofstra has over a 100 distinct majors and minors to choose from ranging from Biology to Engineering to American Studies. I plan to major in Biology, and Hofstra is the best for my major because it has resources to offer its students giving them hands on experiences. Being an AP student, I love to take arduous classes
Given my background, experiences, and personal identity, I will contribute diversity to Georgia College with my passion, strong determination, and my outgoing personality.
What I seek to gain from George Mason is the ability to forge my own path. To gain invaluable knowledge that will allow me to seek complete independence from my parents. The goal does not end with supporting just myself but my family, as well. I look to George Mason for its dedication to freedom, speech, and the Constitution. My parents have been nothing but the epitome of chains that bind a slave from becoming more when it comes to my social life. I look in hopes of growing not only academically, but socially in order to obtain balance. While the masses look to conform to trends and media, I look to George Mason to expose me to a diverse array of people and opinions to help shape my own.
The support around the university is phenomenal and has made the adjustment easier. The atmosphere of the school is unbelievable and still surprises me today with all it can offer. I am part of the biggest freshman class Virginia Tech as ever had and I am truly honored to be part of something so monumental. I am overwhelmed with the fact I get to call Virginia Tech my home for the next four years and truly make a difference around campus. My academic goals for the next four years are to make the dean’s list and keep at least a 3.5 GPA. I hope to succeed above and beyond in all my classes and stand out. My career goals are to work with Black Bears as a Wildlife Biologist or possibly a game warden, I hope to soon find the right path for my upcoming future. I aim to maybe add a minor in the upcoming year, however I am still debating. In the past, I was an active member in various organization and clubs like Future Farmers of America, DECA, Future Business Leaders of America, Community Service, and National Honor Society. I have volunteered multiple hours around my community at basketball tournaments, food pantry’s, blood drives, and company
Not only monetarily, but also mentally. Attending would certainly allow me to go to my dream school, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, while still being fiscally responsible. Additionally, it will allow me to go to almost any other university if I so desire. Eventually, it will allow me give back to the community and support other aspiring students. I am also positive that SC GSSM will help me mentally. With the low teacher to student ratio, the teachers positive attitudes will no doubt rub off on me. I also believe that the college style teaching environment will teach me responsibility and the value of planning. Attending GSSM would most certainly mold me into a mentally and mentally and fiscally mature citizen.
Overall, Texas A&M offers a great opportunity for me. Trying to get into this university alone will give me the opportunity to get better and try my hardest. I also love the fact that this school has a 20:1 student faculty ratio. I have always went to a small student faculty ratio school and I want to continue it. Last but not least, the computer science program is perfect for me. I can pursue my dream to have a job that is related with computer
I have always known that I wanted to attend a top-tier university. The other details came later; the small size, the proximity to an urban hub, and my major itself. For a while, I was convinced that it would not happen; that I just wouldn’t get in. Now, I realize that I have an opportunity to do so. This is an opportunity I do not intend to waste.
There are a multitude of reasons I want to attend Virginia Tech, but being reduced to five, I would have to choose the college atmosphere as my top reason. I would love to participate in and enjoy Virginia Tech’s massive football games that are full of life and excitement. The school spirit would truly enhance my experience around the campus and in my social life as well. The second reason is because I want to major in an engineering field, and Virginia Tech is a stellar school for this aspiration. The college’s prestigious ranking in engineering fields is more than enough to convince me to attend. Another reason I want to attend Virginia Tech is because it is my ambition to genuinely love my career path, and I think Virginia Tech is an ideal
Emory offered me something no other school I was accepted to could; it allowed me to study finance and film. Emory also has the perfect location. It is in Atlanta, where many movies are being filmed due to the tax credits in Georgia. This makes getting a job or internship easier. My grandparents and cousins also live in Dunwoody, 25 minutes from campus. This made me feel better about leaving home as I knew there would be people close by if I ever felt homesick. Emory is also the perfect size campus for me. It is large enough to feel like a college not a high school, but small enough to get around campus by just walking. Once here, I discovered you always run into someone you know on campus no matter where you go.
Going to Louisiana Tech would mean a whole lot to me. Louisiana Tech got the be engineering program. I also feel like it’s a great school for me to attend. I see myself going here would help me out a lot with education and skills to become a successful engineer. Louisiana Tech will make a big step in my life when I’m done with my major.
Ever since my sister attended Troy University and told me about all the superior activities Troy has to offer, I have wanted to attend this college. Troy has an outstanding nursing program, and that is the career field I plan on going into prior graduation. I have always wanted to specialize in neonatal nursing with sick babies. Troy also has some awesome sororities at their school I am interested in being a part of. Alpha Gamma Delta is the sorority I am most interested in. They strive to achieve academic excellence and they help out their school as much as they can. Lastly, Troy has a very beautiful, clean, and safe campus. Feeling safe while walking around your college is a very important factor to me.
Texas A&M University in College Station Tx is the college that I wanna go to and hopefully i go to and graduate in computer engineering.
I choose to attend the University of Florida for the culture of community that exists on the campus. The University of Florida has always been a school that wants its students to succeed, but what is the most interesting aspect is that the students push each other together to achieve their goals. We live in a society where it is a "Man vs Man" world and that only one can succeed. Here at the University of Florida, we challenge those social norms and try to create a pathway that fits for everyone. Here, we just don't have dreams, because as gators, we make those dreams plans and those plans into reality. Being able to accomplish or do something that makes your life fulfilling is what made me want to come to the University of Florida and continue to give back to the place that gave me the chance to improve myself and help others improve too.
My main reasons for wanting to attend Lakeland would have to be that it is close to home, my cousin is attending and has told me many great things about the wide option of classes and opportunities, and to further educate myself on computer science as a whole before picking what part of it I would like to make a career out of. As of the time being, my future career goal is to become either a network administrator or a computer engineer. I love working with my hands and prefer this much more than any sort of computer coding. Another very important goal for me, is to improve my overall knowledge of computers, I find them simply fascinating. Something as simple as sending an application for scholarships that used to take days to week to get delivered,
From the moment I stepped onto Georgia Tech's campus, I sensed a certain atmosphere of excitement and creativity. I felt that exciting and innovative things are happening. I instantly knew that Georgia Tech can equip me with the knowledge and education I need to better effect the world around me. Georgia Tech feels like a place where I can be challenged, educated, and intellectually
