Zoos are an enclosure that traps the animal. There are people out there who care about the animals in captivity. All of these animals are in captivity when they should really be in their natural habitat, whether it’s the grasslands or the jungle. The first reason that zoos are inhumane is because while in confinement, animals’ needs are rarely met. In fact, often times these life altering changes made in captivity can have tremendously destructive effects on the animals.

Zoos have always been criticized because some claim that animals are being abused and mistreated due to the lack and care of certain zoos. However, zoos actually help many animals with research and are critically important for conservation purposes. People need to understand that zoos have programs that breed endangered animals as well as rescue programs for exotic animals that people are no longer able to support. Also, they have many hands on activities that allow people to get more connected to animals. In addition, zoos do not only focus on animals. They focus on environmental problems/concerns as well. Zoos help us stay educated about environmental impacts and animal care.

Zoos have been around for 4,000 years, for many years people have gone to zoos to see wild animals up close. What people do not know is animals don't have the best interest in being in a zoo. Now there are modern zoos in almost every city in the world that boasts different arrays of animals. With all these different zoos around the world, we see different approaches on how these animals are treated and what they are subjected to.

Zoos provide protection for animals. Some hunters may kill animals in the wild for their skin so they can sell it. In a zoo, this can never occur. Another reason that zoos should not be banned is that animals are really looked after in the zoo. If an animal got sick in the wild nature there is no one to treat it and most probably the animal will suffer from pain and may even die. However, if the same case was in a zoo, highly qualified vets will be available to deal with this situation appropriately and these vets will provide medicine to the sick or injured

In my opinion, I agree with the idea that zoos are bad. I believe there are many reasons why zoos are bad. Sadly, there is also many data that indicates that they’re bad. To start off, a tiger named Tatiana attacked zoo visitors in San Francisco. The tiger later had killed a 17 year old boy because of his bad wounds.

I am one of the 150 million people that visit a zoo every year. I go to the Omaha zoo every year and the animals are happy and are playing with each other and animals help each other. I also see the workers clean the cages and feed the animals what animals are supposed to eat, the zoo workers do not feed them food that is not healthy for the animals. Some people believe that zoos are bad for animals, I disagree because zoos educate a public, zoos protect animals from the wild animals and zoos give medical care to the animals. In my opinion, zoos are a healthy, physical and emotional life in a zoo than in the wild

Zoos cannot provide the same amount of space as the animals have in the wild. Tigers and lions have around 18,000 times less space than they do in the wild. That means zoos are bad for animals. Some animals get a disease called Zoochosis, they get taken away from their families, and the people that work at the zoo's, get them for money and attention. There are many more reasons that zoos are bad for animals.

Are the zoos good for the animals or are they bad for the animals? For many years people have debated the topic whether the zoos are good or bad for the animals. Have you ever wonder what the animals felt like when they are in the zoos do they feel happy or do they feel sad? Have you ever walked around in the zoos and you seen the animals locked up in small cages?Have you ever seen an animal treated with disrespect?

Zoos are supposedly saving animals- right? Zoos have been around for a long time. Their history dates back to when kings and queens still ruled over countries and animals used to be held in captivity, lived in a cage with metal bars and were treated with no regard. Thankfully, zoos’ procedures have changed and advanced over the ages. Zoos have improved animals’ habitats and started treating the animals better. Although zoos have given animals better places to live in besides a cage with metal bars, a new question has popped up. Are zoos still good news? The zoo debate has been going on for some time. Zoos shouldn’t exist because the animals get very stressed out, the man made habitat conditions still aren’t good for animals, and animals are tortured due to lack of necessities.
