Throughout the past few years, I have contemplated back and forth constantly of what it is I might want to be when I graduate from high school and college. At first I thought maybe a lawyer, but I soon realized that I am not the type of person to argue against others. Maybe I could be a doctor, but too many people are in that profession or want to be in that profession as it is. After a while of long, hard thinking, I decided that I would apply my love of animals to my future career path, therefor I decided that I wanted to be a Veterinarian. From a very young, becoming a veterinarian has been a dream of mine. The love of animals coupled with the thought of helping those animals through suffering and having the opportunity to actually save one's life has been a motivator for the future. A veterinarian changes an animal’s life in more ways than one. They care for the health of animals. Veterinarians are also able to diagnose, treat, and research medical conditions and diseases of not just pets but also livestock and wildlife ("Summary" U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics). It goes beyond the annual vaccinations.

There are many kinds of veterinarians. There are vets that specialize in common house pets like, cats and dogs, vets that take care of exotic creatures like, lizards and snakes, and vets that treat large animals like, horses and cows. For my future career I chose a large animal veterinarian. A large animal veterinarian can treat animals from the zoo to the farm. They mainly work with horses and cattle but they know how to treat other animals. A large animal vet needs to know several types of math and how to use each type in their daily work.

I love animals and I would love to work with them. Ever since I was a little girl I knew I would want to work with animals because they interested me so much. Becoming a veterinarian isn’t just about playing with dogs and cats all day; you are actually in charge of taking care of them and this is a no messing around job. Five years ago if you asked me what I wanted to be when I was older I would have answered with Veterinarian. Still to this day I answer that same question with the same answer. Being a veterinarian is more than just helping animals, to me it's about making a change. Working with many exotic animals in different places around the world to make a difference. The road to becoming a Veterinarian is lengthy but rewarding.

Preventive medical care is provied. They vaccinate and provide check-ups to make sure animals stay healthy. Vets give owners advice about animal care and breeding. Becoming a wildlife veterinarian is a significant career choice because of the interaction a person gets with various species of animals by supplying healing aid to the sick and injured and receiving great rewards when the sick or injured animals return to full health. A wildlife veterinarian career choice comes with many challenges along with satisfying rewards. Becoming a wildlife veterinarian is a competitive field, but if one really has a passion for helping animals, then becoming a veterinarian is the perfect job. A veterinarian is a doctor specialized in the treatment of animals.

The term veterinarian comes from a latin world veterinae which means working animal. A vet works with all types of animals. Everyday animals get hurt and get sick and they will need medical attention. I want to get my bachelors degree to become a vet so I can take care of animals and make good money.

Getting a veterinarian Medicine Degree is not that easy you start in high school wanting to become and have the dedication of being a vet and later follow on with a college preparatory ad good grades in the important subject leading to be a vet like math english and science. However, academics aren't the only skills that is needed to become a veterinarian and be successful in the career you're trying to pursue. Veterinarians have a ton of variety in their career, and that is one of the reasons I like this profession so much. Another thing I like about this career is the danger. Becoming a veterinarian takes a lot of hard work and many years of schooling, but it is an immensely satisfying job for those that are comfortable with and passionate about working with animals as well as people. When doing a job like Veterinarian they are going to meet new people and be ready to learn new things everyday with the help of other people and animals.
