Why Do Children Need Creative Play

There are benefits for children who play in organized activites and in creatively activites. Really there is nothing wrong with either one. Many people have there own inpinion but there is no or right answer. What activety would you have your child or children do?

The purpose of the study was to see if play will enhance the cognitive development of the child or children. We want to find out if play really shows us that the child or children is thinking or using problem-solving skills. The aspect of cognitive development the is the focus of the study is classification and symbolic play.

There are people who think that creative play is better for children and there are people who think that organized activities are better. I don't exactly know if one is better than the other, but I think that organized activities are better. Creative play seems great but it doesn't seem like it improves the way children think as much as organized activities do. Organized activities gives children the knowledge on how to be more like an adult.

Many people think it's best to let kids play more creatively. They say it will sharpen their social skills through creative play, and enjoy pretending to be someone els or putting on plays with friends. They also learn to lead, fallow, how to solve any problem, and negotiate. By letting kids play creatively helps them learn about one another and realize how to work to geather and help somone when needed.

In conclusion, allowing children the freedom of choosing what activity they are interested in creates a need for the child to think, interact and collaberate. However,organized activities are good for children in some aspects such as pride, structure,and responsibility but I still completely agree with allowing children to "play creatively". I support both creative play, as well as organized activities. Children should be able to do both. I believe they need the structure of organized activities, and the creative play for them to be who they are. A parent should not have to have their child choose just one way to play.

When childs lives are filled with controlled activity, they need creative play to express who they are. Organized activities are very structured and usually have rules and decisions made by adults. Creative play is more hands on. Using materials the children can interpret how they see fit, and only thier judgment or imagination are the building blocks.
