Why Do We Write?

Writing is an essential part of everyday life. Although not everyone shares that same passion for it, there are many reasons as to why we write. In the textbook (The St. Martin's Concise Guide To Writing) we are given the following reasons as to why we write; write to communicate, write to think, write to learn, write to succeed, and write to know yourself and connect to other people. These examples that we are given are pretty straight forward and self explanatory. Not only are you communicating to others, but you are also communicating to yourself through pen and paper.
