This year’s thanksgiving day, we ate a feast with turkey and appreciated everyone and everything around us. Nothing has a manifest to be there for you through this whole year and after another complete route around the sun, we should take one day to show our thankfulness that we do not express on a daily basis. There are numerous of things to be thankful of and the three most important ones that I am thankful for are my family and friends, my notebook, and weirdly, my crush. First, my family and friends are the most important people in my life and I am so thankful for them. Throughout this year, the school work that has been increasing abruptly have brought me into a general status of malaise because of how it stymies me from fun. However, my friends are always the ones making coming to school less painful and creating memories I could never forget. Also, they have redefined “fun” for me: instead of being spendthrift outside, it has become every single time they are beside me. Though we all go through hard times, we tend to pull each other out of it and stand back on our feet. There are no words that can express my thankfulness to them for making a year so adventurous and exciting. Moreover, my family that has always been supporting me no matter what happens is truly amazing. Though …show more content…
My crush is the one I find the most happiness from, even if he doesn’t know it. During a frustrating day, it always make me so much happier seeing him. It just give me so much more motivation to do many things. His simple act drives me insane and I love that feeling. Moreover, he always remind me of never giving up my dream to travel the world because he seems to always be chasing his dreams, and I love that about him. Although being thankful for someone that might not even know I like him is not something a normal person would do, I am still thankful for him and giving me strength to never waver my dream and to go forth and achieve
Now for why I write. I rarely write for fun, which probably should change for the better, but that is not unlike many. I write, when I have to write for school or any other academic activity. Writing interest for these assignments only goes as deep as the material or topic. If the topic is interesting I will be much more excited to write about it. With that being said, my least favorite part of writing is the writer's block that comes with a boring topic, really it is the bane of my writing. Now on to the actual writing. For me, free writing is hard to accomplish, I need directive. Book reports and detailed essays with directions are my favorite things to write because they give a good starting point for the beginning of the writing process.
Every year before I eat the big Thanksgiving meal, I stop and think about what I’m thankful for. My family, friends, and health are important to me.
This Thanksgiving I have many things to be thankful for, and all for good reasons. But I am the most thankful for all the special people in my life because of what they do to help me. I am thankful for the most important people in my life, my family, my teachers, and my friends.
Every year, there is one day dedicated to giving thanks in America. That day is known as Thanksgiving. In the weeks before, families will make plans to get together with relatives, and decide who will bring what food. On the day of, people will spend the morning cooking. Later, the guests arrive and most likely sit down to wait for food, watching football. These actions are just a few examples of what people are thankful for. As for myself, there are many things I am thankful for, to many to remember or even know. But there are a few main things I am very thankful for.
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks for all of our rights and the things that we have. We are very thankful to come home every day to a nice home with food and water, some people don’t have the nice things that we have. The rights that I am thankful for as a citizen of this country are the freedom of religion and the freedom of speech.
Do you think it’s right for people who have PTSD to not be treated immediately? I think especially for veterans, yes because making them wait hours and hours or even weeks and weeks just to see the doctor is just too much. More should be done to improve current treatment for sufferers of PTSD. We should be grateful for what the veterans have done for us. It’s sad that veterans can’t just walk into a hospital and get treated.
Are you thankful for something? Well I am. I’m thankful for a roof over my head, good health, and family. Being thankful is when you express your gratitude and relief to others that do a lot for you. You can show someone you're thankful by doing the littlest things. So this Thanksgiving show someone how thankful you are. It doesn’t even have to be Thanksgiving, you can thank someone anyday. You can show thanks by baking cookies for a loved one, or you could even just tell someone thanks. I hope you take what I just told you, and go thank someone, because it’s not that hard. Now I’m going to tell you what I’m thankful for and why.
Thanksgiving is more than just a day off or a break from school, it’s more than just a holiday. It’s more than just stuffing your face with mash potatoes and turkey. It's a time to fellowship and give thanks. This year has brought about multiple challenges, but we have stayed faithful and strong as a family. There is nothing more powerful than our family. God has blessed me with such a solicitous family.
A few months ago, I was just beginning the second semester of my junior year and I felt like I was living the life. I had a reliable car, a loving family, and a great group of friends who had my back. However, in late January of that year, my little brother suffered a medical emergency that tested me and my strength as well as that of
The best feeling in the world is being let out of school for a two week break. As I walk out of the school into the bright, crisp snow I say, “See you next year!” to my friends, my warm breath trailing in the cold air. When I get home I throw all my stuff down and collapse on the floor, breathing a sigh of relief. My house smells like pine trees from the dozens of candles
Thanksgiving has brought people together since America was colonized. It is a time for giving and counting your blessings. During this season, we should spend time with family and give thanks. I am thankful for many things in life. One of those things is my family. My family provides for me, nurtures me, and loves me. I am so grateful to my whole family but especially to my parents, because without them, I would not be here. My dad, no matter what the time, always lightens the air with a joke. Somehow he always puts a smile on my face and, up until now, i didn’t realize how important that is. My mom is the most hardworking person I know. She is up early in the morning on her computer and still manages to make breakfast and pack our lunches. Although the stress of having a full time job is tough, she still always My brother always wants me to play with him. From video games on Saturday mornings to reading with me at night, we
