Why Homework Is Hard To Work

Is homework more trouble than it is worth? Many students would say it is. Often times, students will work on homework for several hours a day and produce no results. Whether it is in tests, quizzes, or real life situations, improvement does not always show in the results. In fact, homework can cause many different problems. Teachers should stop assigning homework so students will not feel as stressed about school, will have more time to do activities, will have less strain in their relationships, and will not have the negative effects that homework brings.

Homework limits sleep, social life, and causes loads of stress. There’s no time for kids to spend with their family and friends, or do the things they love. Children need to be able to live a carefree life; enjoying all the time they have left just to be kids. Middle school students should not get homework.

Homework. Just by the sound of that word, the aggravating feeling arises. Students of all ages ask the question, “Why do we have homework?” Whether we like it or not, homework will be assigned to students no matter what. The real question happens to be, is homework helpful or harmful? Many people state that homework takes up too much time and has effects on health, while others argue that homework benefits the student because it allows them to have extra time to study and practice their skills. Furthermore, research indicates that homework is harmful due to the fact that it causes stress and takes time from a persons’ daily life.

Do you know what it feels like to be pressured? To feel like you just can't do something, or just absolutely cannot complete something? To feel like you are not able to do something? Well, unfortunately, kids feel this way all of the time. You're probably wondering why. Believe it or not, the cause for this is homework. Did you know that homework can cause major stress that can lead to drug abuse, alcohol abuse, or even thoughts of suicide? This partly why schools should not have homework. Yes, you might think that homework should be in schools because it can also establish great habits with kids, but homework is not such a friendly aspect of life for everyone. In fact, it takes up tons of their life. You might think that it's unfortunate, but homework should not occur.

Most students claim that homework is very frustrating. In fact, 99% of students who have homework, think that it is much too stressful. We kids should be able to spend time with their family, instead of doing work already assigned and completed in class. No elementary student should have homework. It is not shown to be a benefit, but rather a stressor and time consumer. Why are you upsetting the next generation?

Homework is making it so kids can't spend time with their families or have some time for themselves.

Homework help you practice at school you learn all day but it is not over you can learn at home with your family,with a friend. It allows the student and the teachers to work closely together and it also may bring family together. Doing homework makes the children more responsible in life.

Homework has caused me an abundance of stress. Homework has caused me to lose large amounts of sleep. Also homework is the most hated thing in school, so it should not be the thing we focus on the most. In addition, on some days homework has reduced my excitement to learn, and lessened my creativity.

Although homework gives students a chance to succeed in a very competitive world, it takes up a lot of time in the day, it doesn’t help students grow academically, and it also takes a toll on the personal lives and the health of many students.

Students all across the country are suffering from the same dilemma, homework! It may not be seen as a dilemma or even a problem but rather as something helpful to the learning process. From a student’s point of view, however, homework is one of the top causes of stress throughout high school. With the expectation to take about 6 to 7 classes a day, the amount of homework each teacher assigns starts to pile up and the workload gets overwhelming. No one wants to sit at a table wrecking their brain trying to figure out how to complete something they have no interest in. Is a student’s willingness and ability to learn not important? They can both be effected by the amount of stress that a huge workload of homework can cause. This is why teachers should decrease the amount of homework they assign and modify it to make it more balanced and challenging yet interesting and not time consuming. The amount of stress students face would diminish and students would still be learning.

I truly believe homework is not good for kids. School is already long enough. Homework gets kids scared if they can’t answer a question or they forget to bring it back to school. In addition, homework takes away kids from their families. For these reasons I am going to show you that homework causes more harm than good.

There should not be any homework. children go to school from 8:10-3:10 that is seven hours a day of non-freedom. We are told what to do and how to do it all day. When kids are at home,kids should not have to worry about doing homework.Kids should be able to relax and spend time with family. When typed in google, claims about homework, it gives a lot of facts about when kids get home and are worried about homework.

Many people believe that homework is beneficial. They believe that it teaches responsibility and helps with the over all education of students. However, the negative effects of homework are so large in number that the benefits become negligible.

Kids spend a large majority of their week in the classroom. The time they get to spend with their family is very short because of the long days in school. Homework only further cuts into this important bonding time for families.
