Think about what you are doing and when you succeed what life you will have.” There are several different reasons why I could stay home, work and not go to college; I could go to work every day and make more money for the house, it’s easier, and I would be less stressed. Now, on the other hand there are many reasons why I should go to school; such as further my education, make my family proud, and make myself proud. I believe that college is the right choice for me. I’ve grown up looking forward to advancing my education and creating a foundation for a future career. Both of my parents are college graduates and ingrained in me from a young age that college is the path to success. My aunts, uncles, and cousins are also highly successful after completing college. All the adults that make an impact in my life have gone to college, and I believe if I continue advancing my education I will turn out extremely successful.

The reason why I am I college is so I can become a counselor. My dream is to help people because it is something that I am good at. In high school I ran for vice president of my senior class so I can help our senior year be the best (I won of course). I listened to what everyone wanted to do that year and my student government and I made some of it happened. I was also a part of two teams in high school, the soccer team and the swimming team. Being part of of these teams I would help my teammates during our games and meet; couching them in what they are doing right and wrong. After high school I started working in a retail store, footlocker as a cashier and till this day I still have my job. As a cashier we get many complaints in the day by our customer when they feel like they did not get the proper customer service or when the merchandise is unwanted or destroyed. My job is to listened to the customer and make sure they are satisfied with how they got treated in the store. I decided to go to college because I believe that education is an important part of life and that being educated has many advantages. Like many, one of the biggest reasons for deciding to attend college is to create a better future for myself. Being a first-generation college student my parents have implanted on me the importance of college education, as it is something they wish they would have done themselves. As the first of four children to go to college, I feel that it is my responsibility to be a good example to my younger siblings, and show them that it is important to have goals in life and to better yourself as a person through education. I understand that an university education may not be for everyone, but it felt like the right choice for me. Is college really worth it, is a question that many people are asking themselves when thinking about their future. College is very expensive, though is worth it because there are many benefits to getting a college education. Most people who are against college do not understand what it can do for the next generation. College is very much worth it for the education, for the experience and also for the money.

After getting many certifications in a couple of different areas I ended up at a dead end. Employers seem to care more about a degree than certifications, even know you know a lot of the same material from a degree.

People go to college for many different reasons, some go to prepare themselves for a job there seeking. Others because they’re doing what their parents are telling them, or their going to just explore their options. I think at some point and time though, everyone going to college has at least wondered whether going to college is worth it or not. We worry whether we’ll find a job, or if we’re going to have severe financial problems in the future due to debt. This question is important to me, because I’m one of the many that don’t really know what I want to do with my life. As cliche as it may sound, college was never an option that I gave myself. Going to college was more of an obligation that I set for myself when I started enter the field of education as a student. In my household, the goal of getting into college was always around me. The daily discussion in my household when it comes to the discussion about school, always starts with, “When I get to college”. When I have discussions with adults and career counselors about my career choice, I always start off with, “When I finish college”. A college education is important in my family, and I have been taught the values of having a college degree can guarantee me a successful job in life. My mother continually pushed me towards the entrance of college,

I know exactly what I want to be become. I want to become one of the greats, and discover things that could change someone’s entire life. I do not want to go into medicine for the money, or even the praise that would come along with being titled a neurosurgeon. I have decided to pursue medicine because I know that it will continually challenge me and push me past my limits.

Throughout my high school career, I had the goal to graduate and then attend college. For a large part of my four years in high school, I was unsure as to what type of undergraduate program I wanted to be in. Nevertheless, I continued to work hard in all my classes. My motivation to do well in school was not only fueled by my goal of achieving a respectable GPA, but also my thirst to gain a vast amount of knowledge. I took a wide variety of classes within my high school career, only narrowing my classes to gear towards my chosen college major during my senior year. I took what I learned in high school to springboard me into college.

More than just an Education As a college student, one of my main goals is to earn my degree in college and start working in the medical field. But, another thing I want to achieve is to gain knowledge that will help me survive the real world outside of just working. Attending USF will help me reach both of my goals because it is a Christian Liberal Arts School. Here, I will not only learn about Computer Science and Biology, but I will also be well rounded when I leave because of what our School is. The University of Sioux Falls will not only enable me to do what I love but it will also teach me important morals and creative topics that general education could not.

College is a very important subject when it comes to planning your future. Colleges can be found in almost every part of the world, and in a numerous amount of countries. College is an educational institute of higher education and also where academic research takes place. While attending college, you work towards obtaining a college degree of your choice to work in a related career field or profession. After completing college and earning your degree, you now have the training and knowledge for starting a career. For many people, going to college and earning a degree is the only way to being successful and obtaining a career. At the same time, for many others it’s a waste of time and a trap for student-loan debt with an unpromising job market.

I grew up in Anaheim, California dreaming about being an astronaut, a store clerk, a Powerpuff Girl, and an actress. Unfortunately, none of those dreams ever made it past a few months before I decided I wanted to do something else. When I was in high school, I was introduced into the world of theatre. Being a part of the theatre company at my high school allowed me to explore a world that allows everyone to express their creativity. If it wasn’t for my first theatre class I would’ve never found my love of theatre and film.

Why did you choose to come to Penta? We all chose Penta for various reasons, whether it was to get away from our homeschool or start a career. Some of us wanted to go to Penta to make it easier to go to college and get a decent paying job. I am Tyler Mack a student in Penta’s Information Technologies Academy program.
