As a daughter of two immigrants of the United States of America, I know how important education is and the role it plays in securing me a bright future. That's why I never take my education for granted and always work hard and committed to my study. That's the reason why I believe I should be chosen for your scholarship.
I've learned about the value of education since a young age and have never taken it lightly. I always try my best at school and study to the best of my ability. I have never failed to turn in a homework or a project. I take advanced, challenging courses to gain more knowledge even though that means that the workload is heavier.

Since my family came to United Sates as refugee my parents have no education background but hard worker believe that all their children will have better education in USA..Therefore, my parents does not have any financial to support for my future education. Education is something that I have always valued. My passion of learning has only intensified since I was younger. The constant challenge that comes with learning new things is how I know that I am bettering myself. I have always been a very self-dependant person, and education wizens me and allows me to make my own decisions.

I want to help research and design robotic prosthetics that provide more natural movements and the sense of touch. Movement is one of the challenges that affect people with missing limbs the most. Having the ability to stand, walk, reach, and grab are tasks that do not come easy for them. They will always need assistance. Being on our high school robotics team, we built robots that could lift, throw, and grab objects. I would love to make robotic devices to help disabled people live normal lives. I recently had the opportunity to visit a facility for wounded soldiers at Ft Sam, TX. We learned how they fit and customize prosthetic arms and legs for the soldiers and how they benefit

I believe that I should be awarded this scholarship because of my effort in my past twelve years. There have been many times where I wanted to give up on school, but my motivation arose from my parents and their struggle to keep my sister and me in school. Being from Guatemala, their goal was for me to get my education, and if I didn’t try I would be letting the opportunities slip through my hands. Throughout my four years of high school I’ve had sleepless nights, about 100 cups of coffee, endless alarm clocks, and stressful test days to get myself where I am now. I am twelve out of the one thousand and ninety-nine seniors; my GPA is a four point five. In the end it was all my effort. Without me pushing myself, I wouldn’t have been here awaiting

I deserve this scholarship because I’m a strong female role model, dedicated to God, school, family and friends, along with my work. I intern at the Sigourney Elementary School where I work with different grades. I feel privileged to work with the younger kids who look up to me as a role model. My relationship with God is very strong, and I try to share that with those around me. I’m hardworking during school and work. I do my best to keep up with my grades, and always stay on top of my homework. I take my schoolwork very seriously, and want to get in as much learning as I can. At one point I was taking nine classes compared to the normal seven period day. I work two jobs now, and can always be counted on to cover hours for those who are sick or can’t come in. I’m active in different organizations in school and am a team player. I’ve shown leadership skills through my years as a Girl Scout since Kindergarten, along with helping inspire the younger girls. These are just a few of the reasons I believe I would be a worthy candidate for the PEO scholarship.
The reason I am deserving of this scholarship is that, I am persistent and have the ability to put in all the hard work it will take and follow it through to achieve my goals and dreams. I believe in myself that I can achieve my goals and dreams, and I believe that this scholarship will give me that foundation I need to build a better self and enable me to become a person who will make a difference in this world.
My education has always been something I have taken seriously. The transition of unchallenging courses to ones that were rigorous have influenced me to expand my knowledge and take advantage of resources.
I believe that you should choose me for a scholarship because I am devoted to finishing the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Cincinnati State. This is something that I have pursued since I graduated high school last year. I have worked diligently in my classes and studied for my TEAS test in order to be competitive candidate for this program. This scholarship will help with my educational goals because I will not need to graduate with a degree in my hand, but the debt being an anchor.
