Being in charge of a group of children can be a tad bit overwhelming at times, however once you realize that children don’t care if your singing is horrible, or it you mess up in the reading of the book. All they care about is that your taking time to teach and interact with them. They want you to take the time to read them, and play house with them. Listen to their silly stories as well as tell silly stories. Children are curious about the world and only get the opportunity to be a child once in their life.

These are photo’s that were taking during my head teacher practicum while working at First Step Learning Center. I was the head teacher of the three year old group.
During group times we started out with a opening song and or finger play. We then discussed the calendar and the weather of the day. Once that was complete we read a story or acted out a story with flannel board pieces. This usually tied in with what we were learning for the week. Such as back to school, dental hygiene, fall fun and/or recycling. After the story we discussed what we were going to be working on and maybe what was going to happen during the day. We would then sing some more songs and then dismiss to go play at centers. Being able to successfully lead a group time and keep the

The word professionalism started my journey toward a certain goal. How will I fit in to this new organization? Followed by the question, how will I exhibit Professionalism? I start by learning and understanding what it means. The Merriam - Webster dictionary defines professionalism as “the skill, good judgment and polite behavior that is expected from a person who is trained to do a job well”; and it defines a profession as “a type of job that require special education, training, or skill.

My job role includes ensuring the happiness, wellbeing and safety of all the children I work with and to make sure that I help, together as a team with the other practioners that I work with to provide a stimulating environment where the children can learn and thrive from.
The thought of professionalism conjures up many ideas, and possibly pre-conceived judgements. These will not always be classed as positive or negative, but will undoubtedly have a profound effect on the way you are perceived in your area of work or chosen profession.
Teacher should make discuss the enjoyable and purpose of literacy and when you read to the children talk about the reason you chose the book and make story pleasurable. You should also try to capture the interest of the children and let them chose a book. Then role play the book with props of the characters in the story and change your voice to fit the characters’ if possible. Make the library area a quiet and relaxing area that children like to visit without force.
I believe that I deserve an A for my professionalism grade in legal writing this semester. Three main factors contribute to one’s professionalism: attendance, engagement, and timeliness of outside work. Firstly, I have attended nearly all of our classes this semester, with the exception of the two days when I was ill. During my time in class, I regularly participate in a meaningful way, often doing so multiple times per class. I am willing to read or answer questions, even if I am unsure of the correct answer. This participation, in combination with the discussions that I partake in with my classmates on a daily basis, indicates that I am engaged in the material that we learn about in class. To the third point, all of my work for this course

Professionalism is based on ones own self. There are many qualities associated with being professional.
Employers and regulators have an important role to play in supporting professionalism, and giving it to wave and develop. The relevance and role of professionalism needs to be presented positively and proactively. In a medical setting, healthcare professionals must set the tone for the interaction with patients and visitors. They are constantly in contact with people who will assess them based on the way they communicate, body language, and appearance. A professional is characterized by or conforming to the technical or ethical standards of a profession, exhibiting a courteous, conscientious, and generally businesslike manner in the workplace. Being professional should be a subconscious
Progress looks like a bunch of failures, and the way that we appraise our failures can either halt us in our journey or motivate us to become better versions of ourselves. I like to believe I chose the latter. Coming from a family of health professional I always felt inclined to pursue a medically related career. Being only partially focused towards bringing those goals to fruition my first two years of undergrad were rocky. After seeing the birth of my son, Cason, listening and watching procedures done by the clinical team my attention peaked. Seeing terminology learned in class with real life application, created a major turning point for my scholastic career. Along with my fatherly duties I picked up discipline, which lead me to
Professionalism can be defined as the skills expected from someone that was trained to perform a certain job or duty. Personally, I agree with this simple description, but at the same time I believe that professionalism is a much more complex characteristic. There is a difference between being “a” professional and “be” professional. Nowadays, most of us, students, are looking forward to obtain a degree in order to be qualified for a certain type of job. In other words, the main goal of students is to become professionals in a particular area. Become a professional it is not only related to college and the learning process, it is related to the development and improvement of one’s abilities. For instance, when applying the learned skills in
‘‘Your cousin is in the hospital’’ are the words, still echo in my ears, I could barely hear at that time when I was sitting at my father’s shop in my village, a couple of decades ago. I left the shop open and ran towards the primary care center in that area where I could see all my relatives gathered around my cousin with whom I have cherished the best moments of my childhood. He was in a coma with ‘‘uncountable sugar’’ in his blood as told by the doctor. Due to lack of resources, it was decided to take him to the nearest tertiary care hospital to save his life. He died on his way to the hospital due to dehydration, a complication of DKA. That day, I decided that I should choose a profession in which I can save human lives. From a family of local businessmen for centuries, I am the only ‘black sheep’ who came into the field of medicine from a small village in Pakistan.
