Why I Hate The Standard on Makeup There has recently been a lot of controversy on makeup. Many girls in particular have recently been putting on makeup a lot more than in past years. Consequently, they are judged by society. Girls have the right to decide whether they want to wear makeup or not. They should not feel pressured into looking like others or what they see in social media. Numerous people think that some girls wear too much makeup to the point that it alters the way they look. Implying that they are ugly without it. Girls could just simply ignore these comments but it's easier to say than do. Although, these types of comments don't hurt physically they can hurt emotionally, this could lead girls to have depression. They will feel
Through each generation, makeup symbolizes how women are superior, however, society today has misinterpreted the intentions of makeup believing that it is a response of the lack of confidence and there are these accusations made of it promoting false advertisement. Currently, these statements provoked some makeup artists to come together and create a challenge called #ThePowerOfMakeup, as an act of protest to spawn the true understanding that makeup is not an excuse for women, or men, to cover up their inner beauty from society. Therefore, the controversy is whether the introduction of makeup has become an option for women to mask their insecurities or is its considered an artistic way for people to express their individuality. Nevertheless,
Going throughout middle school, I used to see all the pretty girls with boyfriends and all of the "ugly" girls were stuck with no one. And don't get me wrong, guys are the same way, but girls seemed to start being shamed for their weight, how they dress, their hair, even not wear make-up at a young age. Which, if you didn't know, makeup is supposed to ENHANCE your beauty, NOT completely change how you look.
Girls are not walking barbies, they are people who have emotions. So what do you think about the media and society putting “Too Much Pressure on Girls to Have ‘Perfect’ Bodies?” Girls are human with emotions and they have so much pressure on them to look perfect so that many get stressed out about it. It is not fair for them to be judged about. Girls as young as 7 to 12 years are at risk of negative body images that can lead to eating disorders, drinking, acting out sexually, suicide and bullying. We can help them if we try.Girls should not be pressured into have the perfect body because it stressful all the time for girls not wear something and think that they aren't going to get made fun of for wearing it, also they are depressed for getting made fun of and it's not ok for them to have to go through this.
Girls are more focus on their appearance by investing money into makeup, clothing and plastic surgery in order to achieve society standards of beauty. The statistics of the number of girls that
Society has set certain stereotypes to girls and women about what it is considered to be beautiful that girl’s focus more in their appearances than in their internal selves. Every girl deserves to feel beautiful because they all are, but how can girls think that they are beautiful if there is always that constant reminder of what being considered beautiful is. It is often seen on TV various shows where little girls are being judged by the way they walk, turn, how their makeup and hair is done and what they are wearing, and obviously their beauty. Society has set such high standards of what is considered beautiful and girls are being the victims of those standards. Girls now feel that they are not beautiful enough because they do not meet
Now day's when you say you love make up it's because you want to look good for boys, or because you're insecure. My parents distinguish make up to be ostentatious, but in retrospect I use it to pop character into me.
Makeup is a revolutionary tool used by women and few men to enhance their outward appearance; it was created with the intent to enhance the beauty in women and allow them to embrace their natural given features, not to hide
All American females live in a society that puts undue pressure on women to accommodate an unreasonable ideal, and the Euro-American standard of beauty has dominated popular culture causing devastating economic, physical, and psychological effects, particularly on African American women, who should embrace their natural beauty. African American women make destructive changes to their body that will break down their bank accounts, and the woman's physical body appearance to the naked eye. Rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, and botulinum toxin are just some of the costly surgeries that have major changes and that can cost up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. Physically, African American women begin
Nine and ten years olds are going through puberty faster than my generation has, and are getting their period and breasts before they should. Taking a look at what freshman girls look like today, with the amount of care and products put into their makeup and hair, they look barely legal. The other issue is how obsessed our culture is with appearance. If these girls are physically maturing faster, and trying to act “older,” they’ll be looking into makeup. Already, there are many harmful things people have done to achieve a certain look, such as sucking into a cup to create Kylie Jenner lips. Lipsticks in the past contained mercury, or lead. These girls are exposed extremely early to the world of makeup and puberty, and it’s not okay when our society is saying that a look is better than someone’s health. Future generations are suffering from our lack of regulations and involvement in this
Teenage girls are taught that they should be unhappy with their bodies and to fix their imperfections, and but a lot of makeup to hide all of it. I don’t mean to bring down all women who wear it, I mean I wear some every time I go to school, but that’s because I hide behind that mask to actually be noticed and liked by people. I am sad to say that I also am influenced by the idea of having to look a certain way. 13 year old girls need to realize sometimes it’s okay to go out without makeup on, and just be you instead of being someone you clearly aren’t. You don’t want to grow up and miss out your
Little girls who wear make-up at a young age makes them look older than they should. It is every little girl dream to be pretty like a princess or making their face look pretty. When girls wear to much make up their face might create a reaction to the chemicals. The older they get the more reaction to the make-up will affect their face. Make-up is not bad for little girls, but wearing it heavily can cause a problem. They would think their mother or professional make-up artist putting layers of make-up on their face to make them feel like clowns. I think the judges would like to see a
First of all, beautiful is complety viewed on the principles of society. But to much beauty is only up to the person who wants to become beautiful. Like in source A, Being beautiful could be dangerous and cancerous to your health. So many beauty products can and will harm your skin and destroy your face in the long term. Petrolatem, siloxanes, and triclosans are all chemicals that are dangerous when in contact with skin and wouldn't you know tthat they are some key ingredients in make up. They are also all slighty cancerous. If women are willing to increase the chance of cancer for looks then that is when beauty is to beautiful. the cost to Become pretty is of course the risk of cancer and damaging your skin yet people will put it on regardless.
I felt that it was fine to go makeup-less shopping because I probably will never see the people I pass by again. But to go to a place where my peers know me for a different face and could judge me saying “ she’s ugly without makeup” intimidates me. I once did that and I felt as if everyone saw me differently; like they didn’t acknowledge me anymore. I felt ugly. I realized how insecure I was about it and
Wearing expensive cosmetics used to be against the law. In some countries is wearing make-up still against the law. For many people is make-up their world. There are a lot of different style of make-up. Make-up is like a piece of art. People can be creative and do their make-up the way they like. Of course a lot of people follow make-up trends. Most of the time the trends are all about expensive Make-up, but someone times people find a dupe for it. $60 vs $20. That is a big different and they have the same pigmentation and quality. Expensive make-up isn’t the money worth.
