Why I Want To Be A Catholic School Essay

As I take this chance to reflect, I discovered a truth, the sky is the limit. During my years at St. Luke, I have developed as a student, an athlete, and as a member of the Catholic Church. I believe that everyone brings something special gift to the world, and I believe my gift is that of determination to become a great man through faith and education. I have been an alter server for about two years. Being an alter server has brought me closer to God and my Catholic community. Education has been a big part of my life. I can truly say I am grateful for the opportunity I have had to attend St. Luke. After St. Luke, my plans are to use my education and become prepared to take on the challenges and rewards of high school.

Going to Catholic school allows me to grow in faith as one body of Christ. Our school, St. John Neumann, allows us to go to mass twice during the school week and on holy days of obligation. I have attended many different types of schools: public, private, Catholic and homeschool as a result of my father’s career in the military. Attending Catholic school is very important to me especially because I have a lot of very good friends at Sacred Heart School. For example, my best friend Lucianna is attending Sacred Heart again next year and I look forward to her company. Jesuit teaches their students to be respectful, and also makes them participate in many activities helping those in need. For example, activities such as the Thanksgiving drive, community service activities, and the mission drive, are all events that put the less fortunate before Jesuit students.
