Introduction
My ultimate goal in this paper is to carefully describe my interests and desires for my future career. I am extremely intrigued and attracted to Medical careers and Health Science. A General Practitioner requires a few skills in which some are reading comprehension, active listening and science. My top career cluster was Health Science, which was the field I was desiring prior to the survey.
My basic skills survey diagnosed that I had strong reading comprehension, science, monitoring, etc. These are essential for becoming a General Practitioner. I can study and research medicinal vaccines, bacteria, and illness. I will aim to become a General Practitioner as my future occupation.

I really enjoy the thought of being a General Practitioner and writing this paper about it.
I would say the most challenging part of this paper would be the “Plan For College”
Exercise 8.1 challenged my occupational prospects with my ideal job description. My ideal job description would be diagnosing and treating patients. Examinations and tests would allow me to diagnose patient conditions. Another ideal job description would be prescribing treatment and medications to attempt to heal any illnesses or injuries. Accountant, research scientist, health information specialist, biophysicist, mathematician, career counselor, and biologist were the occupation prospects which I eliminated during this particular exercise. Exercise 8.2 challenged my occupation prospects which were generated only once, twice, or even three times. Sports trainer and medical technologist were only generated twice, and therefore, were eliminated.

Only graduates of accredited PA programs may take the exam and only those who receive a passing score may become a certified PA. A recertification exam must be completed every six years to maintain certification. In addition, PAs are required to complete 100 hours of continuing medical study every two

The career that I have decided to pursue is a physician assistant because this career seems like the right fit for me. A physician assistant, also known as a PA, practices medicine under a physician. Physicians assistants usually specialize in a certain area of medicine and they either work in private practices or hospitals. They partake in a wide range of jobs ranging from examining patients, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medicine, and many similar jobs that physicians do. In rural areas, PAs have the ability to be the primary physician because of the lack of physicians in the area. This career was located in my third top career cluster, health sciences, from the interest assessment and the career, was under the career pathway of therapeutic services. I feel like the I have the skills needed to fulfill this career because I enjoy helping people even though health sciences was not in my top five career clusters from the skills assessment.

The medical field is a career path that brings about many options and opportunities of great value. The noble idea of being a doctor tends to cloud the diligent studying and precise training that is actually required for this career. I have wanted to become a doctor since a very young age, and now that the opportunity is here for the taking, I have fully researched what it takes to succeed in this profession and various specialties of the practice. The road to a medical degree is one filled with thousands of notes, years of schooling, and many stressful nights, but the reward is one incomparable to any other. Saving people’s lives on a day-to-day basis has been one of my dreams for as long as I can remember, so the rigorous curriculum
Starting my P1 year I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do, but I knew that I want to help underserved populations. I know now could potentially do that in any of the career options listed. Since I only obtain 6 results, I did read additional career profiles. After reading, I know that I can rule out Office Based Medical Management because I want to directly help patients in person, rather than behind a desk.
Attending a First Aid course improved my confidence in emergency situations and competence to provide relevant care. I teach first aid to small groups in school as CPR training and awareness will increase chances of survival from heart attacks. My mother's illness has inspired me to complete two online courses on Cancer and Abdominal Anatomy which required efficient time management. As I have found, the ability to work as a team is essential for the role of a doctor. Effective teamwork was crucial in the Drill Team during my time as an Air Cadet and it was this which led to victory. I play Basketball socially to unwind and have been committed to Tennis, competing in several Tennis tournaments. Doctors must be diligent, resilient and empathetic, skills which I am beginning to develop. I have found that doctors must commit to lifelong learning and I believe I have begun to acquire the necessary academic skills to pursue such a demanding profession. I have learnt that the role of a doctor extends far beyond treating disease to giving patient
I hope all is well. I wanted to update you on the status of my “3 Reasons I Want to be a Physician” document. Attached is my revised version of the project. Dr. Hines and Mr. Charles have also been emailed with this new version. The advice given at the summer debriefing was very powerful and I hope this document
Over the past few weeks I have been researching my interests, values, and goals. Throughout this research a lot of things that were already evident to me, were proven for a fact. My interests included researching different aspects of science and data analysis. Analysis has always been a big part of my life because I analyze everything. My values have been proven to be centered toward helping people and being around people. These interests and values are almost equivalent with what my goals in life have been over the past years. For the past few years I have wanted to become some type of pharmacist or physician. In this paper, I have researched what being a pharmacist and physician
My aspiration for the medical field was enforced as I observed the positive effect my primary care doctor had on my family. The accessibility and quality of
The minimum academic entry requirements for being a general practitioner, you need to do a five-year degree course in medicine you will usually need at least five GCSEs at grades A*/A including English and maths and at least grade B in science. You will also need a minimum of three A levels at grades AAA/AAB in chemistry and either biology, physics or maths, plus another academic subject. There are also training and development programmes which they need to join such as the General Medical Council (GMC) which will help them develop the different skills for them to have an effective job role.
I have taken stock of myself, considering my skills, experiences, and goals. I have looked to family and friends, some of whom are doctors, for advice. Because of this self-examination, I have decided to pursue a career in health care. The process has been difficult at times but always illuminating. Throughout it all, I have never lost confidence - the confidence that I will actively absorb all available medical knowledge, forge friendships with fellow students, and emerge from my training as a skilful and caring physician.
What career do you aspire? A question that is inevitable to all of us. Many of us struggle to find out the career that we are going to pursue. For many a decision of choosing a career comes when they are already in college and for others they seem to know at a young age what career they are going to follow. There is a group of professionals that we cannot live without; in fact we rely on them for good health and to save our life and the lives of our loved ones, and they are the Doctors.
