There are several people in our times that are considered a hero. Whether, these heroes are fictional or nonfiction, they all portray some kind of heroic abilities.

Heroes cannot be simply defined in a few words; being a hero is not being perfect, it is holding some specific, heroic qualities that people can look up to. Especially in the case of Chris McCandless, one must understand that he was a real person, a person that possessed certain negative aspects of human nature; he is not a figure in a fictional piece of work that can be sculpted to the idea of a hero. Using this definition of a hero, Chris McCandless does in fact, embody the idea of a hero as someone to be admired to a certain extent; he is a figure that has shown noble qualities and strength through adversity.

There is more to being a hero than just saving lives. A hero can be defined as someone who is courageous and admired for brave acts. Christopher McCandless sets out on a journey across North America to find himself and escape from the cookie cutter schedule that the average person goes through day after day.

A Hero is defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary as "a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities" . This means that a hero is someone people look up to. Anyone can be a hero. Heroes have qualities such as bravery, strength, and selflessness. Mothers, soldiers, and Odysseus are all examples of heroes.

A hero is a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, and/or noble qualities. A hero doesn’t have to be a fictional character. Heroes can be found in the real world too. CNN Hero of 2014, Chad Pregracke is known as a hero. This is because he is highly self sacrificing when it comes down to keeping the Earth clean. Odysseus, from the epic poem “The Odyssey”, is known as a hero also. The reasoning behind this is because on his way back home to Ithaca, he overcomes many obstacles and shows many traits while doing this. Chad Pregracke and Odysseus both display a number of heroic qualities.

A hero is someone who puts themselves before others. Heroic acts can range from small gestures to saving countless lives. Heroes are known for their bravery and outstanding achievements. Todd Beamer is a hero because because he was selfless and courageous and will sacrifice himself for others.

He is the hero of the story, but What do you think makes a hero, his loyalty or his bravery? A Hero is someone who is loyal, such as loyal to his country, his family and loyal to his god or gods.

A hero is someone who devotes his or her life to something of noble cause for the well being of others. Jared Padalecki is one person who distinctly illustrates this definition of a hero. Jared Padalecki was diagnosed with depression in 2007, and ever since has devoted his time and energy to encouraging others to fight similar issues. He started a t-shirt campaign in 2015 and donated the proceeds to organizations meant to assist those with mental illnesses. Jared Padalecki never paused his efforts towards assisting those in more compromising positions regarding mental health. Ultimately, Jared Padalecki is heroic because he is inspirational and perseverant.

Since at home,he had a terrible life,it would be thought about that he could have left those kids to die. No he jumped into the face of danger to save younger souls unlike what Darry would have done. And that’s what is called a hero,not just someone who runs around fighting crime in tights. No,that’s a superhero,but a hero would be police,firemen,ambulance,parents,and teachers. So a hero is just someone selfless not selfish.

Connor Franta is a hero. Connor, author of the memoir A Work in Progress could be considered a hero for various reasons. He participates in many activities that save/aid people in need and also has a positive effect on the lives of his fans, therefore a positive impact on the world. As well as that, Connor is very brave. Overall, Connor is most definitely a hero and should receive more recognition than given.

There are many types of heroes (such as the ones in comic books, myths, movies, or even just everyday life heroes) but all of them have perseverance when they’re going through a conflict. Heroes are role models and they’re people that we look up too. They all have unique and special qualities that make one another different from each other. For example policemen battle crime everyday and when they’re overcoming a conflict they have determination, courage and other traits that people admire them for and that make them as a hero. Typically a hero is admired for their achievement/actions and qualities.

When the word "hero" is spoken, everyone has different thoughts. Some will think of super powers like flying and saving people from villains; while others have a certain person they know or have heard of that come to mind who have done something to make a difference in the lives of others but who is a hero to you? To answer this question you must first ask yourself what a hero is; what comes to your mind when someone says the word. When I am confronted with these questions I always have the same thoughts; smart, strong will power, and someone who stands up for what they believe is right.

What defines a hero? A person can be deemed a hero through their characteristics, such as their traits they obtain or the actions they do on a daily basis. I believe a true hero should be able to stand-out and be a role model for everyone who is upon observation of them. A hero does not have to be perfect, but they do have to have a positive influence and set an example for everyone. Conor McGregor displays attributes of bravery, perseverance, and relentlessness, which is why he represents a hero.
