Gospel singer and Perfecting Faith Church pastor Donnie McClurkin has revealed that he was wrong when he recently urged Christians not to protest against U.S. President Donald Trump.
Two weeks ago, Pastor McClurkin said Christians ought to pray for President Trump instead of protesting against him. However, he recently said God told him that he was wrong in what he said, The Christian Post details.
‘God really started talking to me and started showing me that you're totally wrong,” Pastor McClurkin said in a Facebook Live video. “Totally wrong.”
When he appeared on the syndicated radio show Get Up! Mornings With Erica Campbell a couple of weeks ago, McClurkin said people should not get caught up in protests because these activities only stir
Ironically, during his inauguration speech, Trump stated, “ The crowd was unbelievable today...God was looking down on us.” One thing never seems to change is using God as a justification for one’s actions. Sorry, Mr. Trump, God was definitely not on your side. You will be recorded in the history books as one of America’s most infamous leaders.
The Ohioans suffered from low income. So they decided to come together to protest for a change. It is also one out of thirty campaigns being waged around the country. The activist that was involved in the campaign stated that they were following civil rights leader Martin Luther King´s example. They also mentioned that they will participate in non-violent civil disobedience to end racism. ¨It is not ok to let our children go without. It is okay to let the homeless be the answer. We must meditate and pray, we must act, and we must persevere,¨ says Stewart. The Ohio activists say that they will risk arrest if their agenda is not
This quote has massive depth to it. It’s stating why should he pray when all God has done is kill and torture thousands. Another example, “ What are You, my God? I thought angrily. How do You compare to this stricken mass gathered to affirm to You their faith, their anger, their defiance?
Throughout time, there have been diverse religious beliefs that have been taken into account regarding Christianity and God. Although, many pastors have reflected their own beliefs on that matter, one pastor can stand out from the rest. The name is Joel Osteen who became a minister in 2006 in Houston, Texas. His primary focus differed than many others, as he did not focus on the sins or evils that this corrupt world overcomes society with. Instead, he decided to preach about the idea of positive thinking and self-improving. Basically, he believed that individuals in society should focus on themselves, as they take priority over the community as a whole. When individuals immerse themselves in a deep focus on finding their true self, God will
Callarman’s argument from the book “Into the Wild” is that Chris McCandless made a lot of mistakes because he was arrogant and that he had no business going into Alaska with his Romantic silliness and he says that he was just crazy. I disagree with Callarman’s argument because I think that Chris McCandless (Alexander Supertramp) was not arrogant, I think that he just wanted to learn new things. I also disagree because I think that Chris did have a reason to go to Alaska or else he would not have done it even if it just to go because he likes nature, and I don’t think that he was crazy at the beginning but I agree that he did start to get crazy when he was stuck in the wilderness on the bus.
He argues that the government (notably John and Robert Kennedy) got King and other leaders to tone down the protest. He says the government gave the protest its official support, but at the cost of making it a much less confrontational and revolutionary act
Protesting has a positive impact on people’s lives, if people want their voices to be heard, they have to fight
Fellow villagers, you’ve just now watched me make an attack on the person who controls the fate of our lives. I threw the stone at Mr. Summers because of consequential moral reasoning. I believe that it is better, that a corrupt person dies rather than an innocent person. The stone that I threw hit his head; he immediately fell to his death. We have all considered the possibility of Mr. Summers rigging the lottery, and I could no longer hold in my opinion, something had to be done. This lottery is killing innocent children and family members such as tessie. It has been going on for way too long. Stoning is anachronistic, it needs to stop. “Some places have already quit lotteries” (Jackson 56). We need to join them. I do not agree with Old Man
In the novel “To Kill A Mockingbird” By: Harper Lee. Is based off of the life of a little girl around the age of nine, named Jean Louise. People call her Scout though, because growing up with an older brother and no sisters she is more of a “tom boy” than a little girl who loves princesses and dresses. But in this novel there are so many instances where were Maycomb's impressions of people are wrong, and there are about 3 characters in particular that Scout notices people's first impressions are wrong. Tom Robinson, was a character we were introduced mainly in Part 2 of the novel.
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is being hailed by many Christians as a hero, but in reality he “stands against everything that Christianity believes,” according to evangelical author Philip Yancey.
This protest is a perfect example of civil disobedience, and it is clear that voices were heard and opinions illuminated. Recent protests embody the overarching ideas of peaceful protest. Stephen Kaledecker, organizer of the Akron’s anti-trump rally that took place on November 15th, stated that “We don’t want to let hate take over. If we stay silent we’re forgotten. If we keep this up and stay visible it will make a difference” (Cleaveland.com).
Furthermore, in his closing argument, Maher continues to state his arguments from a place of disregard. He asks why no one else know anything about God and states that he’s doesn’t know anything about God. Again, if your
every culture deserves respect. every culture has essence and dross. the scripts stated that Sandler may feel OK about poking fun at other ethnicities because he plays on his own Jewish. However, it does mean other people have to accept this kind of jokes. some people might think it is a joke, other people might think it is insulting. and it is fair to have different opinions. we can not force anybody to agree with you. so the question is, is Sandler wrong? no one can judge him for what you are doing in private as long as it is legal. but Sandler is posting the videos online. It was not just an individual making fun of other culture. It was a movie, a kind of commercial activity. It is improper to earn money by insulting other culture. native
ONE day, while I was in a mall, a total stranger approached me and said, “Brother Bo, I watch your videos. You speak good messages. But are you saved?”
God does not speak to me. Not even on the hill where Christ died. I am outside of God´s grace.
