John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 while he rode in a motorcade through Dealey Plaza.The assassinator,Lee Harvey Oswald killed not just Kennedy but someone by the name of J.D. Tippit. This topic is important because some people say that he was the greatest president the united states ever had cause of all the things that benefited americans and all the things to do with civil rights, while others say that he was the worst because of all of the bad things that happened during his time as president.He also thought that peace was the most important thing to maintain during his time as president. The Assassination of JFK was unjust because he was a civil rights activist.”Afterwards the president met with civil rights leaders in the oval office, and among other things, emphasized the difficulties he faced getting a civil rights bill through a congress dominated by conservative southern committee chairmen”(Grier p.19).This shows how much JFK went through to get a civil rights act passed.
