Hear hear Comrades! It is time we all come to appreciate the great and mighty leader who is none other than Napoleon! Sure you can moan and belly-ache about the amount of work that has had to be done to keep the farm from going bankrupt and remain prospering, but it is he Napoleon who has truly made it prosperous with his grand leadership. Why without him we would still be in the villainous clutches of man, and not just any man - the wretched Mr. Jones. That’s right, without Napoleon’s great leadership we’d all still be trapped in a vicious food chain of labour and superiors, where Jones is always at the top, and we the animals are always stuck at the bottom. “Four legs good, and two legs bad” we the sheep always say, and it’s true. As
Napoleon Bonaparte was a great leader until he took his power too far. He helped France get out of their debt and also won multiple territories from winning wars. He continued to strengthen France with his great leadership and military strategies. Eventually, though, he began to abuse his power. He proceeded through a war, without forfeit and experienced a great defeat. During his time of power Napoleon was a paradox. Napoleon’s fall from being a great leader taught us that, sometimes when people get too used to having so much power and authority, they may abuse their powers to a large extent.
In the late 1760s, a heroic figure was born. On August fifteenth in the year of 1769, a male baby was then a face upon this earth. Of course, this male was not heroic in his toddler years, but as he grew, he conquered many goals of his. This male baby came to be known as one of the greatest military leaders to be known; this baby was none other than the great Napoleon Bonaparte.
Napoleon Bonaparte, an influential leader of France, was a man of many facets. On one the one hand, Napoleon was a strong leader who created durable institutions and strengthened France, but on the other, there is a more pitiful view of Napoleon. The view of Napoleon was initially very positive: he viewed himself as a protector of the people, and the people saw this too; however, over time, this image was greatly worsened, due to military hardship.
As he wasn’t in the story till the last and the condemnation Napoleon kept on him couldn’t be proved therefore he can be considered a good leader by far.
If you build an army of 100 lions and their leader is a dog , they will die like a dog. But if you build an army of 100 dogs and their leader is a lion they will fight like a lion.”- Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon Bonaparte was was an arrogant man that made himself an emperor in France. Before this France was very unorganized. Some people question if he was a hero or tyrant, in my opinion he was a hero. He may have done some questionable things but I believe they were for his country's best interest.
Napoleon was able to control the countries neighboring the French empire with his significant military resources. Napoleons military was so good that they won almost every battle they fought in. With their amazing military they started controlling the countries that they won battles against. Their military got so good because the military had money. Napoleon tried to make money when he gained power of the sugar producing colony of Saint Dominique. When that ended up failing he had to figure out a new way to make money. They got money by selling the Louisiana territory to the United States in 1803 for $15 million.
Napoleon may have been the greatest general of all time, however he failed as an Emperor. As a youth he displayed natural abilities and a work ethic that allowed him to quickly achieve notoriety and a very high military rank. He was unarguably a great military strategist who won decisive victories thought out most of his military career. His intelligence and charm gained him loyalties and personal success during a uniquely historical and political time period in France. Napoleon had inherited his army and politics of his military station making the most of circumstances without the ability to build or create anything lasting himself. He did have an instinctive genius which is very different than being a professional. The same personality and
To many historians and society, Napoleon Bonaparte is hailed as a powerful and successful emperor due to the vast amount of territories he conquered during his reign and the restoration of France’s economy. Despite these “successes”, Napoleon was actually inimical for France. He not only lost numerous battles that weakened France over time, but created numerous policies that made France less powerful than other nations and even betrayed the fundamental principles that the revolution was based on.
For someone so short in stature, Napoleon Bonaparte’s accomplishments and life story are gigantic in comparison. Even though some of Napoleon’s actions were autocratic, his ability to move his country forward was incredible. There are more books written about Napoleon than any other historical figure in the world; more than Julius Caesar, Muhammad, and even Jesus Christ. (Markham) Napoleon came to power at a perfect opportunistic time because France was in need of a new ruler to guide their country after the French Revolution, and Napoleon was believed to be a “man of the people”. Many ideas and goals from the French Revolution became a part of Napoleon’s reign. Prior to becoming the leader of France, he also served as a fierce and focused
France’s rulers had a bad habit of either giving in to the people and being a weak ruler or being a harsh dictator that did not regard the people's feelings. Napoleon changed this he managed to please all of the social classes while still holding his power high. For peasants, Napoleon made sure that they could keep their land by eradicating Feudalism. He restored the Catholic Church to its former importance through the Concordat, and the peasants no longer had to pay tithes. For the Nobles, Napoleon offered ‘king-like’ stability. He created titles for some people, though these new nobles had no special privileges. Napoleon tried to reward talented and hardworking people by setting up the legion of Honor in 1802. It is still one of the highest honors you can receive in France today. Napoleon as a strong leader finally got to control the people which was
Napoleon Bonaparte rose from unremarkable early years to become Emperor of France. He was born in the Age of Reason, and his family life, education, and military service provided him with broad exposure to these new ideas. As the Frenc Revolution began to gain momentum in the 1780s, Napoleon was a little-known figure. How did this relatively unknown military officer become the leader of France? The answer to this question lies in the intersection of person, place, and
My opinion is that Napoleon Bonaparte was the creator of his times. Going to military school at a young age and becoming a lieutenant so soon was part of what help make him a creator. He was a leader from the very beginning and he was successful with most of the tasks handed to him. When things started going down hill with the French people, Napoleon took power and started to fix these things. His first goal was to better the economy. He wanted to make sure the economy would last and be successful. To accomplish that he did many things, a couple were making sure the government would keep having enough money and started a new banking system. Napoleon also created
Napoleon the first was born 1769 to 1821 and in during his time I personally believe that Napoleon was a good, efficient and brilliant leader. He had accomplished many aspects of a better France when he was at power. Napoleon had ended the french revolution, invaded Egypt, improved administration and developed education in Paris.
In the novel “Animal Farm” we see the effects of what someone’s leadership can do to all of the animals in the farm. Throughout the novel we see the conditions of the farm under Jones’s rule and also in Napoleon’s rule. Readers can agree that both were not exactly good at treating their animals the right way. Nonetheless both of their leadership have similarities and difference between them and are evident throughout the novel. The similarities between Jones and Napoleon is pretty much almost the same.
It is evident that Napoleon has become corrupt since he was looking to be more powerful or supreme then the rest, causing the start of this unequal society. Napoleon used many ways to ensure that all animals were under his power such as censorship, propaganda, lying and creating a scapegoat. He used these effectively at first but with the more power he got the worse he handled it leading the farm to its corrupted and ruined
