I read the book "The five people you meet in heaven". Have you ever thought of who you will see when you go to heaven, or who you may meet? This book not only shares the five people you meet in heaven, but also the reasons behind them. The idea of this book is to show how someone may not know how they effect someone elses life. For instance, the blue man in the book gets in a car crash eddie had no idea he'd caused, or the little girl eddie meets in the end he had no idea he bombed in war. You may have an impact on more people than you think, and this book is trying not only to give you hope for your future, but teaching you a lesson. When I read this book I took away my selfishness of not thinking that I could impact someones life so much,
Differences and Similarities of The five people you meet in heaven by Mitch Albom. This section of the story that we read was about the main character Eddie. He died and is now in Heaven going on with his journey. He meets 5 people, but the second person was his caption from when he was in the war. He got to see how everything happened, with the caption and why things went the way they did. Some differences from the book and movie are in the book Eddie looked at a dog tag with the name on it, but instead in the movie he looked at a helment with the name on it. Another difference was in the old in the movie even though in the book he was young, like he was in the war. Some similarities between two are that his second person is the caption. Another

The novel The Five People You Meet in Heaven, by Mitch Albom, I believe is an accurate representation of life. Expressing the theme of the impossibility of perfection, by revealing not even heaven is perfect, due to mankind’s trend to want more than what is given. In reading this novel, I felt the theme was truly something which I could link to my personal life, as I have always wanted more than what is possible.
The Five People you Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom was many similarities and some differences between the movie and book. This book is about a man who dies thinking that he has done nothing to impact the lives of people. Little does he know there is five people waiting in heaven to tell him that he did help. Three of the many similarities is that in both the movie and the book Eddie runs into his helmet and rifle from when he was in the war. Also in both he runs into the fire thinking that there is someone in there. The last similarity that I am going to share with you is that like in the book the movie has the captain blowing up. Now there are some differences between the book and the movie. One is that in the movie that had little clips from
Eddie the matenience man of Ruby Pier carnival seems like just typical old man, who struggles with the idea that he never lived up to his potential. However, after he dies, he is able to see his life through a different perspective, one of eternity, and realizes how unique and important his life has been. This closely echoes the truth found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church which says that only in heaven with Christ will we find our true identity and meaning of life. 1 Death is only the beginning for Eddie and his journey through the five “heavens” of people that his life has impacted demonstrates how intricately woven together every humanity is. As pilgrims, our view of suffering and day to day actions constricts our ability to see how God truly weaves human messiness together to create a beautiful tale of redemption. So, we must live for the destination, not for the journey, leaning on hope instead of complete understanding.
For example, Cahalan worte the book because she wanted it to inform others about her rare disease and the common/ old tests that many doctors forgot about to test for rare diseases like hers. The first third of her book influenced the way I view the book and the rest of the world because I find what I can do in the world and learn ways that I can help the less fortunate. I have learned that there are people who live in this world today that are always in and out of the hospital and that is their daily routine and all they know. It is a hard routine to watch and feel helpless about the kid who has had to live their life like that. Cahalan wrote every day how she felt and what she was going through every day in and out and I felt remorse for her because she did not know what was happening and wanted to help others with her story. I infer that Cahalan wanted the best for every person and wanted to find out what happened herself during the time she did not remeber and wants to know what trouble she caused and how she can fix every thing. She wanted the best for everyo one and every one wanted the best for her because she was the one that was in the hospital and she did not know what was happening with her body or mind and just wanted every thing resolved. Cahalan gave us the escape from our world into her world of

On one sunny day, I was helping my mom doing chores when she pulled me over to talk to me about something important. I was confused why my mom would want to me about something important, but I listened to what she said and followed her. What she told me was what her life was like back in Vietnam. She did not have much of an education. Instead, she stayed home with her mom to sell Vietnamese yogurt every day for a living. Since I was born in America, I never thought of life was like for others in developing countries like Vietnam. Hearing from my mom's experience, it stuck with me. I learned the importance of being grateful for what I have since they are a lot of people who do not have what we have in America and it made me want to help those who are in need. I was also inspired to do whatever I

In my lifetime, many experiences have changed my character, with the most memorable being the mission trip I took to Parmelee, South Dakota. This endeavor showed me how to be caring and love everyone, despite their circumstances. Although it took time, I learned to show kindness to everyone and not just the people I feel comfortable around. During my missions work, one child revealed to me how to be compassionate to people who may not deserve it, and to give to other unconditionally.
After I was done reading “Why Are Your Clothes So Cheap?” I started feeling bad for the people who make our nice clothes. This made me want to go help them out, but at the same time not. The kids that work at the factories have to drop out just so they have money to support their families. If I had to do that I would not be happy, because of what I want to be when I grow up. But when I found out that there are people studying the factories it made me feel better, because people are actually caring for the people who work long hours with low pay. It inspired me to step up and help the people in those factories that work with horrible conditions. Help the have better safety hazards and make sure they work for a good pay.
The Five People You Meet In Heaven, by Mitch Albom is an explanation of life, starting with death. In this story, Albom starts when life ends, and this has plenty of symbolism once analysed further. In many ways, Death can teach the greatest lesson: Life. Death teaches us our purpose on Earth, it signifies the effect that our lives had on people around us, but more importantly, Death leaves behind a hole that cannot be filled. In Five People, Albom conveys this wonderfully, combining a myriad of different lessons that showed Eddie his purpose on Earth. Many times, his life was changed by somebody else, and at the same time, he changed many lives. Each lesson that is described signifies an important part of his life, and they all come together into the vast melting pot of life, like a jigsaw puzzle to explain Eddie’s life. These lessons are effective mainly through their rhetoric, but also through the message behind them. Eddie learnt his final lessons in life’s greatest classroom: Heaven.
