Why Was World War II A Continuation Of WWI

World War II began in 1939 and ended in 1945. This war killed more people and destroyed more property than any other war with fifty-nine countries being involved in(2). Pearl Harbor, the first sneak attack by another country on US soil was a pivotal beginning to the war for the United States. There were many reasons for the United States to get involved into the war and help its allies, but it was Pearl Harbor which forced us into it. Because of Pearl Harbor, Hitler and the crimes against humanity that he committed it justified United States entry into the war.

World War I and World War II were known as the two largest military conflicts in history. Many countries went to war and many lives were lost. Both wars consisted of many different alliances between different countries involved in whichever war.

World War I was caused by the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand of Austria in June 1914. However, World War II was caused by the political and economic instability in Germany, along with the bad conditions of the Treaty of Versailles . I believe that World War II was a continuation of World War I because of some not resolved issues. Hitler violated the Treaty of Versailles by expanding the military and invading Poland. One of the events that led to the beginning of World War 1 was: Militarism, Alliances, Imperialism, and Nationalism; which stands for MAIN. Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia but they then joined up with Russia. After, Germany declared war on Russia which caused the war to expand. World War I ended in 1918 when Germany surrendered. It also had a great impact on European countries after it ended.

One could make the argument WW 2 was a continuation of WW1. World War 2 occurred twenty years after World War 1. WW 1 left causes leading to WW 2, like, Treaty of Versailles and the search for thorough ideas, such as Fascism, communism and militarism. It was due to the terrible conditions of different countries after the wars. I think that World War II was a continuation of World War I.

World war II could not have been prevented because it wasn't just two countries fighting. There were a lot of countries and states that were fighting for freedom. We could have prevented it if we were all nicer people but someone chose to hate on the way things worked so they declared war. If WWII was prevented we wouldn't have lost loved ones that were fighting for our country and fought for our freedom. WWII could have been prevented if other countries weren't included in WWII. If they weren't included we would have stopped the war because we didn't want to have the war. U.S involvement in ww2 was similar yet different that in ww1. America’s entrance into ww1 was not justified and America’s entrance into ww2 was. Different military tactics and weapons were used during the wars as well. However we entered both wars after they began, took the side of the allies and played a key role.

The two wars can not be known as one war because they had differing causes. Although the second world war could have been avoided if the the first ended on better terms, but that is not a good enough reason to combine the two wars because the more prominent cause of World War II is not related to World War I.

World War II is something of a continuation of World War I, as unresolved issues showed their heads once more, in addition to the Treaty of Versailles being broken. World War I included Britain, France, Russia, Italy, and the United States, against Germany, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria. Similarly, World War 2 included Britain, France, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, India, China, and the United States against Germany, Italy, and Japan. The two wars have many countries in common, among many other similarities. The Treaty of Versailles was one of peace what was instated at the end of World War I. Signed on 28 Junie 1919, the treaty required that Germany relinquished Belgium, Czechoslovakia, and Poland.

As a result of World War I, Germany was forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles, made to pay for the war, and had to disarm themselves, which directly led into World War II. Germany went down the tubes after they were forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles. There economy crashed and there money had just about no value. Many people that World War II was just a 20 year break from World War I. They were right because just about 20 years later World War II started. There are many things that could contribute to starting the war but these are the main point and the most recognized.

World War II has been considered one of the worst things to ever occur in history. Violence, death and aggression took place in the 1930s and 1940s in certain European nations. German leader, Hitler played an important, yet a very big role during this time. With the rise and domination of fascism in Germany and Italy, the goal was to maintain peace, established by the Treaty of Versailles ended up in major disaster. World War II began with the poor economic conditions in Europe after World War I and the confrontation of clashing forms of governments and in the end it brought about positive and negative changes of the world. World War II began on September 1st, 1939 when Germany invaded Poland; this invasion led to the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor, The Great Depression, and the Holocaust.
