Why Would People Pay Children To Go To School?

Do you think secondary kids should get paid for going to school. I think they should because they could save it for college. Almost 62 percent of high school students can’t afford to go to college. If they got paid they would keep up their grades so they could get extra money. But you. Also have to be careful because they may use it for drugs or alcohol.

It is a bitter,cold February evening, my wife and I are eating at the local McDonalds. The smell of the hamburgers and french fries surround us. Why are we eating here instead of eating at a real restaurant? I’m broke, and it’s all because I’m paying for kids that aren’t mine to get a good education. I believe I shouldn’t be forced to pay for school funding because I don’t even have a child!! I feel it is unfair because, it doesn't’ benefit me, the money isn’t going to good schools , and schools may be using this money for things that will not continue to help other students as well.

Kids nowadays, always talk about how they're going to drop out and how they don't care at all. Students, On the other hand, are not taking the initiative needed to work hard and figure it out on their own. Why do students never have money? It is a privilege being a student in the United States because the amount of money necessary to pay all the expenses inside and outside of school is insanely high. According to the presentation made by Greg Gottesman of school loans in TEDx, it costs around three-million-dollars of student loans per year. Most students are not in a position to pay that amount of money; and as a consequence, they drown in debt for the rest of their lives. However, student expenses and its solutions can be classified in three different fields: necessities, auto expenses, and class expenses.

Parents what if you paid your children for doing well in school? If you paid your kids for getting good grades it will make students actually work harder and listen more if they know they are getting rewarded. Kids should get paid for good grades because, it gives them a chance to understand money and how it works, they can save that money up and won’t have to ask you for money all the time, wouldn’t that be nice, and finally it causes them to do well in school.

The boy walks up to the main office door. He searches for where usually a list of clubs is posted on the wall around the perimeter of the double doors. In most cases schooling is free, but books, transportation, and uniforms cost extra. Most families have a hard time paying for those expenses and find it easier for their child to drop out and get a job. As parker says in her essay that she ended up quitting school and working at several different jobs, but never long enough to develop skills (117). This resulted in her only making $78 a month once she was older. A person simply cannot raise a family on that income. If they pay the kids that are only going to college, that is just another way the push kids to go to college. In high school, it could make the kids life easier. For example, maybe that poor kid is smart but his family doesn’t have much money. If he was making money for having good grades

When it comes to education, it is one of the most essential pieces to having a successful life in today’s society. And for this reason, there are a large percentage of emphasis placed on schools for this reason alone. In society, people feel that school and education should be taken advantage of and every child should attend school daily with no excuses. It’s a known fact that students who miss consecutive days out of school, tends to fall back in grades as well as learning the classwork at hand. County government, state government, and the federal government has made laws for states all around the globe pertaining to the number of days students should miss school within a school year’s time. In Tucson, the Amphitheater High School pays their students twenty-five dollars for anyone who has a C-average. This showed that the students worked harder to get higher grades and less students missed school (“Performance Pay”). The Job Foundation in Waterloo, Iowa, pays students for their good grades, and has shown great improvement in grades and attendance. Reports from the students say that this makes them push themselves to become a better students and get better grades (“Program Pays Students…”). If the students know they will get something positive out of working hard, they tend to try their best to get good grades. Money. Who doesn’t love money? This question is asked very often. In some schools, like Charter schools in California, students are actually getting paid based on good behavior and good attendance. These kids are not learning as well as they used to because they are getting paid. “Other critics note that students’ internal drive to learn may be sapped as they focus on getting an external reward.” (Jackson 2014) This topic is excruciatingly important because these students’ who are getting paid may be abusing the money and using it for bad stuff like drugs and alcohol. Students should not get paid to go to school because they will focus less on academics and will take easier classes just to get easy money.

In today’s world it Doesn’t matter how strong, handsome, or perfect you are, to have an influence intelligence and wisdom is todays individual currency. In Walt Gardner’s article he defends the teachers in the U.S.A’s education system through facts and informing the people of the flaws in the system. In every state of America the teachers are held accountable for the education of each of their students. I strongly disagree with this policy as you can lead a horse to water but you can’t force it to drink. Learning “is a two-way street between teachers and students” (Gardner, “What About Student Accountability”) that must be known as a mutual relationship of respect for education. In today’s society students of America take knowledge for granted and under value its importance, a foolish mistake, as teachers strive to give their students the reins of the road ahead many would rather entertain their friends and socialize. Americas education system is wrong and proven wrong through international testing scores, as other country’s hold the student and teacher accountable for the students education, Americas system falls behind in the books due to the policy restraining a student’s full potential. As Americans we must come together and face that we are wrong, as our education system fails us on a daily basis, to achieve greatness that we once had, to regain the ground that we have lost we must alter are education system and hold both students and teachers

Despite the fact that education in this country is virtually free, there are a number of people who do not complete for one reason or another. Compulsory education laws require children to attend a public or state-accredited private school for a certain period of time. Normally, children begin pre-school at age 4 and start grade school at age 6 and remain enrolled until they are at least 16. One of the main reasons for the law was to increase literacy and reduce child labor because at this at 16 the student should be able to/read and write or even work to earn money. However, there are many children who drop out of school at this age who cannot read and write, do basic mathematics or even speak good English. For this reason, they cannot even work. They end up on the streets and become nuisance to society. I conducted an interview with 10 children between the ages of 16 and 18 years Norfolk, Virginia to find out about why they dropped out of school and what they are presently doing with their lives. The findings were so interesting. Almost all 10 knew about the state law (Code of Virginia § 22.1-254). that require every child between the ages of 5 to 17 to attend school. You really don’t need anything too expensive and upgraded. In high school, you mostly just use services like Google Drive and Gmail to do your daily business. Unless you plan on using it after school for gaming or whatever else, the bare minimum is required.
