Many authors have had a lasting impact because of their literary work. During the Elizabethan time period, William Shakespeare began his remarkable career as a playwright changing/impacting blank. William Shakespeare’s life and work transcends time because of their relative relatability.

William Shakespeare’s childhood was privileged in some ways. In “William Shakespeare; Life of Drama,” a documentary produced by by Rod Caird, Shakespeare was christened on April 26th in the year 1564. According to the website “Shakespeare of Stratford” published by Mabillard, Shakespeare was enrolled in school at either six or seven years of age. In the article, “William Shakespeare” Published by Gale, Shakespeare was born in and lived during the Elizabethan age. Shakespeare was inspired by attending an annual festival as a young child (Caird). Shakespeare learned to speak Latin and English when he was in school (Mabillard). Shakespeare’s grandparents owned land, a status symbol in that time (Gale 1). Shakespeare’s family was of relatively high status, which granted him the opportunity to attend school (Caird). Shakespeare had to leave school as a teenager because of his familial issues (Mabillard). Shakespeare was well off and well educated in his adolescence. Shakespeare’s life changed as he aged.

Shakespeare’s adult life was mostly family-oriented. Shakespeare got married to Anne Hathaway at age eighteen (Caird). Shakespeare’s wife was several years older than him (Mabillard).
