One cold night during our school winter break, me and my family were talking about going to california. We had this planned out already but then had to cancel the plans, but that same night we just said screw it and started to pack our clothes and accessories into our automobile. We had the route that we were going to take planned out so we just started to drive. We drove from nine at night until like 7 in the morning the next day until we came to a rest stop. Once we got back on the road i took pictures of the signs that say “Welcome to Utah” or other greetings. I mostly enjoyed driving thru the colorado mountains. I was worried about sliding off the road or crashing into other vehicles. The weather was bad to the point where the windshield …show more content…
They haven’t seen me in like twelve years. They were surprised when they saw me and made my aunt cry. We talked for a bit but we went to sleep since it was really late and we were tired. Once we woke up we finally got to know each other better. My uncle started to grill while my mom helped my aunt out with cooking the side dishes. When the food was almost done cooking my other aunt and uncle came from Oxnard, California. I didn’t know them that well until we started to conversate. I found out they had a son and he’s only one year younger than me. When we all finished eating i was asked if i wanted to stay the night at my cousin’s house named Charlie, i’ve never met him before so I thought this would be a good time to get to know …show more content…
When we arrived to the beach it was a hot day so i quickly ran out of the car and sprinted to the beach to cool off. I had fun swimming and just chillin with my fam. After we were tired of being out in the hot weather we took some pictures at the beach and then left to go back to my uncle’s house. Once we got back we all took showers and got ready to go out and grab some lunch. Once we ate and took care of some clothes shopping, we headed to a different uncle’s house. Once we arrived there, I met five other aunt’s that i didn’t even know about and met like eight uncle’s that i didn’t remember but they all told me they remember me from when i was three years old. I also met some more cousins but they were all younger than me. Once it was getting dark out, the guys started to drink and started to grill while the ladies started to cook the food that needed to be cooked on top of the stove or that needed to be baked in the oven. Around nine my whole family and I started to eat around a bonfire and the adults would tell stories about me and how little I used to be. It was interesting hearing some things they remember about me but it was soon going to be midnight. At eleven something we were all inside the house just waiting for it to be midnight while drinking hot cocoa. Once the night was over I stayed up a little bit longer talking to a special friend of mine about how my visit was
They had seen videos the orphanage had sent us and the letters about us but it was better to see us in person. They were so amazing on how we were mini mes of my mom and dad. My mom and I both had red hair, brown eyes, freckles, and fair skin. My brother had the blond hair and blue eyes like my dad. It was crazy how similar we look. My parents didn’t even get to pick us out of a photo box, the ladies at the orphanage sent our photos and said here are your kids. Me and my brother were passed around to each new family member and I remember that my aunt had gotten me a Winnie-the-pooh bear that I loved. I carried that around with me everywhere I went. The family stayed for hours that days playing with us and getting to know us. My brother and I played with all of the toys that the family had gotten us. Our favorite toy was the toy box that had a sliding door and we used to sit in it together. We also ran around the house screaming and yelling, having a good
This was the moment that I have been waiting for since the beginning of my senior year. I couldn’t wait to leave cold Michigan for spring break. There was no way that I wasn’t going to Panama City Beach, Florida this year. I heard so many stories from past seniors in my school. This had me watching to go so bad that I made a countdown of how many days I had left until spring break. It was like Las Vegas but just for kids, so what happens in PCB, stays in PCB. This was the place where you would go to create the best memories of your life with your friends before everybody goes their separate ways after high school.
I had a good and fun spring break, and I bet it was way better than yours. On Saturday, I went to my moms friends house and had a big Easter Egg Hunt. They had a lot of food and eggs and I got a whole gallon size bag of candy. My cousins(who live in Indio) came to my house and stayed for 3 days, and we had the best time. We played in our trampoline, rode our scooters, played soccer and basketball, and made up this super fun game, that you have to ride around the track in our backyard, and one person had to try to hit you with a Stomp Rocket, and you had to try to dodge it.
This spring break I went to the Poconos in Pennsylvania, I did a lot of fun stuff, but what excited me the most was skiing, skiing was the most difficult thing I have done in a long time, we went to the Shawnee ski resort, and over there we rented out some skiing gear and went skiing, the first time I tried moving I fell right after, once I figured out how to move, I went up the beginners mountain and threw myself down for the first time, I was very scared when I first skiied down the beginners mountain, I did not fall, after a couple of times of skiing down I thought I was ready for the experts course. After I decided I was ready, I went to the chairlift, and the lift escalated real quick before I knew it I was about 50 feet above the ground
My family got really excited because we haven't seen them in about 8 years. but my cousins on the other hand have already seen them about a month ago because my cousins from Virginia visited them while they were at Colombia for vacation. We had a blast at Coco Beach. We found turtles, crabs, and starfish while we were swimming in the ocean. Me personally didn't like the trip to the beach because while I was drying off horseflies were attacking us so we had to run back to the car. When we arrived back to the house we ate pizza and while we were eating pizza we heard a knock on the door. We thought it was someone trying to get in the house but when we looked out the window it was our cousins from Virginia. My cousin Kendra and Sarah forgot who I was so we had to refresh their memory. On the other hand my other cousins ( Sandra and Kenny) remembered who I was. The last time I saw them was when I was about 3 years of
I was incredibly excited for spring break; I could already see myself laying on the beach, jamming in the car with my friends and having fun. I was far from what I’ve really lived.
It was Spring Break and our last year of living overseas so we wanted to make the best of it and go to some places we probably not have the opportunity to go to again. We chose an Eastern Mediterranean cruise. The primary thing that made this trip so unforgettable was my grandparents who I hadn’t seen in 6 years came from Iowa to join us on our vacation. Some of the places it went to were Italy, Greece, and Turkey.
Ever taken a long stroll on a beach, listened to the splashing of the deep blue sea, seen the wonderful flora and fauna which lie on the beach, and suddenly, you trip and fall over some rubbish? Pollution takes away all the beauty of our beaches. I hate to go to the beaches on weekends and see trash bags lying on the sand, cigarette butts buried in the sand, and soda cans floating in the ocean.
Everyone did something divergent this spring break. Therefore, I contemplate this mini vacation has been the first in five years I’ve done exciting things.
My Christmas break started off rough but, it got better as the days moved on.
During my Summer Break, I went to Tennessee with my family, brother in law, and my brother in laws and sister’s friend John. We decided to stop at a hotel for the night, in Kentucky, and to drive the rest of the way in the morning.
Since I was young, I have always had a busy schedule. With school and two sports, I rarely have quality time with my family. But all that changes when summer break rolls around, and my family goes on adventurous trips. On every single trip my family and I have had a great bonding experience and it gets better each year. Every summer has been exciting and has led me to travel to all 50 states. All of these experiences have helped me to appreciate and bond with my family.
March is a special time in every college student’s life. For two short weeks every spring we are given a break from all of our school-related responsibilities with the hope of tapping into our parent’s bank accounts for the trip of a lifetime before we are financially cut-off and sent into the “real world” following college graduation in a few short years. A spring break trip must be planned far in advance in order to get the best deals on flights, resorts, hotels, etc. before everything books up. Within the next few weeks to a month, I will be negotiating with my parents on where I will travel to for spring break, hoping for a 5-day Carnival cruise. I know my parents may not agree to this, but I plan on using some of the strategies and tactics
This winter break my family and I went to visit my Aunt and Uncle empty nesters. The twelve hour drive included passing through Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and then Georgia. The drive is always miserable but since technology is a life saver so the ride isnt miserable.I spent most of the holiday break with my boy Hudson Gregg. I spent a lot of time with him because he’s my brother separated at birth. He’s about as tall as me, weighs about fifty pounds lighter than me, a similar hairstyle as me, and a lighter skin tone. Also Hudson some pretty sexy teeth, so we practically the same person overal he a really awesome person to talk to. Hudson probably the best listener in the entire world. He doesn't doze off or anything he also has
The season of winter has begun. The sky was dark and the ground was bright. During this time of the season, we usually stay home and some people go out for hunting. When I woke up on the first day of winter morning I wore my skirt and cape that was made out of yellow cedar bark to keep myself warm. Afterward, I helped my mom prepare food for breakfast that was served on wooden platters and trays. The food we had for breakfast was dry fish that were caught from summer. After breakfast, I mostly spent the day making and repairing tools that will be used for the
