Winter Break Research Paper

For a college student, there’s no feeling quite like the joy of heading home for Thanksgiving break (1-Archetypes). Sure, Christmas break is longer and definitely has more presents, but Thanksgiving break is at just the perfect time in the middle of the semester; right before the chaos of finals and right when the agony of missing home is starting to become unbearable. I definitely felt this way during my first semester away from home. The days leading up to the break were full of exciting jitters and anticipation. Finally, just a day before classes officially let out for the break, my mom and brother pulled up to my dorm after their nine-hour drive to Alpine, Texas, ready to pack me up and haul me back to Houston.

My 2018 Spring Break was better than usual and began with a great start. For this Spring Break, I went on a Road Trip to visit different college campuses on the northern side of California, a place I had never been to. I went with my program called, LACC Upward Bound that included 34 other students. I did not attend this trip alone and this was great because my friends got to come along on this great experience with me. Arriving to Northern California took about 4- 5 hours and during this drive I took this picture. It is so different from Los Angeles, everything is much greener, beautiful and natural. Imagine coming home from school to a car fully packed waiting to go to Fort Walton, Florida. Well that's what I came home to on the last day until Spring Break. We will be going to the beach, swimming, fishing,and more when we get there! I was so excited to leave. The car drive was estimated to be only 10 hours. But on the way a lot of other people had the same idea as us on our trip. Traffic was bad on the way down. There were lots of crashes. Believe it or not there was a backup that was like 4 miles. The cars were bumper to bumper and and it was getting late. In about 30 minutes we got about 1 mile. It was awful! With the bumper to bumper traffic there was another crash. That delayed us about 30 more minutes. We all got grumpy because we

My life was great over spring break. It started with my sister turning 15 on March 10 we decorated her room, then we made her pancakes shaped like the number 15. Later that night we all went out to eat at a fancy restaurant named the cheesecake factory it was some good cheesecake. Then my friend Aidan and I had a sleepover, we played outside went to the park with our other friends like eden,cooper,gressa and olivia. The next day of spring break aidan aj and I hung out for a while. About 1:00 me and aj went golfing with our dads at canyon farms. I felt the sun shining on me, I heard the birds singing it was just a beautiful day of golfing, we played about 9 holes.

What did I do over winter break? I did so many fun things these past two weeks. I went to the mall with my friend, then he came over to my house, and he gave me a Christmas present.

Spring break was for an adventure for me. I did lots of stuff from playing games and watching netflix to camping and exploring. On my first few days of spring break, I just slept in and watched netflix. I personally liked how it started out, i wasn't waking up tired and i was at full power when i woke up. The shows i watched on netflix where walking dead and the OA. Later on in the break i decided to rewatch all the Harry Potter movies and that was one of my favorite part of the break. It took me about 2 to 3 days to watch all 8 movies. After Harry Potter I watched other movies but i mostly Played games like Rocket League and Fortnite. On the last week of spring break i planed last minute camping and sleeping over with my friends in the backyard.

For spring break, I went to the airshow and we brought out the family to go and see it. My family and I enjoyed seeing the air show that day. I also went out many times and walked my dog, which was pretty relaxing and went out for a jog. My other family came over and hung out a few times to be together and made food as well. I had track practice a few times and made me more active and felt better about myself, it was tiring but it was a great way to start my day on a daily basis. I had some of my spare time and got to draw many drawings over spring break because it’s what I like doing the most. Meanwhile my parents would work, I would have to babysit my two younger siblings and they were a pain sometimes but I would find a way to calm them

This was the moment that I have been waiting for since the beginning of my senior year. I couldn’t wait to leave cold Michigan for spring break. There was no way that I wasn’t going to Panama City Beach, Florida this year. I heard so many stories from past seniors in my school. This had me watching to go so bad that I made a countdown of how many days I had left until spring break. It was like Las Vegas but just for kids, so what happens in PCB, stays in PCB. This was the place where you would go to create the best memories of your life with your friends before everybody goes their separate ways after high school.

This spring break I went to the Poconos in Pennsylvania, I did a lot of fun stuff, but what excited me the most was skiing, skiing was the most difficult thing I have done in a long time, we went to the Shawnee ski resort, and over there we rented out some skiing gear and went skiing, the first time I tried moving I fell right after, once I figured out how to move, I went up the beginners mountain and threw myself down for the first time, I was very scared when I first skiied down the beginners mountain, I did not fall, after a couple of times of skiing down I thought I was ready for the experts course. After I decided I was ready, I went to the chairlift, and the lift escalated real quick before I knew it I was about 50 feet above the ground

One of the reasons i disliked my spring break is because my mother was sick. For example,on tuesday the second day of the holiday my mom didn't feel good she couldn't get out of bed whitout her feeling like the room was spinning. Therefor, she didn't get out of bed unless neccesary. This effected me because i had to do the cleaning all over the house. Futhermore i had to also makefood for us. The result was that eventually she went to the doctor because she couldn't stand it, and was notified that she had the flue. In conclusion i had to stay home with my mom to help her, and keep the house clean.

I had a great summer break. I did a whole bunch of fun things over summer break. I traveled to cedar point we rode all the rides there. We climbed on another ride till there was no more rides. We almost rode them twice it was so much fun to go to cedar point. Then we played games where you can win stuffed animals and toys. They had a place where you can buy food and drinks. We left at elven o clock didn’t get home till twelve o clock at night. Next as soon as I got home we went to bed. I will go all the time we will travel to cedar point. I am going to go next summer to when we get off again. We also went on a train to look around at cedar point. My sister and I rode all of the rides. My mom and dad didn’t ride all of them they just watched

Spring Break is a week in the middle of the second semester term for high school and college students to take a break. For some during this break they enjoy partying, going to the beach, or going on a cruise. Others like to spend time with their family and go on a vacation. I for one enjoy getting the time with my family and friends and not have to worry about what assignments that are due the next day. This year for spring break my family and I went on a three day vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

My cousin Walker and I attended the great spring break tradition in Ft. Lauderdale. If I had to explain spring break to another person, I would tell them. It’s one week out of the year where you get to live a fantasy. Thousands of college kids get together to party and take a break from being a student. Students need a stress free week with no worries about grades, studying and finances. We are almost full adults and this will be one of the last times we get to rebel as youth. Walker and I were both minors but our goal was to be with all the kids when it came to the night life after everyone on the beaches were gone. I did not know how I was going to get into a nightclub, but I was not going to let my age from stoping me. The task before us seemed problematic, but you can’t be afraid to fail.

The weeks between Thanksgiving and winter break can make or break a student's semester grades. And for college freshmen, this period may be the first-time students experience final exams or projects, when it's already easy to get distracted with the holidays right around the corner. Your grade in a class has the potential to change significantly in the last few weeks of the semester. Here are some tips for acing finals (and doing well in the weeks prior):

Ever taken a long stroll on a beach, listened to the splashing of the deep blue sea, seen the wonderful flora and fauna which lie on the beach, and suddenly, you trip and fall over some rubbish? Pollution takes away all the beauty of our beaches. I hate to go to the beaches on weekends and see trash bags lying on the sand, cigarette butts buried in the sand, and soda cans floating in the ocean.
