Several students have been chosen to chaperone the annual spring break games. A festive event for kids at the local camp ground "Camp Packanack". It's very similar to any summer camp,they are numerous games and challenges for the kids. This year,Matthew Henson an up and coming athlete, Kenny Riedell your Average joe,Mitch Floyd a stoner, Aj Manson A rocker chick,Vanessa Jones,Track and field star Brandon Wilson reknown quarterback, Tiffany Cox, the easiest girl in school and more will be this year camp cousenlours. Schools have been around since 1837. The first one was created by Horace Mann. He was also called, “Father of the Common School Movement” (Why was school created?). His idea was to have the teacher create a curriculum to teach to the students. School are still like this today. They’re are based off a curriculum and they must teach it in that school year. Each school year is 180 days within about nine months and three months off in the summer.

Summer school is beneficial to students. it Promotes social development and personal growth. It encourages physical activity and routine. Students get in low income groups when they don't go to summer school because they forget stuff. Summer school is beneficial to students.

Congress has tried making all schools year round because America falls behind other countries academically. This would be fine, but for me and the other kids there are certain needs that year round schools do not understand that they’re lacking. For example, educators need time to prepare for the lessons they need to do for the next school year, taking a break from stress can nullify mental and physical damage to children, and without extended breaks kids they will be burnt out and less motivated by the start of the new year. What did I do over winter break? I did so many fun things these past two weeks. I went to the mall with my friend, then he came over to my house, and he gave me a Christmas present.

Spring break was for an adventure for me. I did lots of stuff from playing games and watching netflix to camping and exploring. On my first few days of spring break, I just slept in and watched netflix. I personally liked how it started out, i wasn't waking up tired and i was at full power when i woke up. The shows i watched on netflix where walking dead and the OA. Later on in the break i decided to rewatch all the Harry Potter movies and that was one of my favorite part of the break. It took me about 2 to 3 days to watch all 8 movies. After Harry Potter I watched other movies but i mostly Played games like Rocket League and Fortnite. On the last week of spring break i planed last minute camping and sleeping over with my friends in the backyard.

For spring break, I went to the airshow and we brought out the family to go and see it. My family and I enjoyed seeing the air show that day. I also went out many times and walked my dog, which was pretty relaxing and went out for a jog. My other family came over and hung out a few times to be together and made food as well. I had track practice a few times and made me more active and felt better about myself, it was tiring but it was a great way to start my day on a daily basis. I had some of my spare time and got to draw many drawings over spring break because it’s what I like doing the most. Meanwhile my parents would work, I would have to babysit my two younger siblings and they were a pain sometimes but I would find a way to calm them

What would happen if instead of the school year ending with a long summer break, it kept going all year round? Many students and teachers have gotten used to the time schedule that we already have. The school year should remain the same because the students and teachers get longer breaks, have more free time over the summer, and some students have a chance to work a summer only job.

Though it may seem that the large quantity of college students vacationing in a town for spring break would stimulate the economy and bring in revenue, the assumption is distorted. College students are broke and survive only on necessity goods, rather than luxury goods. In other words, they will pay for cheap motel rooms and bad beer, rather than purchasing fancy hotel rooms and expensive alcohol. Furthermore, college students have little income, so they cannot afford to buy souvenirs, seafood dinners, and participate in activities such as parasailing, compared to the families that vacation in the summer months.

Each Spring Break, students flock to their favorite destination place or plan a tropical getaway to enjoy a break from winter storms, school works- midterms & papers. While some students may spend their time off relaxing with Netflix, or catching up on sleep or games, while others may take a more alternative route to the traditional Mercy spring break. I was one among them who decided to participate campus ministry’s 2016 Alternative spring break- Savannah, Georgia.

I had a great summer break. I did a whole bunch of fun things over summer break. I traveled to cedar point we rode all the rides there. We climbed on another ride till there was no more rides. We almost rode them twice it was so much fun to go to cedar point. Then we played games where you can win stuffed animals and toys. They had a place where you can buy food and drinks. We left at elven o clock didn’t get home till twelve o clock at night. Next as soon as I got home we went to bed. I will go all the time we will travel to cedar point. I am going to go next summer to when we get off again. We also went on a train to look around at cedar point. My sister and I rode all of the rides. My mom and dad didn’t ride all of them they just watched

Spring break, a time to take a break from school and go on vacation. This year my girlfriend and her family took me to Kentucky. I was so happy. I just love the south. The people there are just so nice they truly have “Southern Hospitality”. My girlfriend and I packed up to get ready for our long trip to the south. We woke up super early to get a head start, we put our bags in the cars and headed to go eat at Mcdonalds to get something in our stomachs. Then we headed off out of Indiana to Kentucky! We saw so many beautiful buildings and so many places about food. Once we got to Kentucky we went to an aquarium and saw so many fish and ocean life creatures it was awesome. We ate at many places like, Waffle House, Cheesecake Factory, and Fatboys.

Spring break, what do you think it is? Well if you ask me it sounds like a vacation on some island where its hot, well that’s not what my parent think, they think we should spend spring break together. So there I was home in Whitestone spending my spring break in my room, like me being on my room or island would differ, but my parents like to be with me under the same roof.
