I did not see any loose carts or excessive litter in the newly resurfaced, great looking parking lot. The inside of the store was appealing with its well lit, clean and in good order aisles. The men’s restroom gave me the impression that someone had spent some time in making it look good. I met Don as he was stocking a shelf in a grocery aisle. This person was very friendly! He did not only lead me to a product, but he had me smiling and happy as we talked. I did pass several other employees in the aisles. Each one had a smile with a personal greeting for me. All the departments had a friendly employee in them. The departments were all well stocked and products were easy to see. Cory in the Deli/Hot Bar was very helpful. He handled my questions
I decided for my social observation the mall would be a good place to start. I came there on a Friday evening when there should be plenty of people to watch. I also sat in the Barnes and Noble café after that to observe. I expected to see a lot of people shopping and conversing. A few things did stand out to me within the few hours I was there. Some things I didn’t expect to see. We are expected to behave a certain way in public determined by our culture as to what is acceptable. Some people stay well within the lines while some might stray outside the norms but never too far typically. Usually the ones to travel to the extremes are adolescents and teenagers. This is what I observed.
I'm harassed daily at Pitt University, Greensburg under the Hands of William Bill Franicola. These employees know they can get away with their action of laughing in our faces, slurs, hand gestures and comments Mr. Franicola is present letting this behavior continue. Nothing is confiding at Pitt after Joe told me he was keeping an eye on Bob Godzik, outside the pole building Donna Myers, Vicki Hoak is pointing there two fingers at Bob saying they are keeping their eyes on you then moving their fingers towards their eyes. They did the same Hand gestures to Dan Kelly when Bob Godzik was present in the office. When Joe changed my work area to Cassel Hall due to harassment from Bob and Julie Godzik after the change there was several anti-Bullying
In the society, people interact and express their behaviors differently. Sometimes the personality of a person can be identified by different factors such as body language or facial expression. This field work observation report will give more details about individuals’ behavior. There were 10 people being observed from this field work. The first case was a woman who was on the conversation on the phone while sitting. It was 6:20 AM on Monday, Nov 7 in the ticket office of Lansdale train station. I was sitting in front of her. The woman looked around constantly during the conversation. In addition, whenever the door open, she always looked who is walking in. Sometimes she took a short breath, fondled her hair, and lifted her toes. The second
The amount of mental fortitude a person possess can only be measured once the individual runs out of it. I decided to see how much I possessed when I went to Air Force boot camp. I knew that the duration of the training would include a rigorous agenda designed to break my physical and mental will.
If I am walking around my hometown and notice that half or more people are overweight, the way that I would explain this observation is by focusing on the person's diet as it relates to the amount of processed foods which consist of hormones and GMOs that the people consume every day out of habit and social acceptance. If I were C. Wright Mills my analysis would differ in the observation by not focusing on a single person's diet habits but on the public as a whole and how the food market focuses on creating these processed foods and distributes these foods filled with hormones and GMOs into the public causing this obesity problem.
At my workplace, I was observing a customer fast pacing toward the front entrance of the restaurant. I noticed that he stopped halfway before the entrance and frantically patting around his pockets and reaching into his jacket pocket to check for something. It seems as though he forgets his wallet or keys in the car, because he turned around and started pacing around the corner toward the parking lot. I think he forget his wallet in the car as he rushed to meet his companions in the restaurant.
Overall, I saw that store employees do exhibit the correct interpersonal behaviors that lead to positive interactions with customers. Each employee had a true interaction with the customers. The employees I observed always had a smile on their face and never complained or slowed down their work. They truly wanted to help the customer get in and out as fast as possible with no problems. For example, David, the golf department supervisor, was working with the female who needed new grips. The look on his face was excitement. He loved teaching her about all the grips and wanted to her leave with the right purchase. Brett, the employee in the shoe department, was very friendly to the customers that needed help. For example, when the kid who came
On November 24, 2016, Officer LESSANE responded to the incident location in reference to assisting removing individuals from the business due to business closing down for the night. Upon my arrival, I could hear loud talking and screaming coming from the back of the business. Officer LESSANE and Sgt. GOETHIE walked around the business to make contact with the subjects. Upon walking around the business, I observed a large crowd of individuals that appeared as if they were attempting to cease a altercation. Officers then attempted to cleared the area in which I was informed by an individual (ANNA ALTOBELLI) that she was assaulted during the process of breaking up a physical altercation.
A month before I graduated from high school I signed up for a volunteer program with the intention of changing the world. I spent my life savings on a plane ticket, and the obvious food and homestay finances. After everything was set in stone I decided to tell my parent about how I was going to Peru to volunteer. She was filled with many different emotions but overall she was happy that I was trying to give back to the world.
How might better utilizing our school level counselors and the eEWS Data System, positively influence the improvement of student academics, behavior and attendance at JCHS? The most effective schools will provide opportunities for all struggling students within their school to achieve success. Many students are often left to fall through the cracks. Progress monitoring can be done using a variety of methods. A number of progress monitoring measures have been reviewed by the National Center on Response to Intervention and the National Center for Student Progress Monitoring and vary considerably in reliability, validity, and other key progress monitoring standards (Hughes, C., & Dexter, D., 2011). In most schools, the student athletes are
“Technology allows employers to monitor their employees within the workplace, and employees feel that such monitoring is a violation of their privacy rights” (“Workplace Privacy and Employee Monitoring”, 2017, para.1). Employers often monitor their employees’ behavior to ensure that their business stays secure, and that their employees are safe and productive. Employers must inform their employees that they are monitored, and set company policies explaining the process and what is expected of them. Employers are often monitoring their employees phone calls, emails, and internet usage. The focus of this paper is to address legal, privacy, security, and ethical arguments regarding employee monitoring through video surveillance and email monitoring.

I was surprising to see a variety of organizations and clubs. I think over 50 organizations set up the stands to talk about their organizations. Despite hot weather, there were a lot of students out on Greene Street. People were handing out the posters, stickers, and sweet treats. The stands were decorated with club banners and information boards to attract new members. Each booth turned on different music. The club members were busy interacting with the students. They helped students to discover different choices for getting involved on the campus. There were also some performers danced on the street. The fair give the students a picture of what to expect around the campus and what the clubs have to offer. I didn’t visit all the stands since
Upon arrival, I was greeted by the manager, Miriam Mardonze. I informed her that the evaluations are due at the end of week six. We spoke briefly in regards to the participants’ performance. She stated that all was well and they were doing a great. At the time of my visit, there was no participants schedule to work. The works site was kept well ventilated, clean and organized. I was able to observe accessible emergency exits and fire extinguishers. Overall, this work site remains in compliance with DYCD rules and regulations.
The area I chose as my subject matter was the diverse area of Flatbush – Ditmas Park. But, with a specific focus on the 1120 zip code area which surrounds Brooklyn College. I selected this area because as a Brooklyn College student I spend a tremendous amount of time on or around campus. It seemed fitting for me to invest some effort to better understand the neighborhood I am so frequently a patron of.
