World War II was a continuation of World War I, to prove this statement I have found some accurate reasoning as to why this would be true. The key instigation of World War II began with patriotic hostility, unresolved issues, and bitterness that was carried over from World War I and the in between period of small wars in Europe, not forgetting to mention the outcomes of the Great Depression in the 1930s.
Various individuals think that the Treaty of Versailles, came to the conclusion of the World War I. However, fully failed to set up the containment and diffusion of animosity amongst the national leaders and its loyal patriots which could have prevented the second war, if done correctly but instead caused the second World War to occur. The
The world was completely unaware of the bloody future that awaited them before 1914, the world was at peace and ignorant not willing to see the future. For the ever country in the world was to busy trying to become more powerful then the next, and the best way to accomplish that were alliances. Alliances were made so that if one country went to war, their allies would also go to war with the same enemy. But this strategy proved deadly when Archduke Franz Ferdinand was killed and the entire country was dragged into war. World War one began in 1914 and ended in 1918, and it was the first total war fought via trench warfare, which proved to be a bloody combination. World War I shook the entire world by making the distance fear of world destruction a reality, and how it could be started by one death, the death of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. At first the countries of the world felt as though it would be a quick and easy war
One could make the argument WW 2 was a continuation of WW1. World War 2 occurred twenty years after World War 1. WW 1 left causes leading to WW 2, like, Treaty of Versailles and the search for thorough ideas, such as Fascism, communism and militarism. It was due to the terrible conditions of different countries after the wars. I think that World War II was a continuation of World War I.
On January 22, 1917, Woodrow Wilson addressed the United States Senate appealing for a settlement of conflict for ‘peace without victors’. Unfortunately the Treaty of Versailles was signed by participating nations and could not end the hostilities that terrorized to destroy European Civilization. The Treaty of Versailles is one of the most important social and physical agreement or disagreements that help shape the European 20th century. The treaty was very important because it violated Wilson’s ideals. The Treaty of Versailles was the official end of the World War I and was ultimately the main reason that led to World War II.
Treaties are used to establish peace and agreement between different countries, however, in the case of The Treaty of Versailles, it had the opposite effect. It was signed on June 28th, 1919 by Germany and the Allies to put an end to the First World War. At this time it was unknown that it would actually be the factor that contributed to the beginning of the Second World War. The Treaty of Versailles greatly affected Germany’s economy by forcing them to pay reparations for all the damage that had been done during the war.
During the events of WWII, the world’s scientific community learned that German physicists had unlocked the secrets of splitting a uranium atom. The world quickly came to fear the idea of Nazi scientists finding a way to harness that energy and create a weapon of mass destruction the likes of which had never been seen before.
The questioned raised is whether or not I believe that WWII was a continuation of WWI. I do believe WWII happened as a result of some of the things which came out of WWI, however, not necessarily as a continuation. Although both wars had similarities, they were both fought between different groups of countries and both for different reasons. There were different alliances in both wars. WWI and WWII were the largest military battles in human history.
America’s involvement in World War II has often been equated to the Japanese waking the “sleeping giant”, and is often thought of as an invincible superpower. The reality is that the United States’ invincibility has never been really tested. The United States’ is separated from the rest of the Western world by an ocean on either side of its borders and has therefore only had two attacks on native soil. While America’s invincibility is not easily tested, and therefore not easily discredited, whether or not the Japanese awoke the “sleeping giant” by bombing Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, is, however, debatable. The American public before the attack on Pearl Harbor were isolationists, they may have felt sympathy for the victims of
Since its end, World War II has been talked about extensively by historians. The lead up to the war, the war itself, and the events after the war have contributed to why the war has been so popular among historians. The unique way the war was fought and the way the war altered the course of history has intrigued historians. Up until World War II, civilians had generally been off limits in war. While you could cause as much carnage as you wished on the battlefield against soldiers, killing civilians on purpose was generally discouraged. Civilians would die in wars prior to this, but it was mostly because of disease or famine, not because of weapons or purposeful actions. World War II did not follow this principal, and this war was fought with a blatant disregard for human life, which was something not seen much before. This war has captivated because of the way it changed history. For example, The Holocaust greatly influenced leaders around the world to agreeing with the Zionist idea, and making a Jewish state. The Allies winning sparked the Cold War between the US and the Soviet Union. These events have greatly influenced how the world looks today, and without World War II, we cannot say that these things would occur. With this being said, many Americans believe that the deadliest fighting occurred in the Pacific and in Western Europe. While fighting was vicious in these theaters, the deadliest fighting occurred on the Eastern Front.
World War I and World War II are very similar, but is World War II an extension of the First World War? Although there were many different aspects involving both World Wars, events at the end of World War I did lead into the second war. Various alliances, poor economics, and countries wanting supreme control are a few aspects of how they are similar. Basically, World War II was a continuation of World War I. Many of the same alliances that were present in the First World War were present in the Second World War.
I don't think that WWII was a continuation of WWI. Firstly, WWI was America’s war against Austria, Hungary, and Germany. WWII was a retaliation on Japanese because of the bombing on Pearl Harbor. The main cause for WWII starting was that Adolf Hitler was angry that Germany lost the first war. We ended WWII shortly after we entered by dropping bombs in Hiroshima and in Nagasaki.
We can all remember the day that World War One began. It all started when Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated on the 28th of June, 1914 along with his wife, Sophie. This tragic death was only one of the many causes of the War to end all wars. The end of the bloody battle was both good and bad. We may have won the war, but the many lives lost will never be forgotten.
It is believe that World War II was a continuation of World War I because factors from the First World War, like the Treaty of Versailles, communism and fascism that left the European countries in different states of distress after the war. Not only were the countries left to rebuild after World War I, but it seemed that many countries still had unfinished business to attend too.
The Treaty of Versailles was said to end the “war of all wars” or in other words ended World War I, but it was the trigger for a far worse war to come. The Treaty of Versailles was just a mess. There was bias and cruelty spread throughout the whole document. Those terms smothered with bias and cruelty was what set off the chain of events that would eventually, about twenty years later, start World War II.
No, I do not believe that World War II was a continuation of World War I. Although, both wars were fought over different purposes, World War I was started when after the assassination of the Francis Ferdinand and his wife, along with nationalism. While World War II started due to political and economic reasons in Germany. The Treaty of Versailles came into play in During World War I, ending the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers while calling on peace ending the war.
Taking place during the second half of World War II, a solider by the name of Yossarain is stationed with his Air Force squadron on the island of Pianosa, which is near the Italian cost along the Mediterranean Sea. Yossarian and his friends endure a nightmarish and utterly freakish kind of lifestyle which would be defined by bureaucracy and violence: they are seen as inhuman resources by the eyes of their blindly ambitious and foolish superior officers. The squadron is thrown thoughtlessly into quit brutal combat situations and bombing runs in which for some unknown reason it is more important for the squadron members to capture good aerial photographs of explosions than to destroy their targets which is very risky and could end fatal if any mistake were to occur. Their colonels continually raise the number of missions that they are required to fly before being sent home, so that no one is ever sent home. Everyone thinks he is crazy when he insists that millions of people are trying to kill him. Still, no one but Yossarian seems to realize that there is a war going on as Yossarian struggles to stay alive, despite the many parties who seem to want him dead.
