Worldview Analysis
Introduction
The United States of America has gone through several challenges since it gained independence. Some of these challenges have been effectively tackled by the respective governments by passing of laws that have ended up building strong institutions that maintain the moral fabric of the American society. These are some of the process philosophies that have led to a United States of America that respects life and more so, a more stable economic environment that has ensured that the American dream flourishes. The forms of discrimination that existed were racial and religious discrimination. It is however important to note that racial discrimination took center stage with several Americans of African origin being looked down upon in several ways by their white counterparts. They were not even allowed to board the same bus on their way to work. There was dire need for change for several numbers of the black people suffered in the hands of their male counterparts in various sectors of the economy and especially in the employment and education sectors (Paterson, 2010). The Civil Rights groups solved these problems with effective mass actions and demonstrations against racial discrimination. Some of the civil rights activists that championed for a united America that is free from racial discrimination were Martin Luther King J.R., Rev. Jesse Jackson and John Marshal Allan. Both the white people and black people have leveled their difference thus there is equal opportunity for people. This is a major improvement on the part of the civil rights groups that have put on a brave face to ensure that people get their rights in all spheres of life. The current state of affairs in the United States is so good that any person irrespective of his racial origin can garner for a political post and make it (Egerton, 2013). A good example is the current president who is an African American man, affirming the fact that the democratic space has expanded for all people irrespective of their race. The improvements that were championed for by the Civil rights activists can also be felt in the education sector. The black people were also given the equal right to quality education as compared to the past when they suffered lack of proper education. The Emancipation Proclamation that was led by Abraham Lincoln was also fundamental to the current changes in the employment sectors. The black people have equally had better chances of securing employment opportunities with superb payment
