In the beginning of A Wrinkle in Time, Madeleine L’Engle shows Meg’s insecurities by comparing her to Camazotz. In the beginning of the book, Meg wants to be the same as everyone else, similar to life on Camazotz. “Quote” (6). This quote shows that Meg wants to hide her differences, practically eliminating them, in able to fit in.This is very similar to the way Camazotz functions, having everyone be the same. “Quote” (152).
