The Rebellion
I was 11 when my parents were taken away. I remember vividly what happened that day. It had been a warm and sunny day, my parents had come back from work at the outskirts of ‘The Main’; my father was a farmer and my mother packaged items to send to ‘The Central’. The night was cold, and because my family were ‘brown eyes’ we were treated differently from the others meaning that we couldn’t pay for light or heat. We barely even made enough for a meal once a day. I was sitting at the table eating my soup while my parents were in the kitchen talking. My house was very small, we only had four rooms; the sitting room, the kitchen, the hall, and the bedroom which we had to share. I was almost done with my soup when I heard a loud banging

I climbed out, and looked around. Most of the drawers, cupboards and doors were either open or smashed. My parents had vanished, they were nowhere to be seen. I walked to, what used to be, the front door. I looked outside and was horrified to see that half of the houses were in flames or had burnt down completely. I didn’t know what to do, I didn’t know what to say, I didn’t know what to think. I don’t know why, but I started to run. I ran as fast as I could I wasn’t going to stop. I was going to the city limits, I was going to leave ‘The Main’. I jumped the fence, and was engulfed by trees and plants. I walked around, I didn’t know what to do; should I go back? Should I hand myself in? When I was deep in thought a hand covered my mouth and I fell to the …show more content…
They told me that ‘The Central’ were taking all the ‘brown eyes’ and locking them up in what was named ‘The Black Box’, and they told me that they had a plan to take them back and save the ‘brown eyes’ from their plan. They showed me their armoury and the full plan and told me that they were commencing the plan that Friday, 4 days away.
It was Friday, we were armed. There was about one hundred of us ready to fight, although not even half of us had even shot a gun before. Most of us had pistols but a few people including myself had fully automatic machine guns. We walked to the fence and stealthily made our way in to ‘The Main’, we were told that ‘The Black Box’ was on the east side of ‘The Main’. We finally reached there, and all we had to do it wait for the scheduled delivery truck to enter the building so we could sneak inside and rescue everyone. We got close to the truck but a bit to close and we were spotted, all we could do was
September 11th 2001 there was a surprise attack on the United States by terrorists. The terrorists allegedly hijacked four airplanes. One was meant for the White House, one was meant for the Pentagon and the other two were meant for the twin tower which fell and many lives were lost. However some say it was not terrorists and that it was the United States government and that the government set a bomb and that they had several motives to do this.
Explain in your own words how the threat, the attack and the response to the September 11, 2001 attack moved American policing into the era of Homeland Security
American History has a lot of famous historical events. One of them would be the 9/11; which is a very memorable attack that happened years back. It is a very significant event in American history because it changed peoples point of view. Many people saved, lost, and risked their lives to save others. To this day the memorial for every person still stands and is remembered for every year and day.
"A plane just crashed right into one of the Twin Towers!" Someone yelled. People were screaming because they were on fire. Others were fleeing for their life, but all I could do was stare in awe at the smoking hole in one of the biggest towers in New York. September 11, 2001, one of the most devastating days for me, and for all of America.
The morning of 9/11 I wasn’t going to go to work because I had an allergy appointment,
Nearly everyone in America remembers this day and the significance that it had in their life. Just the mention of September 11th (9/11) is enough to instill certain feelings in Americans. Those old enough to have lived through that day almost certainly can remember where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news on September 11th 2001. The terrible images playing on the televised news reports for days and weeks and the images of the attacks are burned in all of our minds.
As most Americans know, for over 10 years already, we have been in a war with Afghanistan due to the World Trade Center attack on 9/11. The war had a stated goal to dismantle the Taliban and a terrorist organization called “Al-Qaeda,” as well as to end Al-Qaeda’s use of Afghanistan as their base for making facilities such as terrorist training camps and secretive underground bases. The War on Terror began on October 7th, 2001, as a result of the 9/11 terrorist attacks where nearly 3,000 innocent American citizens lost their lives. Many people do believe that the terrorist attack was a “false flag” operation on America by the Elite who run the country with a goal to run oil pipelines from the Caspian Sea through Afghanistan all the way to
On September 11, 2001 the World Trade Center buildings one and two were attacked. However, who we were attacked by and even if we were attacked is a hard decision to make. There have been many different claims about how everything on that fateful day happened. There are facts that we know are true, though; Flight 11 flew into the North Tower at eight forty- six in the morning. Soon after, Flight 175 attacked the South Tower. By the end of the day, both towers had collapsed and other hijacked flights had caused damage. The amount of lives lost on September 11 was substantial; 2,749 people from eighty-three different countries died from the attacks (Facts about the attacks…, n.d.). All in all, America was changed forever.
Many people, including myself, would consider the terrorist attack of 9/11 as one of the most horrific events in US history. This event had changed and affected not just America but the entire world. .
Every American citizen can remember exactly where they were on the day September 11, 2001, this day was burned into the mind of American because the biggest terrorist attack in American history would occur. Two Boeing planes hijacked by a terrorist organization named al-Qaeda who would crash the planes into the world trades centers, sending America into shock(Pizzo,2016). There have been countless laws and regulations passed in America since the awful terrorist attacks on 9/11, has it been effective or a failure. The attack on September 11, 2001, will forever be a turning point in American history, it raised one of the most important questions in American society today what is more import for a citizen freedom or security and the law put in place to combat these horrific terrorist attack ultimately would be ineffective and tear American more apart on political issues.
September 11, 2001, the United States was attacked by terrorist. It involved four planes that were hijacked. Three planes hit buildings such as, World Trade Center 1, World Trade Center 2, and the Pentagon. Another plane eventually crashed in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. September 11, many Americans fear for their lives, 17 years later, do we actually know what really happened? What secrets are the government is keeping from us American citizens? There's questions that still have not been answered.
The attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001 were the direct result of the failure of US agencies, ranging from the White House to airport security, to recognize vulnerabilities present in the various symptoms. The reason why these vulnerabilities were not acknowledged and repaired is that these various agencies were trapped in a cognitive dissonance cycle of thinking. After the Cold War, terrorism was seen as a regional problem (9/11 Commission, 92). The majority of terrorist groups were either groups sponsored by governments or militants trying to create governments (i.e. Palestine Liberation Organization). As a result, the tactics used for fighting terrorism were centralized mostly in the Middle East and were restricted to
September 11, 2001 is the day four planes were hijacked and three crashed into important buildings, while the last crashed into a field. And today all the grief, devastation, great sacrifice, and total annihilation will be remembered throughout time as 9/11. To tell you everything would take forever, so instead I will tell you how my mother saw it. It was on a day we all know as 9/11, there was a house on Quimby Way in Sacramento, California. And in this house, my mother was going throughout her day as usual, which most likely involved laundry, dishes, and watching two children by the name of Alanna and Christopher, when she saw the news. “Is this really happening? This can’t be true! Was it an accident? Oh my god, both towers! What would ever make someone do that? This is terrible, why is it even happening in the first place? Why? Why?
Most Americans remember the hardship from the events that took place on September 11, 2001. It was a very hard time for many families; loved ones were passing or saying their last words over the phone. It was hard on more than just those people though. Through it, all heroes stepped-up and terrorists were overcome. Damage was done, but memorials were built to remember the good, not the bad. September 11, 2001, is a day that terrorists tried to bring America to its knees; however, heroes arose to act as true patriots to save hundreds of lives including Flight 93 and the Pentagon.
Smoke bellows into the sky, children cry. Everyone stands in awe and shock as they see, one shadow of a person jump, one by one of the two 110 story buildings. 9/11 is one of the U.S devastating moments. To many people died. The young and old. The two hijacked planes showed no mercy as they soared 500 miles per hour into the Twin Towers. 9/11 was where Osama Bin Laden targeted people, who never knew what their terrible fate would be.
