I write to you because I express the utmost interest in working for the Writing Class 227. A current sophomore at Portland Community College, I am a extraordinarily motivated, determined individual with a drive to succeed and a skilled individual for everything Writing. I love to interact with people, and I have a strong desire to please and satisfy. As a student, I find that writing allows me to be the most creative, while maintaining efficiency and ease. But most importantly, Apple and its products allow the user to follow his passions, his dreams, his ambitions, and his daily tasks of life with so much effectiveness.

Nurses are dependent on by people, because everyone in life needs medication. I chose to do my Senior Capstone Project over becoming a Nurse, because I feel I am the right candidate. Throughout this research paper I would like to introduce many circumstances a Nurse has to go through, and steps it takes to get to where these life changing leaders are today.
Freshman 101 is a class adapted from the parrot program (Fay & Medway, 2006, p. 226). The parrot program was designed for college students at Cornell University. Freshman 101 is the first of its kind in the state of South Carolina and the first to extend Parrot’s college program to high school freshmen (p. 226). Each two-hour intervention class contained 25 to 30 freshmen students. The objectives of the class were to have participants understand the definition of acquaintance rape and the frequency that it takes place along with South Carolina’s laws regarding rape (p. 226). Students also learned about mixed messages associated with verbal and non-verbal communication and how to clearly state their wants and desires (p. 227). Communication,
Your senior year was a wild, crazy mess. You started off the year not wanting to go to school to see Karson because you couldn’t handle it. You even left school some days when he would show up. You let your dumb self try again with Karson and it failed. You got hurt, and even cried.... A lot. You meet the love of your life, Kyle, and still talk to him even though you guys aren’t together right now. You both hope to reconnect after you finish your second year of college. Keep talking to him, don’t let him get away from you. You have had it tough this year, but by the end of the year you didn’t let anything affect you. Your grades were A’s and B’s all year. You made some amazing new friends like, Chandler, Clayton Ecker, Collin and more boys
Coming from being a junior in high school to now being a senior. Senior in high school is going to be one of the most favorite and scariest parts of my life. Everyone says that it is one of the biggest part of your life. They say senior year will be one of my favorite memories. My expectations for high school amounts to worrying about deadlines for my high school projects, everyone asking about where I will be attending college, and trying to figure out what I am going to do with the rest of my life.
If someone ask me what is my favorite memories in high school for now. I’ll says that is my sophomore year. Because sophomore year is the year that changed my mind and my life, the year that I meet my awesome friend and everyone look at me a different way and here is what happened to my sophomore year.
I can fairly say that sophomore year of high school has changed who I am completely. In sophomore year I decided to take on miscellaneous experiences to gain valuable work ethic that will help me to persist in college. These include joining a sport, and being accepted into a three year paid internship after going through an interview.Being the daughter of parents with a restricted income has limited my plans of funding my college education. My father is retired and my mother is a housewife which minimizes our financial abilities, however, this doesn’t prevent me from my pursuit of a college education. Gathering a sufficient amount to cover for my tuition and fees has been on my mind since sophomore year of high school, so I started to save up.
Nelson Mandela once proclaimed that, “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to the change the world.” In truth, education impacts every individual in some way. Education helps people to develop necessary life skills as well as self worth, and helps individuals change their life situation.
My senior year is coming to an end, high school is pretty much over. With the finish line quickly approaching, I reflect on all the things I’ve done in these past four years and, more importantly, all the things I did not do in the past four years that I probably should have. In retrospect, I never did feel like high school was going to be where the best time of my life would be remembered, but now that it’s pretty much over I think maybe I should have treated it like it was. I would love to be able to say there is nothing I didn’t do that I wanted to and that I didn’t have any regrets, but there is a fair share of both. When I think too much about the end, I get sentimental about the experiences, friends, laughs, awkward moments, and more.
That makes it hard to breathe. That summer, the instructors and the upperclassmen put the cadets through physical tests that test their problem solving and leadership skills. His first ride in a military jet was during his freshman year. He flew in a Lockheed T-33 (109-115). The summer before his sophomore year, he went through survival training. It was called SERE training, which stood for “survival, evasion, resistance, and escape.” It was designed to teach them skills if they were captured, how to not be captured, and just basic survival skills. By sophomore year, Sully realized how all of the skills he had learned helped him mature. His sophomore year, Sully got an outstanding amount of flying experience and instruction. He signed up to
This year in Student Government has been a great time. All of our hard work and commitment has definitely reflected in our success and outcomes of our events. I have learned so much in such a short time. Since I have more experience now from Freshman year, I am eager for what is to come my Sophomore year. In order for this next year to be as rewarding as this past one, there are a few things I think we should do to make the transition of a new teacher as smooth as possible. I think if we adjust the commissioner jobs, are open to new ideas brought by our new teacher, and have specific goals set at our summer meeting, we will have no problem staying on track next year.
Senior year was a year to remember. Imagine walking into your school for the last time, you start to realize that soon you will be entering the real world, called reality. Memories like eating breakfast with friends, walking down the halls with your friends. Basically hanging out with friends, is what I can keep in my heart and cherish them forever.
My junior year of high school was the most challenging and eye opening year that I have experienced during my high school career. Although my junior year was extremely difficult, being assigned all honors classes, I also had some outstanding accomplishments. My junior year I was faced with some hard curriculum, but with my determination and mindset to do well, I finished off my entire year with second honors. I was finally rewarded for all of my hard work by being invited to join the National Honor Society and the National Hispanic Honor Society. I know that being invited to join these honor societies meant I had to keep my grades up a lot higher than even my standards, and at the time with this curriculum, it felt impossible.
I believe that a successful senior student should be opened minded and push themselves to help others and strive to reach their goals. Always being ready for the next challenge is a skill that is important in a leadership role and as a senior student they should guide other students when going through their school career. Another important quality that a senior student needs is social skills when talking to students, teachers and parents, also they will be representatives of the school and must be verbally articulate to express their ideas.
Looking back at my introduction letter from September I have noticed that I have greatly improved in my essay writing and study habits. I still think that I could study a little harder for vocab quizzes. There are not many obstacles in my way other than sometimes I do not study at all, which of course causes problems. I believe memorizing the roots of the vocab words is very helpful to me if I forget a word's meaning. On my vocabulary quizzes I usually get around a 75. Also my paragraphs have been really good and well written even though I could definitely improve on my transitions. On my essays I usually get 90 and above.
