X-1 avoided many of the reasons for new-product failure to ensure the success of their products. First they avoided the failure reason “insignificant point difference”. They made sure that their earbuds would not be overlooked as just any other earbuds. They emphasized that X-1 products are waterproof, sweatproof, and weatherproof, to meet the needs of athletes. They avoided the failure reason “incomplete market and product protocol before product development starts”. X-1 knew there was a market for their product among athletes, and their products could meet what these athletes were looking for in the performance of earbuds. X-1 avoided the failure reason of “bad timing”. They knew that people are growing ever more attached to their smartphones

Quality: Nike’s places strong emphasis on the quality of their products by reinforcing their tight measurement on their supplier’s performance. The company has long been known for their superior quality, reliability, and excellent designs. Furthermore, they capitalized on their high quality by investing heavily in marketing initiatives to increase brand loyalty and strengthen consumer confidence, which ultimately increases the consumer utility of their products. Creating a team of Nike Scientists devoted to continuously improving the quality of their products was only one part of their strategy. They also invested heavily in a quality control system known as the InfinityQS, which helps them identify areas of issue and monitor the overall quality of their products. (InfinityQS)

Companies like Under Armour, Nike and Adidas/Reebok have high threats of substitute´s products. These companies share the sport apparel industry and are vulnerable to competitive pressure from the actions of buyers whenever they view that their products can be substituted for others. The availability of substitutes invites the costumer to compare performance, features, and ease of use as well as price. Under Armour’s major competitors are Nike and Adidas/Reebok because they have a similar or competing product offerings. The top sport apparel brands offer similar products and that is why each one of them needs to keep a high standard and produce good quality products in order for customers to keep buying their product.
Therefore, it really needed a strong product that responded the market’s needs and wants so that the product could speak itself in order to survive the keen competition.

Xcaret is a place located in Mexico, specifically in the Riviera Maya. The first time I visited this place I lived in Mexico for a short time and it was amazing. I was very excited because I had never been at such a beautiful place. The employees welcome you with a smile and a map. So, I did not lost. Xcaret is a wonderful place that many exotic species call home, such as African lions, dolphins, sea turtles and many other species of animals. It is a preferred destination for alternative healthy recreational activities, such as a canoe ride through a jungle full of beautiful birds and local butterflies. Take a hike trail and see Mayan pyramids all throughout. You can also cool down and relax in their lazy river expedition.
A product I usually use is beats by Dr. Dre. Before everyone else started purchasing them, I used to see a lot of advertisements about the earbuds. It was crazy, they were everywhere especially on T.V commercials. I also, used to see a lot of professional basketball players and celebrities using the product as well. Eventually, the product became so popular that everyone wanted them. In school everyone would talk about the product and its high quality. I didn’t know how well they worked, but I couldn’t wait to get one. Especially, since most of my peers started purchasing them, and that’s when I actually wanted to get them badly because I found out that they were the real deal. Also, they were better than all the earbuds I ever had. In fact,
Further on the subject of customization, Nike had great difficulties balancing customization with speed-to-market. I believe the external factors of significant competition, changing market place and resulting disappointing financial performance in growth markets lead Nike to rush the implementation and interfered with normal OBB. The rushing meant that a guideline, templates and implementation methodology was discarded by Nike with the argument that the i2 provided material was too rigid. In general I would argue that Nike required technology that was not sufficiently available at the time. This pushed i2 to enter unknown software-territory and program-to-order disabling sufficient time for vendor/developer testing. The criticality of this was further boosted due to lack of testing from Nike, which clearly illustrates faults in phase 4 of the implementation as well. (Appendix 3)
Companies in this industry also attempt to differentiate themselves by technical advancements in the apparel. Companies compete to find the technology that consumers believe will help their overall performance in sports and activities; whether it’s a sweat wicking shirt or lighter shoe, consumers seek the product they believe will give them the greatest advantage. Overall, the rivalry amongst competitors is a strong force that ultimately lowers the profitability of the industry.
Moreover, the products were developed based on what the company believed the consumers wanted (O’Neill 2010). The group completely forgot one of the keys of success of every company, the customers and their needs.
In his report he discovered that the products with fewer non-conformities (high quality) were the ones that performed well after delivery to the customer. It was accepted by everyone but the challenge that came in front of Motorola executives was to develop a solution to tackle this problem.
I think that people shouldn’t be punish for things that are outside their ability to control, but Mr. X circumstance he had to be given some type of sign that something wasn’t right with his conduct and should have look for some kind of help as a result of his conduct. The tumor on his amygdala particularly in the frontal cortex can cause many changes physically and emotionally which could have made him kill his wife. Some of the functions of the frontal are creative thought and emotional behavior. So, I think the argument is did Mr. X know right from wrong at the time.
